I love this version of Madelyn Prior's story, i would have died if i had to to give up my child knowing i might never see them again, She is strong. And she didn't ask to be created so you can't blame her for being here. This episode is messy, hot and intense. Rogue and Magnus and Gambit. Morph secretly being in love with Logan. The demon fight in the mansion, Madelyn's Outfit change, Magnus being stripped by glass thrown at him by Madelyn(my favorite part). I love it, great reaction.

Great reaction - wish it was a bit longer! It's refreshing that you know so little about the X-Men. This series should be friendly to anyone who goes in blind. The X-Men have a fantastic, international roster, and so many fascinating characters that are integral to the Marvel universe (even outside of the films, so far)! Keep up the good work. More so than other teams, the X-Men accept re-formed villains into the fold - Rogue, Magneto, Quicksilver, Frenzy, Juggernaut, Mystique, Sabretooth, the White Queen, and a few other questionable characters have come and gone from the roster throughout the years.

You have every right to feel dazed and confused. In the X-Men comics Madelyne Pryor's sad story is a five year arc (From 1983-88). Jean & Madelyne have only recently made peace with each other (in the comics).

I think it would have been cool to see a fear vision from Wolverine. Maybe a vision where he enters a room and sees Lady Deathstrike surrounded by dead X-Men as she just kills Jean or Morph.

As for the episode, yeah I loved it! I am currently watching the original show, and was just a bit put off by the way they had Jean faint so much after using her powers. She's really powerful in the comics and this show is giving her *and* every other character the respect they deserve! (Like Cyclops) I love what they did with Madelyne too, compared to the original comics. _This_ is what happens when a show is made with actual passion! So excited for the rest of your reactions!

At least it's better than what happened in the comics. Jean sacrificed herself to save the team. Later; Madelyn Pryor was written in as a new love interested for Scot, who he later married. Nathan was kidnapped, and Scott left to go find him. In doing so; we find Jean is actually still alive. The OG team forms X-Factor, a group of Mutant Hunters for the Government, who are secretly Mutants rescuing other young Mutants. Madelyn joined the X-Men to have them find her baby, and in doing so, the Phoenix Force gave back Jean's memories to her which it mistakenly thought it was Jean. In doing so; gave a small amount of its power to her. When she was later awaken by Demons from Limbo, she would become the Goblin Queen to fight the X-Men and X-Force. Jean won the battle by taking back her memories, and pretty much everything Madelyn was.
So; no Madelyn Pryor, only Jean Grey. Here' Maddy gets to walk away her own person.

Maybe it isn't perfect, how Jean, Scott & Madelyne where treated in the comics, but the Inferno Saga is my favorite X-Men Event and I was a bit disappointed, that this was all, what we saw.

Clone jean or Madelyn as she wants to be called has for at least the last 9 months was on the xmen since cycloos and her did make a baby together. 9 month pregnancy estimated. Original jean was captured by Mister Sinister for at least the last 9 months within the time of the show. Possibly longer.
Madelyn when under control of Mister Snister was basically making all the xmen see psychic illusions. A shared delusion ls which is why the xmen were huddled together when original jean ended it before passing out.

My guess is Jean was switched just before the end of season 5. I'd have to look back, but from memory, she had her hair loose during the last episode. Madelyne always has her hair loose. Jean normally prefers her hair in a pony tail. I think it's the clue left by the authors!
