      I agree with this guy, quick question. Does this conversion thing work on hayabusa levers too? I was thinking i was gonna buy a hori alpha and mod it with a korean stick but idk if the conversion cable works on hayabusa levers, do you know?@@JoystickNY

    The Korean lever you're using here looks very similar to Seimitsu sticks since it also has a metal plate that pushes the button instead of the actuator. Very interesting. Do Korean levers have an advantage or preference to certain games over Japanese sticks likes Sanwa and Seimitsu? I'm not planning on getting one, I'm just genuinely curious since a lot of people seem to want this kind of stick.

    • @JoystickNY
      @JoystickNY  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Great question, the way that Koreans sticks are designed, they are better for games with heavy directional inputs, such as tekken, soul calibur, dead or alive type games, korean uses a rubber inside instead of the traditional spring, it somehow works really well for those games, where as spring levers seems to work better for circular input games like quarter circle, half circle fireball shoryuken type games, i will go in to korean parts in the future 🙏❤️

    Great video! I wanna ask u, for a Nintendo switch, which arcade stick do u recommend?

    • @JoystickNY
      @JoystickNY  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Alejandro Valdez Hernandez i dont really use a stick on a switch, and i personally dont think there is a need for a switch if you play smash, older street fighter versions on there, the only game that i can think of that can be useful would he dragon ball fighter z. If you really want a stick for switch, i would recommend just getting an adaptor for your current stick or get a mayflash f300, its only 50$ and you can also use it for the ps or xbox or pc and more. You can also mod it with good parts in the future and make it in to a solid stick

      @JoystickNY  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Alejandro Valdez Hernandez if you want the hori mini for games like animal crossing, and zelda or adventure games it would okay, but for fighting game, i will recommend something better 😊

    • @jacebeleren1703
      @jacebeleren1703 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@alejandrovaldezhernandez6157 The mini isn't a good idea for fighting games, tbh, not good enough quality.
      Also, possibly the best quality and well-constructed arcade stick for the Switch, is the Hori RAP V Hayabusa Switch. It's about 150$ , so not cheap, but it comes with good Hayabusa parts, is full-size with a lot of room and very comfortable.
      I got it because i only own a Nintendo Switch and a PC, so i wanted to get the best stick for the Switch that i could.
      If you have an arcade stick of similar quality already, then just buy an adapter like the Mayflash magic NS. If you re like me and Switch is your only console (maybe also PC) then i highly recommend this arcade stick.

    The colour wires don't always correspond to the correct direction, just make you have the up wire to the up switch and so on. Don't use the chart in the video as gospel. It is based on how the wire comes out of the PCB control board. The only wire that is correct in the video is the ground wire.

    I'm very new to the fight stick modification scene and I happened to stumble across your channel. Love your simple explanations and guides! Subbed!
    I purchased a Hori RAP V Silent from Japan a few years ago and I never actually really used it due to the square gate giving me grief when playing Tekken 7. I've always wanted to try swap out the restrictor gate, then soon realised that there is no real modification option for the lever that is used in the RAP V silent (JP). Instead I will have to go down the joystick replacement route. Are there any recommendations for websites to purchase these parts? I'm in Australia and I couldn't really find anything local 😅

    Hi, just a quick question, but do you think it is okay to get a stick right now even though the ps5 isn’t out? I play on pc and do not plan on buying the ps5. Or do you think waiting for the next gen fightsticks is better for my pc somehow?

    • @JoystickNY
      @JoystickNY  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Terrarian i usually tell people to wait, but in your situation, i think u can buy it now, because pc will always work, unlike ps4 controller may not work on the ps5, and i doubt any big games are coming out for ps5 anytime soon, sf6 and tekken 8 is not gonna come out at least 1-2 yrs maybe longer; and 3 big fighting game coming out this year for the ps4, so ps4 is gonna be good for 2 years. So you look now basically; or wait for a sale if u want a better deal. And i dont think any new gen stick will make much difference. Its mostly gonna be repackage casing with the same old parts , making a stick is very easy for those companies, unlike phones where they advertise like this is going to be a new next gen chip, improve this and that, they never talk about the internals much

      @JoystickNY  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Terrarian i think very likely, if not it will be a dead game, same for gran blue fantasy versus, king of fighter 15, that comes up this year, sony pretty much dont have a choice, if these games are not going to be crossplay, i dont think these companies will choose to release their game at the every end of the ps4 cycle, 3 big fighting games, so mostly yes
