Is Pete now the number 1 TH-camr in the uk golf space ? I think so , more relatable, better content , better videos...and you would happily go for a pint with him 😊
I love when you cut away during a competitive round and talk us through why and how you played a certain way on a hole, great addition!! Magic video as always Pete 🙌🏼
I started off watching Pete’s friend Rick S. Watched the pair of them and enjoyed their content! Over the last year and a half I’ve been leaning, watching and enjoying Pete’s content so much more ; better golfer, attitude (Pàdraig H) and no bull! Loving golf ⛳️
Pete, I love to see you mentally even and positive. You are so much better when you are just enjoying the game. Sports psychologist is an awesome idea for you. Keep pushing forward!
Great to see your confidence and self talk growing Peter, ball striking looked superb on the little screen. Must be the influence of Padraig the Jedi and all that golf in Ireland. 😊
I was a member there when I was at uni. One of few places with free practice facilities. Very rare these days. Very good scoring in this comp. Good depth too. Level par for 29th. Tough school. Well done Pete.
Remote control trolley?? People in East Lancs think ur a knob if you've got one😂😂 fantastic content, btw. Loving the beat the pro series. Something different and very entertaining.
Said it for a good while now that Petes channel is the best on you tube, his content, his team behind the scenes are second to none. However i said it previously ever since you changed to that putter i feel you've lost many a good chance and it showed over the 2 rounds, im sure you used to use a oddessey 2 ball that you were on fire with. Love watching and please keep them coming Pete ⛳️🏌🏻♂️👍👏
Played here at didsbury not long after this comp. Great watch to see a pro like Pete there. Great content again. We found greens was really slow aswel. Really nice course though would definitely play it again. Love my lab putter has helped me drop 4-5 putts less per round.
Suckered pin on the 11th, never go for the sucker pins, tough course conditions, tough greens that weren't conducive to attacking shots, just to soft, well done to get another comp under your belt, certainly given you plenty to work on over winter, I have no doubt that you will go into next year with a determined focus. 💪🏼
Another superb video as usual Pete - just open and honest sharing of your journey. Thanks again to you and your team. If there is anyone out there reading this and you haven't done already, smash that like button and subscribe to the best TH-cam golf content creator bar none!
Pete, your still the main man on the tube, and u and your team have shown some great vid's this year.U don't need to see a sports psychologist, it's all about individual mindset, believe me I know.Take a well deserved break, clear ya mind, come back strong.👍
Hey Pete, you have a beautiful rhythm and tempo in your swing, including pitching and chipping. Your putting, however, looks a little wooden, although watching on a TV may be quite misleading. I had a putting lesson yesterday and I was doing a similar swing to you. He got me to put fractionly more on an arc, huge improvement, especially with the mallet type putters. I live in Melbourne and most of our sand belt greens, especially my home course are like putting on glass. Great content by the way, enjoy the personality and golf content you deliver. When are you coming to Australia?
A player at the PGA tour told me during the Pro-Am that how much you plan and do strategy of the course have no importance if you don't hit the ball well. We had a few beer at the hotel bar later and he said, and if I drink more than five beers... all planning and strategy is gone before the first tee. We had 8 beers..
I think it's a great idea to engage a sports psychologist, Peter. Your physical game is so good; perhaps tinkering under the hood will get you to those breakthrough rounds you're looking for. PS-you do get tired, so why don't you pack energy snacks and drinks for when it happens?
Pete’s swing had a better flow when he pre lifted the club from back in the day. His back swing was completed with more balance. This I felt made his swing and follow through just silky smooth and intentional.
I think Rick and Matt should play in a few of the comps be even that little bit better. Keep it up Peter love watching the videos and shows we all can move on and get better just have to get out of our heads .
Should do a cheers counter 😂 I also switched recently to left hand low made a big difference even though it still feels way more comfortable conventional lol
May I recommend a new putter? I think that Wilson Infinite Bucktown will suit you and decrease your number of putts. I notice that you often putt a bit to long with the LAB putter and miss the breaks.
Your swing is picture perfect, off the tee incredible, approach play excellent, chipping superb, putting is clearly where you are having a problem, but not a big problem, I did notice in the video your putter in set up is toe down, worth maybe checking. Great video as usual, love the content, keep up the good golf
No, mate, that’s actually one of his strengths. The real issue lies in his approach shots. He needs to be far more aggressive-trusting himself to really go for the pin when the opportunity arises. Additionally, his decision-making when he’s in trouble could use some refinement. He rarely “takes his medicine” and plays safe. Just because he’s capable of pulling off a risky shot doesn’t mean he should always go for it. Finding that balance-being bold when the odds are in his favour and playing the percentages when they’re not-is, in my view, his biggest challenge. That said, I think this was a solid round overall. He scrambled brilliantly after a few questionable decisions, kept his composure for the most part, and looks like he’s in a good place mentally right now.
Said it before say it again, sweary Pete = optimum relatable Pete. (Apart from the 350yard drives) Thoughts on the Lab putter for distance control? I’ve got a mezz I love it but that’s my one criticism. Expecting an odyssey equivalent with a softer insert to hit the market at some point
Pete, your golf is solid…if anything I think you might get inside your head a bit too much. Even when it happens, the content you make still is heads and shoulders above your “real” competitors. I believe with the right caddy to spark off the golf would follow. Keep going bud, best golfer on YT !
Apart from that par 3, it didn't look like you did a lot wrong, quite a few putts just slid by. I suspect most of us watching would be delighted to have your game but it just goes to show the gaps between the different levels of golfer
How can I make this about me? Well, I'm the first to respond, never happened to me before on YT. By the way, love your content Peter, not just the technical guidance that sets a non realistical benchmark for an average golfer like me, but also your great sense of humour.
Speaking as someone who plays cackhanded to single figures, with my putting I don't lift the club back vertically when I putt, I keep it parallel to the ground.. might help!
Putting killed you in this round. You aren't off by much, just the lines are a bit off. Halfway through when I write this so interested to see how the second round goes.
I realize you CAN hit a 50 Wedge 138 yds in cold weather over the wind, but wouldn't choking down 2" on a 9i and giving it 70% and playing under the wind be better?
Is Pete now the number 1 TH-camr in the uk golf space ? I think so , more relatable, better content , better videos...and you would happily go for a pint with him 😊
Your’e buying
@peterfinchgolf when you're in Leicester ever be happy to buy you a beverage of your choice up to the value of 6.99
Yes
Hands down. Humble, honest and proper golf.
Would 100% buy the for the night if he ever came to Iowa! Which is ridiculously unlikely...
As an American I love watching your content. No games or bs, just pure golf!
Its legitmately the best proper golf content on youtube right now.
You and the team are absolutely taking over.
Very nice of you to say but we’ve a long way to go yet
@@peterfinchgolf I'm not so sure. Pure content wise you're miles Infront of rick, or really anyone else.
I'd agree, it's a scandal your followers aren't higher Peter
I love when you cut away during a competitive round and talk us through why and how you played a certain way on a hole, great addition!! Magic video as always Pete 🙌🏼
I appreciate that!
Respect to Pete for allowing his game to be properly scrutinised, unlike the majority of TH-cam golfers
I cannot express in words how much I love your swing.
Respect to you. For your game and for your character. Cheers!
Wow, thank you!
I started off watching Pete’s friend Rick S. Watched the pair of them and enjoyed their content!

