I’ve got a bad attraction with a good queue and that is Minion Blast. It’s the one that replaced Shrek 4D in Florida. Its queue replicates the villain con from the minions movie near perfectly with showcases of weapons, promos for famous villains etc. but the ride is literally you standing on a moving walkway and blast things on screens. It was hard to keep track where I was on the screen half the time. If you have the time, check out the videos online and see what you think of it. I think that this attraction is a waste of space like supercharged, yes Shrek did over stayed his welcome but I honestly feel like they could’ve done something better, it might have to do with all the budget cuts they been making there especially with Epic Universe coming up, but that’s just my opinion.
Glad to have you back for another episode. With how well knit our community is, I guess you could call it a Family of sorts. *See You Again intensifies*
14:58 I love how it’s obvious not a “haha I’m self aware and quirky” bit and he was visibly heartbroken over it and he knew he couldn’t play it off or rebuttal without making it more pathet8,
Just he he isn’t rolling his eyes or doing an exaggerated reaction,he just pouts and looks around awkwardly like he just got an F on the big history test.
As someone who really likes Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT, I gotta say, the queue is the only thing about it that truly sticks with me. Genuinely, I find myself thinking about that queue and its inspirational themes so much more than the ride itself. Which yes, is a fun coaster... but the queue is a true EPCOT experience that I can't imagine spending a park visit without.
From one Cosmic Rewind purist to another, I can agree with you to an extent. The queue does grab your attention and starts to build up the story before the preshow. However, I'm more focus on ride itself especially right before the launch cause my favorite part is hearing that guitar rift of Universe of Energy and singing the lyrics. Heck I just did it on my last trip and it felt so good.
I saw that Tonight Show clip with Blake Shelton on a McDonald's TV, and thought it was a VERY elaborate joke that they gave Jimmy Fallon a ride only to look it up when I got home to find out it was real!
My vote goes to the Spider-Man ride in Avengers Campus. Great references in the queue to Moon Girl and a good pre-show but the attraction itself is exhausting and a bit boring.
Honestly though? The actual Jimmy Fallon ride itself was one of the most absurdly effective motion simulators in the park for me, I'm baffled how a giant flying theater system like that could trick my brain so effectively that I had sea legs afterwards.
Saw this months ago as a Patreon. Glad to have ya back. Great work, man. For one I’d include on this list, Florida Pirates. Easily the weakest version of the ride, but with one of the best queues out of any iteration.
Off topic, but I've thought of the attractions at big theme parks that have closed this decade so far. If you have any I've missed, please let me know, but here are some off the top of my head: 1. Splash Mountain at Disneyland (1989 - 2023) and Disney's Magic Kingdom (1991 - 2023) 2. Wild Artic at Seaworld Orlando (1995 - 2020) and Seaworld San Diego (1997 - 2020) 3. Blue Men Aquos Theatre at Universal Studios Florida (2007 - 2020) 4. Animal Actors Stage at Universal Studios Hollywood (1970 - 2023) 5. Special Effects Stage at Universal Studios Hollywood (2002 - 2023) 6. Shrek 4D at Universal Studios Florida (2003 - 2022) 7. Terminator 3D at Universal Studios Japan (2001 - 2020) 8. Madagascar: A Crate Adventure at Universal Studios Singapore (2011 - 2022) 9. Voyage of the Iron Reef at Knott's Berry Farm (2015 - 2020) 10. Primeval Whirl at Disney's Animal Kingdom (2002 - 2020) 11. Fairy Tale Brook at Legoland California (1999 - 2023) 12. Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster at Universal Studios Florida (1999 - 2023) 11. A Day in the Park with Barney at Universal Studios Florida (1995 - 2020) 12. Poseidon's Fury at Universal's Islands of Adventure (1999 - 2022) 13. Safari Trek at Legoland California (1999 - 2023) 14. Aquazone Wave Racers at Legoland California(2000 - 2020) 15. Star Wars: Galatic Starcruiser at Walt Disney World Resort (2022 - 2023) 16. The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman at Universal Studios Japan (2004 - 2024) 17. Backdraft at Universal Studios Japan (2001 - 2020)
The Jurassic Park ride in islands of adventure is the exact opposite. It’s a great ride, but the queue is kind of crappy. The queue for the one in Hollywood is a bit better and is more appealing, but it still could be much better, especially given how great of a ride it is.
Yes, I can admit that Supercharged is perfect and I do see the problems with it. Major issue I'll never get over is the absence of the 3D. Seriously Universal, if you want to clone your own rides...THEN CLONE YOUR OWN RIDES!!!! . . . . But.........I STILL ENJOY IT NONETHELESS.
As Someone who's been to Disneyland twice and went on Star Tours both times, I never experienced the Queue... because my mom had an EVC so we skipped that bit. Which is a shame, because that looks cool. Maybe next time I won't skip it, but I don't know.
The Kong queue at Islands of Adventure would definitely fit this for me. It’s beautifully rendered and has some impressive animatronics, it just has a really mediocre at best ride (the Kong animatronic is amazing though).
I am the closest to a person you know that has something nice to say about Supercharged. That being said, you only know of me through the comments and patreon so...
Those magic bands can track guest location to a certain degree. Would it be so hard for them to implement that on Star Tours to decrease the likelihood that guests get the same ride film over and over? Theres a good chance these boarding groups have been to the parks often enough. Especially in cali. Tag their bands so that if a majority of magic bands have the same ride patterns, mix up the film.
Closest I can personally think of is Frozen Ever After, but that’s a good ride (and overall WAY BETTER than the boring, weird, definitive definition of an overrated, underrated attraction that was Maelstrom, fight me).
I'm not a fan of the newer Star Tours. The CGI makes it look like a video game to me vs the effects of the original looking much more real. It also always felt like they toned down the movement with the upgrade. I'm all for updating attractions if they need it, but it just felt a lot like a downgrade to me. But for me one of the biggest good queue bad attractions goes to Pandora's Banshee ride. I have no interest in Avatar, but there are plenty of attractions where I think the IP is bad or meh but enjoy the attraction. And I /love/ the queue. It's immersive! There's lots to look at! All to lead to a very mediocre simulator that once again just looks like a video game but also comes with the added bonus of uncomfortable seats and motion sickness.

