    When I watch your videos, I keep thinking some day, some day! Retirement comes in about 6 years, then I can head across the country. But at least being in So Cal, there’s still lots of great riding and scenery within a vacation’s distance (1 week at a time), and even in a day’s ride all year long, which is why I’m staying here as long as possible! Like everyone else who watches, I’m jealous! Thanks for posting these!

      Thanks! 6 years goes by fast - hang in there. And yes, at least you can get out and ride. We're heading to So Cal at some point. Maybe you could email us at twowheelsbiglife@gmail.com for some roads/areas we shouldn't miss. That would be awesome.

    So happy to see you got to spend time at the Blue Ridge Motorcycle Camp (BRMC). We have been going there for many years. I also held a K bike rally there for 12 years. They are great people and have wonderful food, on weekends. You picked a great summer camp sight. The sound of the river makes for great sleeping. Lack of sun makes it chilly in the spring or fall.
    We also have a Bushtec (Spartan) that we pull with our 93 K75S and a REI Kingdom 8 tent. Shame you didn't have more time to enjoy the area. The list of great roads is much to long to list with MUCH less traffic than the Dragon or BRP.
    Thanks again for the videos. RIDE SAFE!!

    OK guys here is my take on your videos. As a lifetime rider and motorcycle enthusiast (not biker) I not only love motorcycles and live each day with motorcycles as a primary element I also enjoy reading and one of my favorites is " The Perfect Vehicle" by Melissa Holbrook Pierson. What i like about her style is what I like about most women who write about motorcycles. No macho man HD nonsense and the tough guy BS but rather a honest viewpoint regarding the joy involved in this magnificent mode of travel. You guys personify this theme in your videos. There is none of the "Born to be wild" worn out biker nonsense rather honest enjoyment of the machine and passing through the environment rather than invading it with loud pipes and brass manliness. Please stay true to what you are doing a yours is the best MC documentary on the internet. Keep it up

    We are from Iowa and we have stayed in that area numerous times. We have ridden the length of the BRP 3 times and obviously absolutely love it. We have ridden there in the past but now we haul our less long-distance-worthy bikes to a campground south of Cherokee (near Balsam, NC). I can’t wait to go back and it’s hard to come back home when we are there. Friendly people, great roads, plenty of curvey roads, because here in Iowa we don’t have curves in the roads we just have corners. Great videos, they help us forget the 1 1/2 feet of snow outside! Keep them coming!

    • @TwoWheelsBigLife
      @TwoWheelsBigLife  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Corners can be fun as well. Rich could ride the curvy roads forever and I (Chris) was ready for a little more straight-a-way sometimes - like to take in the scenery and you can't do that as much on curvy roads.

    Blue ridge motorcycle campground is in my opinion best moto campground in that area (their is alot of moto campgrounds around parkway)great people around campground.Good thing it was sunny and you didnt hit the dense fog on parkway.What do you guys think of the parkway?

    • @TwoWheelsBigLife
      @TwoWheelsBigLife  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      We loved the Parkway and actually we did ride it one day in the fog, just didn't film it. Sometimes you just have to ride, explore and enjoy without the added stress of filming it. And we agree on the BR campground - great place and good people.

    To find sunny spots, buy a cheap compass and use it to point your nose south. Now, look left, ahead, and right. If there are any trees, cliffs, or other tall objects in those directions nearby you aren't going to get sun from that direction.

    There was fuel there when I rode the Blue Ridge 3 years ago. You need to ride the whole thing, from Cherokee to Stanton, VA. It's not as scenic one you get above Roanoke, but still an awesome ride. Running river is never annoying. Soothing.

For 5 days all we did was ride, including the Tail Of The Dragon. It rained most days, my tent leaked, sleeping bag and clothes got wet, I Had A Blast! It was exactly what I needed. Thank you for sharing and taking me back there.

      We can see how this place would be therapeutic for so many - you can't help but see the beauty of the area and not feel some sort of connection to it. Glad it helped you out.

    I love the Blue Ridge Parkway. You need to ride the whole thing someday. Having done it three times there is always something see. Hope you guys made it to Dry Falls outside of Highlands NC.
    Love watching your travels.

      Yes, we'll have to go back and ride the whole thing. The only problem we encountered was a bit more traffic than we're used to, but I think that was because everyone was out to see the colors changing in the area.

    Just wanted to say that snapping your fingers to show food transitions just elevated your vlogs to a whole new level!! LOL. Nice touch 👍😊 You must have really enjoyed those roads. That campground looked so nice. I would have chosen to be by the water too. Theres just something about listening to a stream. Thanks for the upload.

    I live in NC not far from here and recently came across your channel after getting my first motorcycle this September. Love your videos so much - thank you for sharing your lives and adventures with us! I thought I’d mention that the town of Cruso and the Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground were devastated by Tropical Storm Fred this August and are still cleaning up and recovering in November. I was just down in Cruso today bringing some supplies to a church that is providing meals to the community and the campground is still in really rough shape. It looks like they have some info on their Facebook page where folks can buy gift cards online/support them. Thought I’d let you and your followers know in case anyone is interested! I fished downriver of the campground while standing on a huge I-beam of a bridge that washed out, and there are still plenty of folks who lost their homes or are still unable to move back in as cleanup and restoration/rebuilding continues.

      Thanks, Haley, for letting us and everyone know about this. Absolutely loved our time at the Blue Ridge Motorcycle campground - so sad to hear about their devastation.

    My favorite place to ride. You had a beautiful day. I like that campground. The sound of the river is relaxing to me. I usually stay in a hotel in Bryson City, but that campground will be my next stay. Cant wait to see your TWO os Suches ride. I hope you rode Hwy 80 through Wolfpen Gap. So many great rides near Dahlonega. Thanks for another great ride!