Very much enjoy watching Peter's videos. Testing himself against fellow pros, much more interesting than some of the content other youtubers offer.
Absolutely love these comp videos, hope they return next year!
Great to see your confidence and self talk growing Peter, ball striking looked superb on the little screen. Must be the influence of Padraig the Jedi and all that golf in Ireland. 😊

Like a psychopath that doesnt get caught.....my new way to describe my golf rage thank you sir 😅
Bye far best channel on you tube and possibly the most fluent golf swing keep up with your goals
As much as I love seeing you do well, good to see you making the same mistakes I do every week at Didsbury. Makes me feel a little better.

loved it to hear you are working with a sports psychologist, loving this content, looking forward to the new year and see what progress looks like!
The best golf content on TH-cam. Keep up the good work Pete and team.
Would love to see Pete get involved with Decade golf. Would be a really interesting series on course management.
By far the best content and enjoyment factor golf on youtube.👍👍
Played here at didsbury not long after this comp. Great watch to see a pro like Pete there.
Great content again. We found greens was really slow aswel. Really nice course though would definitely play it again.
Love my lab putter has helped me drop 4-5 putts less per round.
Mr Finch, if you want to improve your golf mind get Joe Dean on the channel!!

Good to see and hear the trials and tribulations that you go through. Gives you a heads up to our games.
Good video. J
Great golf Pete! Always enjoy the games and you help my game a lot👍
Not played Didsbury in years, used to be a member only being 5 minutes away. Good to see you play a round there. Great video as always 👌🏻
Got to say Stewart looks rather cool! Who'd have thought, Peter and Stewie golfing!
Best TH-cam golfer out there, always brilliant content.
cant wait to hear about the new event. This really makes me want to grind it out and get my teaching card

"How many 'cheers' were uttered this round, Peter?" is like when reporters used to ask Tiger, "How many club twirls did you have today?"
Great effort Pete👍
I'm playing Didsbury this Sunday, I hope it's still in good condition. We're not off the tips but it's still a tough track.

