  • eBay is a wonderful site, and I recently found someone selling a massive box of 18 untested graphics cards. So I bought the box for £21, but do any of these untested, cheap, old, and run down graphics cards work? Probably not.
Maybe buy a working Graphics Card? and Support RMDTECH...

So, we have CEX (which BTW, some pronounce it as "sex"), as well as one of very few Microcenter walk-in stores in the country. There are a few privately owned Radioshacks still around too but most locations have closed. I live within about 40 minutes of at least 7 Best Buys lol. @@Toastmaster_5000 Yeah. I had a college buddy from Boston. Now, I've been to places where literally anything is at your disposal from a few blocks away inside a city. It always made me lost cause the 'concert jungle' is no joke. I ended up in hundreds of books and crannies where I always said, "Ok. Could I just climb up this building with the steps and ladders outside this building and actually see where I'm going?"
Yet, I'm kinda from the woods. I remember when my buddy was like, "Could I visit your place?". I said sure, but after driving down our straight road for 25 minutes he Saud, "Where are we and how are we gonna walk back?" So, I understand where your from. Like people out here don't even know that much about computers too much. Hehe, even my father today said, "Turn off that Nintendo console and help me outside." when he was mentioning the computer I use XD

@@amightygrizzly Luckily for me, I live just outside of Boston, which isn't so annoyingly dense, and I work just south of the New Hampshire border, where there's a lot of forest and marshland. Despite being a tech enthusiast, hiking, biking, and kayaking are some of my favorite hobbies, so, I'm more of a woodsy type who lives in a relatively dense city.
Something I always say to people from the south and southern midwest is New Hampshire or northern Maine and will feel like home, from a parallel universe. Same sort of people, lots of the same types of stores, similar culture (minus politics), but the landscape and climate are _very_ different.
Alabama might not have much in the way of tech, but hey, at least you guys have NASA, and much more affordable living standards.

Must have passive cooled it, but replacing the fan would be a issue as it's a old card and finding fans for old GPUs are a pain. The 5850 is a awesome card shame his card didn't come with a fan

if you have not already gotten a proper answer that LSI Logic card is a SCSI controller from about 2006. It's not really very valuable to anybody who does not need it as a replacement for one that has died in some old legacy server that is still running after more than a decade. Link: is.gd/Cn6CxP

The old red graphics card is probably too old to run Windows 10 properly, and there probably aren't any drivers for Windows 10. You'd need an older operating system - like XP or 7 - or modded drivers - to work out what the GPU is and if you can get it to POST.

I'll agree with everyone else, don't sell them to cex, you'll get more selling them on eBay. you can still test half hight gpu by removing the backplate, it's a bit janky but it works. Also older ati/amd cards have driver issues with windows 10 try using Windows 7

Selling the cards on eBay will not yield the amount you're saying because there are seller fees (12.8% + 30p per item) as well as postage fees. You also have to consider whether they are using the "promoted listings" (pay a portion of the sale price as an ad fee), and you have to factor in whether the other sellers are selling it with free shipping or not.
Generally, a sale of £5 or less, with shipping included, will not yield very much at all. Hence why the person decided to sell the GPUs in a job lot as they'd get more that way!

You mix profit with revenue, which is not same
Revenue is all money you get for something
Profit is what you have after you take all your costs from revenue
