Just my 2 cents, if it were ever possible to do this song with the organ and some accompaniments, orchestral, drums, guitar, it would be the most remarkable and captivating song project I can possibly think of. Geez, you can see him bracing at 6:57 for the sheer amount of noise the organ is about to make. I can't even imagine what it's like to be on the recieving end of that chord.
It may actually be the key weight: whether this instrument specifically is, organists who play mechanically-actuated instruments (versus electrically-actuated) actually do have to press harder on the keys as more stops are drawn and the resistance from the wind pressure increases. ... it also looks and feels super cool.
Something that should never be understated about this piece is how beautiful it is. Not just in being good music, but that it does not shy away from making this final confrontation sound immaculate and holy. It sounds like music you would hear in a church, exalting God, and that only adds to the uncomfortable nature of this final fight. Kefka has become God at his point, the heavens are opening and singing his praises. It is a beautiful and terrifying thing to behold and this music captures that perfectly. It would have been easy to just make something sound manic and intimidating like the final part, but it goes full out to show the horrifying glory of what Kefka has turned himself into.

I've listened to this 11x total over time. I keep coming back. Such an inspired performance of the theme for one of the most completely evil characters!
This is, in my opinion, the greatest version of Dancing Mad put to video. The organ, the maestro playing it, the acoustics of St. John's, they all combine to to create a goosebump-inducing rendition of my personal favorite composition from Nobuo Uematsu. Thank you for giving this to us, I love it!
I'm extremely stingy with likes and comments, but man... You absolutely blew me away. Final Fantasy 6 has been, and probably always will be, my favorite RPG of all time. I am both extremely impressed and insanely jealous of the amount of skill that went into this piece. The only people that I can even imagine disliking this are FF7 fanboys that just can't admit that Kefka is better than Sephiroth.
I'm not lying when I say: Kefka approves this cover! Bravo! that was an amazing SOLO performance, I only wish you had 4 arms to play the complete song.
Crazy cool. Even got the multiple camera's going. Crazy. I didn't even know organs had foot pedals that played bass notes like that. I've played guitar for like 15 years and can play a little bit of piano, but organs apparently are some next level shit.
Holy crap! This is amazing! One of my favorites from the entire Final Fantasy series, on a church organ! I am upset with myself for just discovering this now. Absolutely beautiful!
This gave me chills throughout. This has been and probably always will be my favorite boss music in the franchise, and this cover is my favorite version. I had goosebumps for most of it, but when that huge, sinister bunch of notes dropped (fittingly right when Kefka finishes his arrival), my goosebumps got their own goosebumps. Perfection.
thank you for this. respects uematsu rightly alongside other serious composers, and your organist's virtuosity speaks for itself - even a lay viewer sees that this musician speaks with delightful fluency on the instrument.
Dear God... This is just stunning. I absolutely adore the pipe organ, and to hear one of the most iconic battle themes done justice on such a powerful instrument like it was meant for... unf. I am in awe.
I felt that way deeper than I thought I would. I couldn't stop listening; truly an amazing piece performed powerfully. I'm getting it and sharing it with anyone I can. Thank you. I have tears from it.
What's your favorite part of the song? I love the section beginning at 4:51. The way it starts with such a pure, choir-like innocence, and slowly grows darker and darker as Kefka's madness seeps into the song... Absolutely amazing.
Ever notice how true masters of an instrument will move their head or or weave with the music? Its almost as if you’re not playing, but communicating. The instrument an extension of the mind, body and soul. It’s truly a beautiful thing to have the privilege of watching. Thank you.
"Communication" or showbiz? Sometimes, this pretty much condenses to exactly the same thing. True "true masters" are able to precisely control their body during a performance and focus on what they're doing. Nevertheless, I totally agree that Roman's performance was an absolutely stunning one.
@@WoodymC It always felt to me like watching someone who is so familiar with a tool (old stories of swordsmen come to mind) that they use it as if its an extension of their body. In that sense, yeah that fits pretty well in terms of no wasted movement.
Man, imagine sitting inside that church while he was playing this. I would've immediately stopped praying. Heck, the chords at 07:00 would've made me think that Satan just occupied the building, lmao.
kefka isn't really a nihilist, he's a flat out sadist obsessed with destruction. the main theme of the game is love, and its antagonist represents the opposite: hatred. in the final battle kefka has become so powerful that he's close to a god, but he's an all-hating god as opposed to all-loving. he was sort of a satanic figure at first, but then gained power and ascended to godhood.
I'm just.... stunned. That was equally beautiful, impressive, nostalgic and amazing. That he played the entire piece with no sheet music and by the expression on his face and his movements throughout, he was not only playing the music, he was feeling it at the simultaneously.

