What a great movie. It's a legend movie. Very very emotional 👍👍👍
The plot of the movie is an excerpt from a real event.
The reason why he's disciplining his men in this scene is because the outpost needed reinforcements. The captain is part of the reinforcements and he lead his men through a shortcut in order to get to the outpost faster. They were ambushed along the way and he lost some men. When they arrived at the outpost they found the soldier pulling guard duty asleep. So they crept into the outpost and got settled in without a sound hearing. That's why he tells everyone they are dead. If they weren't friendlies all of them would've been killed in their sleep.

We suffered for 40 years, 1 soldier dies per day on average, more on sudden ambushes like the one in the movie. For people who don't get it, those soldiers are being ambushed in a station on their own country.
Just 1 month ago PKK executed 13 Turkish captives in an Iraq armed mountain cave, when Turkish special operations dared to strike that cave. Those captives were in the hands of PKK for over 5 years without any hope of retrival. And they died by bullets into their brains just for being soldiers, policeman, officers in the wrong place and time. Since they were not taken in a fire fight, they were kidnapped from their cars by PKK terrorists on rural country highway road blockades.
The PKK terrorists whom are 10000 strong at most with only a few hundred thousand supports, trying to slow, bite, chew Turkish Republic, eventhough there are approximately 30 million Kurds in Turkey. So it is a bitter political game between US, EU, Russia, Iran, Syria, Iraq and Turkey.
PKK slaughters a village full of Kurds to show they are the law not the government, Turkish Republic builds a station up there and put soldiers, PKK then assaults that station and/or ambushes troopers on the way. This is a bloody political game. Yet Turkey must show it's force, soldiers must go there since it is their state. And Kurds in the ranks of PKK must continue this bloodshed, go cry they are the victims, and still go kill the innocent.
This and political Islam, the two madnesses that turn modern, peaceful, honest Anatolians into depressed, lost souls.
