- Hello! I thought it was time for another vlog from my work as a truck driver :)
Here I am driving in Östergötland and Södermanland, making deliveries and pick-ups. And the ending is extra pretty!

I remember when I was a kid travelling up from my Uncles place in Perthshire Scotland, my Dad wakening me up to see the Northern lights as he drove slowly through the glens and over the mountain pass he had to traverse and it was magical but as he explained to me at the time, it was a sad affair as they represented the spirits in the skies looking for the entrance to Heaven. And that has always stuck with me, even though I know now at 70 years of age its the Magnetic Stream in the higher layers that protect our fragile existence here on Earth. Cheers Cassie.

I'm always amazed by how you can reverse in a straight line with 2 trailers as it seems you have to constantly zig-zag with your truck, well done! In similar situations in ATS/ETS2 I just skip the delivery lol

I find it a bit weird personally to be watching a channel like this (just because it’s not an area of interest or work for me, and I should be doing a better job at managing my time 😬), but I just can’t help it. You’ve got such a positive attitude and personality, and seem to just ooze such good vibes all the time (or most of it), turning your content into something I somehow find very special… 😊 No weirdness, just chill - and with all the crap today it nice to see someone enjoying what they do, and even more sharing it with others!!

My energy dip was about 10.00 a.m. After being out half the night I could hardly keep my eyes open but the bark out of my Commer 2 stroke TS3 would never let me nod off or listen to music. The 60's eh, we were hard then and maybe a bit of Randy Newman sometime, for the more discerning truck driver. LOL. Thanks for the video, top drawer reversing .

I cassie keep taking the pain killers so you can keep enjoying life to the full. You are awesome you make it look so easy. Philip as got is class two test this week. Hgv class one philip having trouble reversing so I had to go for class two instead of class one. But I am going to book some more lessons for reversing and hopefully go for my heavy goods licence. Bonjour from Quebec,Canada. Thank you somuch for sharing this part of your life , you are such a good driver, as myself \i drove truck before retirement, i know. As for the loading anunloading i know its a chore but you european and Scandinavian are defenitely more in shape partly due to the fact that you are working.and not staying on your but all day long, Keep on trucking your way.

The delivery of materials to construction sites in the city is the major problem. In major French cities, they reserve a lane reserved for delivery. The track is one-way and it is the construction crane that unloads the trucks. Unfortunately the traffic on the boulevards is very difficult. More and more truckers no longer take care of loading or vice versa, in France. Logistics technicians do it. It is the insurance companies that demand it. The windshield was actually replaced on this truck recently 😄 I hate how much gravel that flings up from tires this time of the year :(

@@TruckerCassie Hey Cassie, thanks for the reply. I noticed it a lot with trucks you drive and the same with Angelica Larsson. You guys obviously use a lot of sand and gravel on roads with snow. It’s bad here in New York some winters too. Except this year in the NY city area we had almost zero snow. Other parts of the country have not been so lucky.

"It's not my first time doing this!" 👍 Thank you for the Northern Lights clip. Last time I saw these was in 1972 when the ship I was on was above the Arctic Circle. Not as good a display as this, if my memory serves me well.

In the USA we do not load or unload trucks. Sometimes we go and pick up a trailer that has been preloaded already and leave an empty at the shipper. Shoutout from New York!

Yes, even in the Netherlands, it had been visible (Northern Lights), but only for the northern islands. I want to see it myself, but I have to wait 1 or 2 years. Next year, I will visit Norway (sorry) for the first time, and hopefully in 2024, I will travel again in winter, to see Northern Lights. Thanks again for your report on your daily work. When you pick up more loads in one day, you have to think, in which order you have to load. Anyway, take care, Cassie. See you next time.

Aurora Australis (Southern Lights) have been very active recently as well, and unusually close to the southern tip of NZ. A real spectacle
I’ve always wanted to see the northern lights. It happens sometimes that you can see them as far south as where I live on the north coast of Kent England. If its clear you can see for miles right up the North Sea. I went out to see if I could see them but it was usuall if there is something special going on! Wall to wall cloud so gave up at four in the morning! So guess its still a trip to Norway? Brilliant video as always, thanks Cassie!

I'm really sorry because I was only able to watch it now. So I belatedly saw the usual high-quality, experience-rich vlog.
I'm just worried about your headache and fatigue. At the beginning, when you said you were feeling better, I was already happy, you are fine, and I thought that until now it was just the accumulation of restrained tension, but towards the end of the day, the fatigue started to worry me again. Things started the same way for me, I didn't deal with it and at the end, ko. I am very confident that it is only caused by some hidden bacillus or virus. It would really be good if you visit a doctor, but not a phone doctor.
Forgive me for worrying, but I watch your videos because they are good, I like the way you do your job and everything else because I love Trucker Cassie.
Regardless, there weren't many signs of your fatigue. Those lights are awesome. I saw it a while ago in a video near the Arctic Circle, cut to music, it was a fantastic sight.
Take good care of yourself and relax this weekend.

Hi, Headaches a problem for me too, it's high blood pressure my problem at times, but not all the time, tablets for my blood pressure fix the problem for me. Love the vids, Keep smiling and laughing, it helps you feel better.

I always enjoy your trucking vlogs as it is interesting to see how different it is, and the cities you go to. It is rather rare over here in the US that the driver loads or unloads their trailer as most of the time drivers who pull enclosed trailers just drop the loaded or empty trailer, then hook up to a different trailer, get the paperwork and head out.
The aurora are beautiful, someday I'll see them in person.

The northern lights were visible from the uk aswell where I am, but I did t know anything about it 😢 until the next day, otherwise I’d of gone out either got a few pics or a VT of it 😢😢 as it’s extremely rear to see them in the uk.

Here in the UK, the drivers, at least where I've worked and places I've heard about,. The drivers just drop off the trailer and wait in the canteen or go off and do something somewhere else, and there are dedicated despatch workers who unload the trailers and load the new stuff in. Usually get 10-30 mins to do this. Sometimes there two of you but usually just one person to do this. So all the drivers do is drive and pick up paperwork. Not sure whether the drivers can use the forklift trucks, probably, but for some reason they are not allowed to use them or do any work inside the factory/warehouse.

Another great one Cassie, always love watching your vids, most drivers here in the UK don't unload their own trucks and they can waste hours waiting to get unloaded. Doesn't make sense really.🤔😊👍
Jag klarar inte heller av så mycket mer än en arbetsdag. :/ Förr kunde jag både arbeta och göra saker privat efter jobbet men det var typ innan jag fyllde 30. Nu när man snart blir 40 så får man försöka göra saker när orken finns. Man blir lite avundsjuk på folk som orkar med att vara aktiva hela dagarna.

Japan also has a place to unload and load by itself. There are also places where you have to sort. It's a service and no money is generated.

Well, thats the difference between an "over the road" driver in the US, and those of us that worked our butts off driving, loading, unloading, hooking,etc. in the LTL part of trucking. As well as many other more labor intensive parts of the industry. Retired after 38 yrs.

Hi Cassie, most companies I know do the unloading them selves. Drivers are often not happy when they arrive during coffee break 😅
