Been a gamer for 20 years, you learn some things in that time. Like how to recognize a flashy good looking game in trailers that’s going to be terrible in application. And this is exactly that.

Its not always true. When Ghost of tsushima trailer first came out it looked grand and flashy. In the end the game was really very good. So fingers crossed
Gaming the same amount of time as you, brother lol I learned a long time ago, the brighter the flash, the uglier the disappointment. I'm hopeful for this one, though. I'm hoping this releases and becomes a huge hit.
In the world of MMORPGs, I like to tank. Hell, I even look like a tank lol. I'm hoping this Paladin class rivals the Pally I played on Neverwinter or my DK on ESO. Let's give it a shot.
I'm willing to wait a bit for this to drop because I prefer not to have a broken game as my experience of jumping into it for the first time.

I can't decide which class looks the best, they're all so awesome. That's a good problem to have. Looks like there will be sub classes or specializations for each class as well.
I am looking forward to CO but seeing that there isn't much info on it. Possibly towards the end of the year or next year in 2025. We might get the game. But I am looking forward to it for sure. It been a while since I got, into a MMO that actually keeps my attention. But I can be patient. Besides MH and few other nice switch games. I Can wait for more until they release Chrono Oddessy.

I’m neither optimistic nor pessimistic about it. At this point, I’m hoping for anything. It’s not like any other game studios can be relied upon.
As a type of game I love it. It's been a long time since I was amazed by an MMO trailer.
I'm very pleased that it's buy 2 play but I would have preferred to pay a monthly subscription rather than have microtransactions if not just for aesthetic elements.
I hope it doesn't have a crafting system similar to BDO and I'm very happy that there are 2 weapons per class that can be used but maintaining the same class avoiding the situation of the wizard_tank or similar obscenities. I am very interested and it would be interesting to know something, even imprecise, about the possible release dates.

Maybe it's a MMO light without the big raids because I play FFXIV and sometimes there's 30 people on screen. From what i see here, there's a lot less. I just don't think a MMO can look this good when i see how WOW and FFXIV look. This even blows that Amazon MMO out.
Never played Black Desert Online ha? its graphics is on par with the showcased game... and BDO is almost a decade old now lol.. BDO isnt the standard, its the anomaly of the mmos.

Man i really hope this is going to have a ton of MMO content. From what ive seen so far, it looks more like a solo player mmo with a little bit of mmo content for groups/raids.

Would prefer a p2p model with no cash shop tbh. But those often end up having a cash shop anyway. And B2P games like GW2 and BDO often end up creating inconveniences and then selling you convenience (i.e: bag space, shared inventory slots, pets, templates). Would much prefer a feature complete experience and not some poor live service model driven by artificial player retention.
Hope it's a buy once and play forever as well.

Hoping it will be as amazing as it looks, but don't expect it this year. Always hopeful for new MMO's, but we'll just have to wait and see.
I honestly hope that they have a subscription service similar to ffxiv, I'm a little tired of seeing MMOs die. I don't have a lot of faith in Kakao but an actual good quality MMO on the scale of ffxiv with action gameplay is something the world is missing rn.

If this is going to be a multiplayer co-op and social space playing with other or have a public event killing boss and other players join I m welcoming it with open arms

I am super excited for this game and I hope they nail the buy to play system "as they call it". Because this game looks like it really has to the potential to be a memorable experience and a lasting one also. As long as they don't try to go pay to win I am very hyped for this games potential.

the enemy mob animation is super repetitive as it looks like. they should at least add 2 animation per mob so that they look different during combat.

Hope they change that generic running animation on the ranger that so many games use, no archer would ever sprint or even jog with 2 hands on the bow like that. Just a little thing that personally bothers me a ton XD.

Not gonna buy it straight away, perhaps wait and see some reviews, if there are massive P2W elements, people will not even try this or quit within 1-2 months including myself. If its fair and buy once to play with good updates and OPTIONAL cashshop with reasonable prices, they got gold on their hands... But we all know the corporate greed and bullshit micro's there are in today's gaming..

Korean MMO:s doesnt have a great track-record in the west outside of Lost Ark. They seem to take forever to release and when they do, people have moved on.

This game will better than Throne and Liberty
all ive ever wanted was a fullscale mmo with actual action combat. I want to actually aim my ranged weapons, i want to aim my spells, i want to feel like my greatsword is smashing through some giant monsters face.
Something like Dragons Dogma gameplay..but in an mmo. So far, no game has actually delivered on that well, and been an otherwise good game.
I don't want my combat to be just mashing hotkeys for skills on my hotbar. I want to use combos and have just a few very strong, meaningfull skills, rather than spamming a bunch of meh skills that arent visually appealing or satsifying to hit with. Thats the main thing that makes MMOs boring. Even BDO and FFXIV, some of the better ones, are so repetitive and boring in combat.
FF14 shines in trials and raids, moment to moment gameplay in the over world or zones are mediocre at best. While the story is hit or miss sometimes, Again FF14 is a raid simulator and there is no other game or MMO out there that does it as well as FF14.
Will this be available for Xbox/ps5?
