• Marisa "Rocket Broom" Kirisame, who recently heard of Shovel Knight from Kourindou (those potions are totally Plague Knight's thing...)
• Kanako "Pillar Zenyatta" Yasaka, where Down-Attack (and Down-Side-Attack) is her friend. Every. Single. Fight.
• Murasa "TOSTUGEKI!" Minamitsu, with little movement control and all JoJo-level firepower. (BTW, Up-Attack tears Okuu apart, fight's a joke.)
• Yoon and Shion Yorigami aka the "Koch Sisters", who took up "Krav Maga" (not actually) from the Middle East, and spray oil everywhere to show off
• Protagonist Flandre "Crystal Apple!!!" Scarlet feat. Armchair General Okina Matara - Flan owns the sky with her air attacks (Down-Air for far, second Up-Air for close)

Probably because Utsuho is overpower. Flandre is playable because she will get hurt when she touches water.
@@RegretHeart I don't think that's the reason, utsuho is playable in other touhou games, besides most characters can be as op as her, I think the reason why it is not playable is simply because it is not a playable character xd

Damn dude. I've been looking through the 17.5 remixes, and while they're all definitely good, none of them absolutely blow me away.
The exception being this one. It's generally pretty groovy on the whole, but the inclusion of ZUNpets in a song that isn't entirely chiptune sounds sexy as fuck. I started headbanging the first time I heard them

I personally like Joon and Shion theme remix, like the original is already very good but the Remix introduces an entirely different feel to the already good track.
There definitely are plenty of other good remixes in here - just none with the same impact I think. Flan returning after all this time is hype n all, but her song in 17.5 is kinda _meh_ imo. Joon and Shion's theme is pretty great, but I find myself preferring the original, reserving the new one for use as a change of pace. This song is the only version where I could _arguably_ put it in its original context and still love it
Just look how at 0:50 the keyboard follows the rhythm around and then later gets picked up by the bass. It's incredible

As an Utsuho fan that has never played 17.5, I can confirm that this theme captures the "Woman representing Satan firing a neutron star out of their arm cannon" vibe really well

Also considering Utsuho is the final boss of a game where the setting is called "former hell" I'd say that's devil-status worthy
Having played the game, I can say this theme is the sole reason I can go through this bullshit of a boss. Can't count how many times I thought of just throwing my controller and calling it quits.
Still gonna aim for no death clear, though it's gonna take a while (for me at least).
My first reaction was "I have to fight her on this platformy bullshit?!?"
it seems like a hard fight at first , untill you realize that she has the durability of a cardboard cutout and you can beat her by just face-tanking all her attacks and damaging her faster than she kills you + her final phase is basically free so she might as well not have one.
@@aregularhuman4776 that moment when I use flandre and for some reason knocks Okuu out from her first spell (6 balls moving and raining flames) in like 3 seconds without even realizing what combo I used
I punched her once with Joon and she died.

With *_that_*_ ZUN trumpet_ and bases that stands out at 1:11 which is almost similar to the UNL's, I really like how this song is arranged in a sophisticated way while referencing the SA and UNL.

I'm pretty sure they're just normal trumpets. Which is weird in a Touhou theme, but makes sense since ZUN didn't make this one.
