Here in Turkey being a soldier is so important that in the past i mean in 70s 80s if you want to marry a girl the family of the girl would ask if you've done your military service or not. 🙂 Military service is compulsory here and if you've done it you be a man that you know your responsibilities. And there is also a motto in the turkish army while they are marching they call out "Every turk is born as a soldier"

In this particular scene it’s depicting a real life situation caused by an ambush on a station where the lookout fell asleep. All these soldiers were killed in that ambush while sleeping all because the lookout fell asleep.
well its not a short film its actually a movie in 80's especially in 90's turkish military wasnt prepared for the guerilla warfare in southeastern turkey and we were fighting with pkk short term solution was the outposts on tops of high places to secure important routes but still terrorist knowing the area and terrain well were launching suprise attacks to these outposts the commander speaking there is tasked with reinforcing that outpost in the beginning of the movie you will see that when they are trying to reach that outpost on foot they get attacked by snipers lost 2-3 men and when they reached the outpost they just walked in from the front door find out that the guy on the guard duty was sleeping people in the outpost were sleeping they were not prepared for an attack an that is the result
