The Xinjiang province in China is controversial due to allegations of human rights abuses against the Uyghur Muslim population and other ethnic minorities. Here are the main reasons why this region has garnered global attention and criticism: 1. Mass Detention Camps 2. Forced Labor 3. Surveillance State 4. Religious and Cultural Suppression 5. Sterilisation and Population Control 6. Geopolitical Tensions 7. Economic Importance 8. Accusations of Genocide
Hypocrisy. No one bats an eye at Inditex the H&M Group despite similar and in some cases, worse controversies (eventually found to be true), this is all such a grand show of double standards and obvious fear of the impact such an influential and rather powerful foreign (specifically Chinese) company could have on the British and therefore European (fashion) economy.
but not zara or H and M or mango???? in starting to think its westerns fast fashions propaganda to take shein out as they are huge competition due to affordability. its like how zuck and musk tries to destroy tiktok so that they can benefit from it. the only reason why i dislike shein is how it does steal design from smaller creators. WHICH actually normal other fast fashion brand does as well
it seems like it, in city i live - milan, we don't even have store of shein, but many real stores of brands you mentioned and others, yet they only bashing shein from every corner
Whatever the outcome, I’m so thankful to all the people that do the work to get things like this in court. Makes me think about how decent people put their neck on the line to protect put and end to industries just under 2 centuries ago.
We all want foreign labor, every country in the world INCLUDING China with its dwindling population but we can no longer export dignity, economies and human capital in this day and age!! Standards👏🏾Must👏🏾CHANGE👏🏾. Growing up in England made me believe human beings have solutions and regulations for everything. I know now as an adult especially after the virus that the world is not like that nor is it safe BUT these reprimands are encouraging.
Wow it’s hopeful that this is being done. I was thinking about how this differs to a US Congressional hearing that gets really tense and cutting, but yet a lot of times nothing happens to effectuate change. The fact the stock market here is willing to grill them and not accept them is surprising. They’re allegedly worth so much.
Sometimes you go to a client meeting and they ask smt that you didn’t prepare for in depth necessarily and this is what you do to stall until you get your docs/proof ready etc 😂
with no irony, what great news *it's not **_NEARLY_** enough,* but it's a start! 22:05 fitting... their sponsorship offers sound like that one guy that refuses to leave you alone at the bar
don't understand that whole shein bashing lately, i have shorts from them, exactly one item of clothing in my entire wardrobe - wearing them for 2 years already and going to wear this year too there is no physical shein store here in milan (i heard they have 1 store in whole europe), they made pop up for christmas couple years back, that''s it, but we have many zara, h&m, primark and all other fast fashion here, on every major street - does british/eu government grill those brands too? i don't see also many grilling videos on youtube here for these brands, it's only and mostly always shein weird
I personally grill most fast fashion brands to be honest as well as some luxury brands so it’s not like I’m not balanced. Two days ago was actually the first time I’ve covered Shein on the channel.
@@FashionRoadman not pointing finger at you personally, just noticing latest trend, also i started watching that live of yours on shein, i mean, it's not very exciting watch seeing lawyer lying for any client, it's kind of their job, couldn't finish it, although, i like your channel a lot

"its a yes or no question" was a great response
You should watch more committee hearings. They are always heated.

Wow. Chilling 😔…Seems like it would take a miracle to get these people some rights at this point.
Deflected so much, I'm surprised she didn't point and say ' Look over there'.
Homegirl was trying to pull some Looney Tunes shit I swear to god
Shein is getting their money’s worth with that lawyer. Absolute masterclass in not giving them anything.
Man do I love this channel, always on top of fashion current events
Really appreciate it 🙏🏿 ❤️

it's always fishy when the west suddenly cares about the mistreatment of muslim people
to be fair shein doesn't charge VAT , at least the western fast fashion brands are taxed. can't compete with zero tax.