I’m still amazed that Uematsu created this masterpiece of a song for a game on the SNES. The SNES! I just can’t believed he managed to do that.
This song feels so evil in the best way possible.
It's one of the reasons the game works so well and worth replaying to the end. Love this on the SNES engin and even more here.
This is a weekly listen for me. I'm amazed every time I see/hear it. Thank you guys for doing this.
Yes! I was hoping you would cover this masterpiece. My hopes were not in vain, this was phenomenal! Bravo Grissini Project!
@@grissini huge? I think that's an understatement. Are there bigger, longer, more complex songs out there for the organ?
"Dancing Mad" actually refers to the pianist/organist fingers
Ok
Oh dang!
*P O G*
Dont forget the feet which actually would be dancing as well
And "Dam Gnicnad" is the sound they're going to make when they finally break. (Organist's humor, too.) ;)
This is hands down the most absolute cover of this song on the planet. Congrats man
What an absolute Dancing Madlad. Seriously though this is amazingly done.
The instrument was used to it's full capacity this is PhD. level work.
I just love that you can hear the organ kinda groaning as the great dramatic part of act 4 is played, like even it knows what it’s helping to grace this world with. Such a good piece, just those first few notes gave me proper chills.
I've listened to this 11x total over time. I keep coming back. Such an inspired performance of the theme for one of the most completely evil characters!
At 7:00 - completely bone chilling. I absolutely love this!
Part that starts at 4:55 was our wedding music in church this summer, played on a church organ of course. Was so epic and so is this, bravo!
This is, in my opinion, the greatest version of Dancing Mad put to video. The organ, the maestro playing it, the acoustics of St. John's, they all combine to to create a goosebump-inducing rendition of my personal favorite composition from Nobuo Uematsu.
Thank you for giving this to us, I love it!
think this is the only video of someone actually playing the full length of Dancing mad on the organ.
It can’t be
I'm extremely stingy with likes and comments, but man...
I'm just in awe right now. Why haven't more people watched this? This is just beautiful.

Perfection.
Absolutely love the stained glass windows in the background. Man, European civilization was beautiful when Europeans still believed in something.
C'est pas la première fois que tu m'impressionnes mais là, je suis tout simplement sans voix ! Merci d'exister, c'était incroyable
thank you for this. respects uematsu rightly alongside other serious composers, and your organist's virtuosity speaks for itself - even a lay viewer sees that this musician speaks with delightful fluency on the instrument.

これでFF6の素晴らしさが世界に伝わるぞ♪
Man, imagine this organ performance PLUS the Church choir in the background singing to this!
That would be insane!!
To be Honest this play is INSANE! such amazing performance. GREAT JOB!!
After the end. I wanted to standup from my couch and start to clap in the middle of my living room at 6 am.
Oh my Lord, I could feel my heart STOP at the 7:00 mark.
Marvelous work. I could hear the percussion and brass in my head as you were playing.

That's pretty much what Kafka was, a Satanic Clown.
@@ohmjarukom9907 was he?? He was more like a nihilist, the picture of him is like the blend between an angel and a demon.
@@leonardoflorentin Kefka evolved into the fullest being, one so beyond perfection he could no longer exist. All hail the mad god?
kefka isn't really a nihilist, he's a flat out sadist obsessed with destruction. the main theme of the game is love, and its antagonist represents the opposite: hatred. in the final battle kefka has become so powerful that he's close to a god, but he's an all-hating god as opposed to all-loving. he was sort of a satanic figure at first, but then gained power and ascended to godhood.

Kefka: *_"Been there, done that..."_*
That performance deserved a standing ovation
When you played this, there are no words to express it. I actually cried because this song tells a story and it was so amazing. Thank you for this.
Ah mon gars, j'en ai la chair de poule !
Magistral !
Tiens tiens GBRR !

I'm just.... stunned. That was equally beautiful, impressive, nostalgic and amazing. That he played the entire piece with no sheet music and by the expression on his face and his movements throughout, he was not only playing the music, he was feeling it at the simultaneously.
Kefka Approves...
MOUA-HA-HA-HA
Indeed he does
Ha, ha, ha... Uwe, hee, hee...!
the little run starting at 4:35, leading into the fugue....instant chills.
