Spring Window Boxes, Front Porch Vision, and ALL the Ranunculus & Anemones Planted! Plus, BUNNIES!

- Garden Gals and Guys, today is quite a productive adventure in the garden because we're tackling several projects AND we encounter a very "Bunny" surprise. Buckle Up!
First, we tackle the front porch with my husband doing heavy lifting and topping everything off with fresh soil, so I can plant the window boxes and all containers. Then the heavy lifting continues in the back anemone and ranunculus beds where he tops them off with compost AND we encounter 4 BABY BUNNIES in a nest in my raised beds! Audible to bunny saving mode and I change my planting gameplan, but manage to FINALLY have ALL the ranunculus and anemones planted with great success in pre-sprouting (I didn't know if I was going to end up with any earlier this year).
The next morning I get after the window boxes and am so pleased with the results! Then I explain my vision for the rest of the front porch and just like Rome wasn't built in a day, I'll finish the other pots a different day in the next couple of weeks.
Gee whiz! I'm SO happy to have gotten all that done. The window boxes may be my favorite to date as well. And for those wondering, we did release the bunnies out into the world a few days later when we realized they were old enough and Mama wasn't coming home. One had already "flown the coop" anyway.

I absolutely love Blossom and branch. Brie is so knowledgeable. I too am not a flower farmer but every year I add more and more flowers to my yard and garden.

I just love how you guys responded to the surprise bunny nest! So many people would get annoyed about it or worse. And the anemones in that bed look incredible!

Thank you! It was a shocker, but they were sweet. They’ve been released, but I’m happy we could provide a cozy home for them while they were young! And thanks, I’m trying to push myself while not over doing it at the same time! ☺️

Oh, I jumped 3 feet in the air and my heart rate soared! I just didn’t get it on camera! I was SO happy with how much we got done. The gorgeous weather helped!

Thank you, Bonny! They’ve been released now that we know the mother already flew the nest and the were jumping trying to get out anyway…so my plants are okay right now! We’ll see if they come back to visit later this season! 😳
@@TinysGarden Thanks for remembering my name. They ate my baptisia, lilies, heuchera and my marigolds the day after I planted them.. I didn't plant any ranunculus this year. Don't know if they eat those or not. Your window boxes look very colorful.
looks great, the bunny nest was a surprise! Also, keep an eye out - those willow branches may root in the soil haha.

Hi Tiny Garden. Enjoy your channel and the bunnies. Just so you know the mother only comes to the nest twice a day for about 5 min to feed them quickly. She won’t stay by the nest and you won’t see her as it’s at dusk and dawn she. Comes. Please keep baby bunny’s in the nest or by the nest.

I have had issues starting my snaps and the ranunculus from seed. Just one if those years. Just starting zinnias. Stay well, remain positive.

Glad you are not lifting in this video! Everything is really taking shape in your front porch area! Makes me want to get out there and do the same. The bunnies! They are so scared. So cute right now, but little bunnies grow up and want to eat everything.
Thanks, Mom! It’s shaping up! One thing at a time! They’ve already been released. We had a little ceremony and they were happy to hop away! Mama was already home anyway.

lol we released them a couple days later…they were ready. And my anemones are still intact and blooming thankfully! 😀
