The cool thing about this video is that you can also extrapolate this information to build your hitbox as well. This video was a great help, thanks man.
I just upgraded my fightstick with an IST korean lever. Thanks to this video the installation was a breeze. I want to try this Crown ones now. Great work JoystickNY.
This video was extremely helpful, thank you! I bought a Taeyoung Fanta standard collar and put it on my hori rap 4. I also got the arcade shock replacement panel for it so I would be able to fit the lever and the thing looks beautiful now. Thanks again for the video, it helped a ton!
Yo I wanna mod the same stick, did you also have the connected with 6 cables and was the .187 to 5 pin converter still fine ? I’m not sure about that unfortunately
It's cool that we live in a time when you can buy these pre-made. I was already warming up my soldering iron, but it looks like you're not gonna need it!

QuanGissle cant update stick it self, but some games supports legacy controller, for example sf5, under controller setting, there is support for older controller, u can connect there and use the ps3 stick, but alot some features are still limited, i think you still need your ps4 controller to navigate in other menus , i am not sure if every games has that option 🎮
Just changed the buttons and added a bat top to my venom stick. Couldn't decide on semitsu or sanwa but thought I'd prefer semitsu going off your last video. I was right 😁 Much nicer than sanwa imo. Thanks for your videos and information bro it's helped me so much 💪🏻

awesome video. One thing I struggle with is when I need to remove the .187 adapter harness cables from the korean lever, those wires seems to get stuck and it's hard to remove without damaging the wire. Not sure if you have any tips on this
i struggled with this too, but I found a video where they used a small flathead to push the connector away from the switches: th-cam.com/video/SQEgNFfuBHY/w-d-xo.html.
Thanks for the video bro! I've been using for some time a Seimitshu LS 32 lever on my Fighting Alpha Hori Tekken 8 Arcade Stick. I'm gonna give a try to this lever & comment results and feedbacks. Cheers! I.
The Korean lever you're using here looks very similar to Seimitsu sticks since it also has a metal plate that pushes the button instead of the actuator. Very interesting. Do Korean levers have an advantage or preference to certain games over Japanese sticks likes Sanwa and Seimitsu? I'm not planning on getting one, I'm just genuinely curious since a lot of people seem to want this kind of stick.
Great question, the way that Koreans sticks are designed, they are better for games with heavy directional inputs, such as tekken, soul calibur, dead or alive type games, korean uses a rubber inside instead of the traditional spring, it somehow works really well for those games, where as spring levers seems to work better for circular input games like quarter circle, half circle fireball shoryuken type games, i will go in to korean parts in the future 🙏❤️
Sorry friend, i dont have that stick. That is a new stick, i think is only release in japan, the import ones right now are quite expensive the last time i checked. It looks pretty flat, i have a feeling that it wont fit a korean lever
Obese-Juan Kenobi it feels very different because of the rubber inside to bring the stick back to neutral, i would say its better for tekken for sure ❤️🙏
Talal Alosmani i feel a 360 is easier on a Japanese stick, i feel the rubber inside the korean lever wants me to go back to neutral more than going around, its definitely better for tekken tho ❤️🙏

Alejandro Valdez Hernandez i dont really use a stick on a switch, and i personally dont think there is a need for a switch if you play smash, older street fighter versions on there, the only game that i can think of that can be useful would he dragon ball fighter z. If you really want a stick for switch, i would recommend just getting an adaptor for your current stick or get a mayflash f300, its only 50$ and you can also use it for the ps or xbox or pc and more. You can also mod it with good parts in the future and make it in to a solid stick
@@JoystickNY i appreciate your time to answer me. Ive been thinking to buy the hori mini for switch but as u said, theres not so much games that need it and dont have good mentions jeje! Thank u so much bro and congrats for your channel!
Alejandro Valdez Hernandez if you want the hori mini for games like animal crossing, and zelda or adventure games it would okay, but for fighting game, i will recommend something better 😊
@@alejandrovaldezhernandez6157 The mini isn't a good idea for fighting games, tbh, not good enough quality. I got it because i only own a Nintendo Switch and a PC, so i wanted to get the best stick for the Switch that i could. I know the game is on fightcade, check if mac supports it. I have it for windows:
If anything you might need to bootcamp a windows install on your mac
Kinda tempted to buy a Korean lever but I'm afraid I would be unable to play on arcades because of that.
izayoi9300 i think using japanese lever is good enough, you have a korean lever for tekken, but i think most games, i prefer japanese levers because most games are 2d and circular motion
Korean levers are good for 3D games, if you still wanted to use a Japanese stick but want to try the Korean feel you could use the otto v2 kit
net x thank you for sharing 👍
Do you like Korean stick better than the Sanwa JLF??
No, i like sanwa jlf the most, i use it for all games except tekken. Tekken is better with korean lever in my opinion 👍🕹
@@JoystickNY Just got my Korean Lever and I'm switching my Hyabusa stick. But my Hyabusa stick was had a mod to. I have extended jlf shaft, aluminum battop, octagon, bigger actuator, and a two pound spring. It was really nice. I'll have to make a video.
Chris Gonzales do it man, its always good to have more content creators for the community 🕹👍
