Ebony thought she could get away with it and later should be ashamed of herself and should've thought about it better than that or worst, no one can hire her when she is very rude. A better ending would have been to have the mom still telling the daughter that the African American woman was rude to her but that she wants to give her a chance to help and then her daughter tell the rude nurse this and she apologizes and accepts their offer. You don't always have to show people "getting what they deserve". Sometimes it is good to show forgiveness even if it isn't deserved.
