Hello Soph! Im a artist who studied color theory so maybe i can help :) Your eyes are blue with a heavy mix of cool grey. So i think, instead of a stark orange, you should use a orangey brown. Like burnt orange. Like a color you might also be a good bronzer, but perhaps a little too orange. Like one that looks like a bad self tan lol The orange will make the blue pop but the brown will help bring out the greys too. Since shadows are usually purple (cool grey has purple in it) and the brown will help with that and make it not look as jarringly bright. I hope this helps :)

I agree. I studied colour theory, too! I have blue/green eyes and my go to shade for an easy makeup look is burnt orange, in the Anastasia Renaissance palette. ❤ I would love to see her use that one!

Also, the lip liner one definitely didn't look quite right but I can't put my finger on why, it just looks really off...

I feel like you have a very similar eye colour to me- I always describe it has light/icy blue. The colour that always looks the best with my eyes is a copper or burnt orange. Whenever I use that, I get so many compliments about how pretty my eyes are.
This is just what I need on night shift x that contour placement trick has changed the game for me, I have a round/heart shaped face and it really works for me but I only really do it for night time
Soph, I love it so much when you take things that don't go as expected just in stride! And honestly- some of these hacks seem to be more work than the usual way 😂. I tried so hard to love the Halo Glow, but it gives me texture where I swear I never had any! It also doesn't work as primer for me.
I am really loving blush draping/ blush on the temples, so I liked the blush!

I think the blush one was cut ebut only for certain looks. I still like the way you usually apply blush (especially since you put some on the nose when barely anyone else does). Also, E.l.f cosmetics is such a good brand and I hope they never discontinue their crema highlight or eyebrow kit that I got from the drugstore years ago.

Sorry to sound like your mum but remember your SPF on your parting, it looks a tiny bit red and your parting can be a hidden place for skin cancer that lots of people forget about when applying sunscreen ❤
An alternative to the cotton buds you would use the wee sponge applicators that come some eyeshadow palates

I recently used a orange liner and my eyes popped! Mine was more like a liquid liner so maybe that's why the contrast was so big. But it def worked for me

I think the liner did work!... it looked more natural before you added the liner to the top but it looks great!
I use the elf contour glow wand daily! Just wish there was more product in it as I run out fast! It's the perfect cool tone shade for pale skin. I'm super pale and other contour shades can look orange on me

I've been thinking of trying the Elf Halo Glow Powder for a while now, but the 'glow' aspect of it worries me as I have pretty oily skin. It looks alright in this video though!
I feel like your eyes looked more turquoise/aqua once the orange was on. 🤷♀️ I also agree with the person who said E.L.F's halo glow filter doesn't have light enough shades 😢

Just a little observation - I feel like your blush/bronzer placement makes your face look wider because it attracts attention to the sides rather than the center so instead of giving you a lifted look, it makes your face look wider/shorter.. Would you try placing your blush towards the center and the contour a bit lower? I think that would suit your face type a lot better! Love from India😍😍😍

I would recommend the hydrating one! I was in the same boat as you and thought the regular camo was way too dry (same with Shape Tape). The hydrating camo concealer is the only one I've used for the past year or so.
I'm in my 30s with dry undereyes and found the hydrating one to be super cakey. I prefer the Catrice Tru Skin

Hi Soph. I keep seeing lots of adverts for the Laura Geller full face baked products. They claim that the baked foundation does not crease or sit in any lines. Have you used any of these? Are they any good?
The last hack with the lips is more like the "too much filler" effect where it migrates over your lip-edges. Which I do like myself, but it is definitely not natural :D
Hi Soph, I have sensitive and dry skin and i am a little nervous to use the halo glow as I’ve had people that have the same skin Type as me break out because of it, would u think it would be okay for me to use or should i not get it?
Instead of the concealer and two different color blushes under your eyes, use a pink color corrector and then concealer on top. Also, you can bring your Blush up higher on your cheek! Obviously not directly under your eyes, though!
I love the elf range its a perfect match for my skin tone but unfortunately the elf products do not like me brings me out in painful lumps and spots all over my face😢 so now ive got to try and find the perfect contour for pale skin 😭. Any ideas on grey toned contours.

Do you know if the new shade range for elf halo glow liquid filter is inclusive for pale skin? The first fair shade ended up being too orange for me 😢
The lip thing just looks like you have left over food on your lips! But the eyeshadow flowers and the colour wingy thing were my favourites
