Thanks Damian. I want to visit Beachwalk one day. Especially when it's not that crowded. Never been there only to Ramayana Mal in Denpasar a couple of years ago. I scared a balinese little preschool boy with my "bule" face and blond hair. My friend Oka though he had never seen a Tourist like me before. He went off running and screeming to his mother after he bumpt in to me. I think it was most locals went to that Mall not so many tourists.
@@TheMonkeys Especially from the Aga Tribe maybe. My friend Oka the Tour guide was in conflict with them some years ago. So he won't go near them. They threatened to beat him up if they met him again.
There is a great view of the ocean from up top. But I prefer Lippo because it has a movie theatre, pharmacy, supermarket, gaming centre and big variety shop upstairs I forget its name, same as the one in Kuta Square that is closed, maybe closed at Lippo too, I don't know.
As far as I recall I haven't been to any malls in Bali as I didn't feel the need that time. The reason Robert gives could be right, you'll actually need to revisit next week then. On the other hand you mentioned your friend in Jakarta had noticed the same thing which he relates to the booster shots. It could then also be a combination of these 2, and maybe people are being more careful with their spendings in these uncertain times. Enjoy the weekend!

I don’t know because we never went past poppies 2 lol we always stayed at Barong then they pulled that down n built the Grand Barong lol …….. wasn’t until we got there one time n there were ppl everywhere on the road clearin the land ….. I asked my driver what was going on he said new hotel … we use to go to Bali 4 times a yr cause it was a cheap get away for shopping lol so we watched beachwalk grow 😀 ….. we were there for 2 weeks when it opened …. I got the most expensive opi nail polish from there lol was dearer than it was in Perth …. N I was the 1st opi customer 😀
Well good enough. You do not need a gigantic mall like sm mall of asia in an island like bali. As long as all products can be made available, it is good enough.
I think travelers would rather see the real Bali. Malls are for tourists in buses. Besides, the line is long to get in and they require a booster. No wonder no one is there.

Believe me or not there are still some people in Bali who never ever seen bule in real life so totally believe it