Hey Pete, I'm glad that you've met Stewart, I think if you can teach him to drink alcohol and watch adult movies you'll be onto a real winner
I watched for what seems for ever, pre beard and with glasses. Right now all i want is Peter v Rick. Simple !!! Or is Rick hiding ?? 😂
10th place in the final standings catches the eye with a bounce back 61 after 74 on day 1.

Great video Peter, look forward to the next video.

Great Video Pete, Excellent content love it 👌🏌♂⛳
Cheers, cheers, cheers mate, cheers, cheers, cheers mate. Rinse and repeat 😉🤣
Should do a cheers counter 😂 I also switched recently to left hand low made a big difference even though it still feels way more comfortable conventional lol
I noticed it more this time round 😂 cheers
Left hand low putting Pete has been watching Wesley too much!!! 😂

top notch old boy , splendid work
Great video great 2 rounds
If only Pete could make some short birdie putts. Always makes the ones for par
I like these 2 round in one video.
Intro is exciting!!!
Rip City Nevada! Love it Finchy 🏌️♂️
Said it before say it again, sweary Pete = optimum relatable Pete. (Apart from the 350yard drives)
Thoughts on the Lab putter for distance control? I’ve got a mezz I love it but that’s my one criticism. Expecting an odyssey equivalent with a softer insert to hit the market at some point
Your ball striking sounds SO F'n crisp! Why can't I do that!!??
Oh. I'm 70+, maybe thats why.
Pete, your golf is solid…if anything I think you might get inside your head a bit too much. Even when it happens, the content you make still is heads and shoulders above your “real” competitors.
I believe with the right caddy to spark off the golf would follow. Keep going bud, best golfer on YT !
Can I have that putter when you get bored of it please 😂
Pete I got it figured out…..all you have to do is hit it straight and one putt everything
I've gone from team Shiels to loving Team Finch !
Pete can I ask why you’ve changed your putting grip? Your putting has always been solid in my opinion
Time for that LAB putter to go. Only thing holding you back from going low.
Great video. . Keep it up

Thank you, I think 😂
@peterfinchgolf is it me or does it look like your putter it to flat of a lie angle?
I see you went with the TP5 Stripe I like the way it looks havent got a chance to try it out myself how does it play?
Great joining you on this but the putting is letting you down. Have you ever seen a straight putt? Keep the great content coming.
I could be way off but…not sure I’ve noticed the LAB wand having any positive impact on your game. Bring back the Mizuno or Odyssey
Bring the Edel out of retirement!!!!!
Quite possibly but I struggle to relate to his distance being a average 14hc & 65yrs old😂
Speaking as someone who plays cackhanded to single figures, with my putting I don't lift the club back vertically when I putt, I keep it parallel to the ground.. might help!
I'll caddy for you Pete 😀
Nice eagle 🦅 👍
Nobody -
Peter - "chairs mate"
Top work
Why thank you
This may be a bit of a stupid question, but can could you carry 2 putters, one for distance and the lab for short ones.🥰
Do you know if you'll be entering the Leeds cup again next year?
how wet was the golf course? as an ex member that left due to green quality what was it like
Putting killed you in this round. You aren't off by much, just the lines are a bit off. Halfway through when I write this so interested to see how the second round goes.
I’m 20 mins in Pete and wondering if you’re going in.
Hello Pete from Ireland 🇮🇪
Everyone knows. If an irish person is successful in anything. That makes them british
Ohh my bad i see what ur saying. Miss understood that 1. Im slow
Brisk walk from West Didsbury that
I realize you CAN hit a 50 Wedge 138 yds in cold weather over the wind, but wouldn't choking down 2" on a 9i and giving it 70% and playing under the wind be better?
Pete do you provide online lessons?
I don’t really think you have any mental problems. But if you did then seeing a certain Mr Qureshi would be my tip 😊
Pete's, is there some way you can get yourself angry before you play. Noticed a pattern of better golf when you are really pissed
you go to a gym? joking, love your swing.
Links?🤔😜😀
Get rid of that branding iron you have as a putter
Finch
United or city 😊
❤❤
Why couldn't you play your 1st ball on the par 3 pete isn't you second ball a provisional?
Didn’t find it within 3 minutes. 2nd ball was playing 3 off the tee as first ball was lost
cant you set the ads so they dont occur halfway through a shot? - really spoils the moment
As far as I'm aware, they have no control of adverts at all. Everything TH-cam is algorithms
Nothing against Stewart but You do know a caddie does more than just carry your bag?
Didn’t Stewart tell you not to play impossible shots around trees. Get a speaking caddy.
You talk quite a lot about what you’re not good at.. how about an episode on your improvement plan for 2025?
