Thanks for the video. After two portable washer (Haier HLP23E) broken in 9 months, I decide to switch to Danby. This Danby washer looks much like the portable one (Kenmore from Sears) I brought on 2004. That Kenmore machine has very good quality and it worked 7 years for us. I should not sell it in moving sale since I can't find the same model in Sears these days.
Haier HLP23E washer won't last long. Neither of the two new Haier washers worked longer than 5 months. Haier is just a joke!

I have the exact same washer and it works great! And for a portable washer, it really does fit a good amount of stuff.

Thanks for the demo of the Danby washer. I was looking to buy a portable machine and stores don't do demos on these, so being able to see one in action was great. I didn't end up buying this machine (I went with a Haier as they don't have an agitator in the centre and i prefer push buttons to dials), but this was really helpful. I'll let others know to check out your video if wanting to buy this machine.

Yes, it handles jeans just fine; towels too. The only thing I need to do in the 'mat is the bedspread. :-)

I have a 2013 model Danby, and they do have push buttons now. They don't make that clicking sound either (timer?). Works a treat.

Do the newer models have wheels? Is yours easy to move. I would need to take it out of a closet and roll it into my kitchen, not a far distance but it can be if you can't move it around easily. Also, is your machine quiet? I am torn between this one and the smaller haier model. Although I have a family of 4, I would take a smaller unit since I need something on wheels and that I can move around. thanks... ;)

They have castors, but they don't swivel. So you can roll it straight forward and back. I bought a pair of "appliance rollers," which you can get at the hardware store.

Jackie Elias One other thing: the faucet connecter Danby provided wasn't quite the right size for my faucet. I took the connector plus the tip of my kitchen faucet (very important) to a plumbing supply store and bought the other connector. And like this guy, I drape a washcloth over it when it's working.

Its funny I had this same washer and it used to stay washing if you opened the lid . It would stop if you opened it while spinning. It was a Great washer ! I only had one repair done to it in 3 years. The water level valve

during the spin cycle the drain pump sounds like the drain pump on a whirlpool 5,000 series washer

I was recently given this exact washer, and it still runs great! However, a ton of lint, gunk, and mildew is coming up after each cleaning cycle. Does this model have a filter on it that needs to be cleaned? It smells awful in there too and I can't get rid of the smell no matter what I clean it with. Waiting on Danby support to reach me.

I have one of these and need to replace the hose that goes into the sink and expels water. Any suggestions where to find one? Thanks!

I so wish someone would show how to hook this up to the faucet so that the water actually gets to the wash tub, instead of everywhere else. I have yet to use mine and my dirty clothes are really piling up.

You only put one item in there? what a waste of washing. At least you could have showed us if this machine can take heavy loads or something.
