It's funny how in the game description on xbox it says "Violence" 😂 I guess it' cause of the fighting. Another thing is market pricing,in Europe it always costs more where it's less servers and less players. Deluxe edition is ~110eur which is ~167 CAD.
For myself personally because the next deep dive is gameplay, it would have to be something really significant for me to be like oh yeah for sure I think realistically playing the 10 hour trial and finding out for yourself because that’s gonna be the full product is the best way to decide I think the one thing is not talked about is defence and how hard it is and with the mechanics of the game being with the arts even harder, I think until that gets ‘more balanced playing defence it won’t be worth buying/pre ordering
STOP funding EA Sports with HUT Packs. Streamers have ruined the community by doing this. It has been years since they have made any improvements to game modes besides HUT, EASHL and WOC. Gotta feel for the Offline Community. All we want is GM Connected, Franchise Mode, and Be A Pro to be brought back or improved. EA Sports listens to 1 group of people and its unacceptable after 10yrs.
In Sweden the base edition is 88 USD and the deluxe edition is 108 USD (with the 10% you save from owning the previous game). I remember being able to pick up NHL 20 or something for like 50-60 USD a week after launch.
I think you undervalue the 7 days early access. In this 1 week alot could be done, depending on which events are already in and maybe only available for this week. Auction could go creazy as well, because the ration between buyers how wants to get everything as fast as possible and supply will be at best for sellers i guess.
This game needs line changes. To either change a selected build or a Stam gain. Sticks need to be solid objects. Check n shoot need to not be the same button. Right stick should always be stick control. Example. Opponent passes to opponent. You push up or whatever direction the puck is at to intercept. Goalies …just fix goalies. HUT is a money grab. But the potential behind 12 player in house tournaments is huge.
I am in between of opinion for 7 days early for the expensive version. On the otherhand those that buy it, should really get something worth the price difference. On the other hand, i want the expensive version, battlepass and mt off from sports gaming all together. I dont recommend anyone preordering until you test the game out on EA play.
I’m someone who put money on packs and found HUT boring after 3 months… this year I Go Free2Play because seeing you do it looks a lot more fun!! So Hype for this one

If you have a career, a family, other video games you like to play, hobbies and anything else... you just aren't going to be able to keep up against those who aren't FTP OR those who have nearly unlimited hours to dedicate to grinding. Can you still have fun? Of course! But set your expectations to very low because you will usually be going up against teams who are filled with much better players than yours and if you find anybody around your skill level or better and they have much better players... you already know what the result will be the majority of the time.

And the last countless years almost all copy paste. This year it is crickets. I have serious concern they are afraid to show anyone anything incase it refrains them from buying at all at this point.

its useful only if you play HUT and use those extras. if you just play a game here and there from time to time its not worth it. i only play local exhibition games with my friend from time to time and sometimes a online game thats about it so i dont need the extras.
I need more new on NHL25 - NHL 24 is first NHL game i quit playing before new years :( I am hoping for less arcady vibes this year. I always was confused how they let us edit all the things we want but yet cant turn off "full preasure mode" in NHL24 - playing so much hockey RL - how many times does a team get preasured then goes down to the other end and team scores, there was no reward for being full presured but like exiting the zone.. plus not everyone potatos under preasure lol
The 99-overall player is a reward for pre-ordering but you get the 99-overall player for NHL 24, so no worries, we will not have 99's skating around NHL 25 early on.

I wish EA would do something for us offline players. NHL 10 I remember I got a card in my game that gave me access to a Patrick Kane stick, Patrick Kane gloves and helmet for my be a pro player. Why not do something like that now.
I decided that I was going to give myself a Christmas gift early. So I went ahead and said f it. I love hockey and I will get it. My original nhl EA branded game was the 2000 pc version. I was able to play through the entire season only losing 3 games. This is because they had a true top down camera angle. Made it much easier to control with a keyboard and mouse. I purchased 24 and enjoyed a good amount of a season since it was around January and got it at a decent discount. My problem is. This is a multi national sport that makes more money internationally combined than the NFL. If ea put as much into this sport that they did for nfl 25 they would increase the user base of the game and margin X 100. But because they are limiting their budget and shoveling the same game year after year. It’s not going to sell like nfl or ncaa football. I got the nba 2024 for free as it was at the end of the nba season. I was definitely disappointed with the game. EA sports need to have a meeting and consider what’s happening with the way they make their games. Because this will be the last ea game I get until they realize if they put more money into development (especially the graphics and shader development). They have the equipment to render a 100 million poly model in about 2 minutes with full textures and texture mapping on a full team in a fully rendered arena.
They’re eventually introducing paid battle pass into HUT aren’t they? $130 + $10/mo (or whatever) just to play HUT. That’s probably why they combined the SB/Rival/Champs into one XP Path
If I have to get 5000 hits 2000 goals and 1000 stick lifts with crappy cards to complete objectives then I'm not getting the game. I can't do all that again. Give me dynamic interesting objectives and I'll buy it.

And I thought my 793 hrs of HUT was a lot! Also love meeting the daily pack objective of 250. Meaning I’ve played HUT 24 over 250 days!
