I feel like that’s something no responsible parent should do. She made the right choice to leave him but if she knew what her husband was capable of, she should have taken him out that abusive home and found him another safe place to stay until she found a job.

The idea that tattoos are a symbol of the devil is a cliche in society, but in my opinion, tattoos can also be a statement of strength, bravery, and coolness. I have nothing against religions, but this is illogical. Everyone has their own beliefs, so I can't condemn anyone for them.
A doctor once tried to shame me Infront of all the nurses for having 2 tattoos, "Courage and Honor" , gotten while serving in the military. Later that year, she actually became my patient. I gave her the best care like I did all my patients. She came back later and apologized. It didn't matter to me. I knew my tatts showed my true character.

My grandparents used to hate my father because he had a lot of tattoos before I was born, they used to tell my mother to break up with him and that he's just a bad influence. But when my mum became pregnant with me, her high school best friends told her he was in a huge fire (he's a firefighter, went to school w my mum and my mother forgot about him after awhile) trying to say his friend from dieing, but before he caught him he was already dead and my father had burn scars all over his chest, arms and lower body parts. He had to cover it up with tattoos. And when my grandparents found out, they were in huge shock

He answered the call asap, changed his clothes and went directly to the surgery block. He found the boy’s father pacing in the hall waiting for the doctor. On seeing him, the father yelled, “Why did you take all this time to come? Don’t you know that my son’s life is in danger? Don’t you have any sense of responsibility?” The doctor smiled and said, “I am sorry, I wasn’t in the hospital and I came as fast as I could after receiving the call and now, I wish you’d calm down so that I can do my work”. “Calm down?! What if your son was in this room right now, would you calm down? If your own son dies while waiting for doctor than what will you do??” said the father angrily. The doctor smiled again and replied, “We will do our best by God’s grace and you should also pray for your son’s healthy life”. “Giving advises when we’re not concerned is so easy” Murmured the father. The surgery took some hours after which the doctor went out happy, “Thank goodness! your son is saved!” And without waiting for the father’s reply he carried on his way running by saying, “If you have any questions, ask the nurse”. “Why is he so arrogant? He couldn’t wait some minutes so that I ask about my son’s state” Commented the father when seeing the nurse minutes after the doctor left. The nurse answered, tears coming down her face, “His son died yesterday in a road accident, he was at the burial when we called him for your son’s surgery. And now that he saved your son’s life, he left running to finish his son’s burial.” Moral: Never judge anyone because you never know how their life is and what they’re going through

I unfortunately suffered the same treatment when I first moved to Finland a month ago. An Inuk moving to Finland is somewhat unheard of. However as time went on, some people were very supportive of me and liked my tattoos especially when I finally got my place in the Lapland region. People here seem to like them. Tattoos are part of my culture and most fellow Inuit have them. It's unfortunate that some people judge before they even crack open the book. Thank you for spreading awareness about this kind of stuff!
