    Thanks,looks awesome I was back in Bali for Nyepi in Ubud for a fortnight,however not good at navigating drivers as my back cannot handle motorbikes. The Sanur complex looks almost done. however I worry as a chunky foodie it would be too tempting at that mall. Is there also healthy options? I always go to Massimo Gelato&had brioche with 3 flavours for $3
    In future would like to spend longer in Vali,however as more of an introvert not sure if practical
    Thanks mate,you should be a secret tour guide
    Cheers

    I was amazed visiting this mall. So much overdue while few days earlier we were donating food in a northern village.
    I have to say that the AC hardware was well stocked although.
    Ps, next time try outside the stall with dutch pea soup, it was nice 😂

      You forget there are half a million non-balinese Indonesians living here, many with a significantly higher income, there are literally millions of international tourists that visit Bali each year.. there is a massive market for successful people that like to shop. Sure it's not the Bali I knew 30 years ago, but what place is the same as it used to be?

      Better tell Rundle Mall, Queen Street Mall, Cavill Mall, Hyatt Street Mall, Pitt Street Mall, Bourke Street Mall, Leura Mall, Central Park Mall, Murray Street Mall, Westfield Warringah Mall, Langtree Mall, Elizabeth Street Mall, Orana Mall, Broadbeach Mall, Ashfield Mall, Eaton Mall, Brisbane Street Mall, Hargreaves Mall, Tweed Mall, Bridge Mall Shopping Centre (having it both ways) etc. etc. to change their names 🤔

    • @catbones1
      @catbones1 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Kembali-1607 Rundle Mall. Queen Street Mall etc have all got one thing in common - they all have roads through them or are outdoors or/and were renamed a "mall" at the behest of the 'woke' brigade hysteria and propaganda (mainstream media ) changing our once unique culture into a proxy yank culture - words are very powerful esp when it's drummed into without people realising it by repeating it over and over - like a contagion . Cheers

    • @Kembali-1607
      @Kembali-1607 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@catbones1 Actually, they don’t all have streets running through them - Westfield Warringah Mall and Ashfield Mall (the same structural style as Living World in Denpasar and four others in Denpasar which actually have 'Mall' in their names) are two examples of many - and none were renamed ‘at the behest of the woke brigade’s hysteria and propaganda’.
      Warringah Mall was named as such when it opened in 1963, Rundle Mall was in 1976, Queen Street Mall was in 1982, Bourke Street Mall was in 1983, Ashfield Mall was also in 1983 and Langtree Mall was in 1986 - I could go on - so it seems that all were named ‘Mall’ long before the modern concept of ‘woke’ arose and there's no record, that I'm aware of, of any shopping centre in Australia ever being forced to change its name to include the word 'Mall'.
      Also the term ‘Shopping Centre’, in the sense of an enclosed group of retail outlets in one isolated building, originated in the USA in 1956 in Minnesota (Southdale Shopping Centre), but not in Australia until 1957 (Chermside Shopping Centre) which was referred to in the local press as ‘A new American phenomenon’ so neither the concept nor the the term of 'shopping centre' are unique to Australian culture - they're arguably American.
      The term ‘Mall’ is also not ‘Yank culture’ as it first appeared in England in 1661 as ‘Pall Mall’, a street in London named after a French ball game frequently played there (Pall meant ball and mall meant mallet), but English constantly evolves and it was first used as a generalised name for a pedestrianised city street in 1951 and has now evolved around the English speaking world (although now rarely used in England itself) to mean both ‘A very large building or buildings containing a lot of stores and often restaurants and usually with space around it outside for parking’ or ‘A street in a city or town with a lot of stores and that is closed to traffic.’ (Cambridge Dictionary).
      Here’s an ironic and interesting point - both the Oxford and the Cambridge Dictionaries define ‘Pushback’, when used in the sense of ‘negative reaction to a change or to something new that has been introduced’, as being ‘North American English’ so since your channel name is 'Pushback Jones' it would appear that you have been infected by the ‘Yank culture contagion' without knowing it - maybe you picked it up in a McDonalds 🤔
