Frusciante has personally stated he doesn't wanna do one because he feels weird about it. I'm sure he's been asked or approached about doing one before.

It would be really helpful to have one person demo multiple pickups in the same sitting. Can't tell whether pickups sound brighter/darker or if that was just one player's amp settings and playing or actual differences in the pickups themselves.
They sound great. I wish I had some money. I would buy that exact Strat.

Hoping for some single-coil sized humbuckers. The one in my Contemporary Tele sounds rad!
The noiseless pickups are technically humbuckers because of how they make them noiseless. Seymour Duncan hot rails are your best option for a real humbucker though.

@@ryryshredder148I have Hotrails I both of my 1980 Fender Lead II guitars…. High output and a bit midrangey….. they don’t sound that great clean
@@Bernz66 yeah that is what most people who switch to humbuckers are looking for. There isn’t really a reason to switch out the single coils if you mainly play clean

I put a set in a 2015 Tokai Goldstar and it transformed it. I would highly recommend them.
These would sound good in my ebony fingerboard Strat.
I bought this set and I still have it in its box after 2 years but I recently bought a Strat with ebony fretboard. I like they way they sound in this video.

Disappointed you didn't use a tube amp. Pickups mean nothing if not played through an amp that a player uses. Just saying.