“Where’s the ride?”
“This *is* the ride!”
“Yippee!!”
“…Next year, I’m going camping.”
Every time I see Fallon's face at the Universal parks, I am reminded that it could've been Conan O'Brien had the NBC executives didn't screw him over.
Unironically a “hall of presidents” type show for the Tonight Show would be infinitely more interesting
Theme Snark is back, baby!
Glad to have you back for another episode. With how well knit our community is, I guess you could call it a Family of sorts. *See You Again intensifies*
I think this family should go on a…Hollywood Drift

One Little Queue...
From me and you…
My vote goes to the Spider-Man ride in Avengers Campus. Great references in the queue to Moon Girl and a good pre-show but the attraction itself is exhausting and a bit boring.
The epitome of great queue and meh ride is under the sea: journey of the little mermaid in magic kingdom. Do I even NEED to elaborate?
Honestly though? The actual Jimmy Fallon ride itself was one of the most absurdly effective motion simulators in the park for me, I'm baffled how a giant flying theater system like that could trick my brain so effectively that I had sea legs afterwards.

3:22 If Mickey is the second most powerful rat in children's entertainment, who's the first?
Why Charles Entertainment Cheese, of course.
I'm ready for Star Tours to stop being an inconsistent mashup of Star Wars scenes and become something that makes sense again.
The Master has returned
Oh, the wonders of waiting in line...

Rodger Rabbit was a good(but short ride) but the queue was amazing

This is just what I needed after an already rough start to my week! Glad to see you back making content!
This video made me realize I never got kashykk in star tours 2 I didn’t even know that was a thing

That last one, I need to hear the 3 hour long episode from Podcast the Ride again.
As Someone who's been to Disneyland twice and went on Star Tours both times, I never experienced the Queue... because my mom had an EVC so we skipped that bit. Which is a shame, because that looks cool. Maybe next time I won't skip it, but I don't know.

Wow your editing is getting even better! Glad you’re having fun making vids again and I can’t wait to see more
Now I would love to see the opposite: Bad Queue, Great Ride.
Problem is, everything at Six Flags clears that bar fairly easily
I mean… that is the vast majority of good rides without a really themed queue.
I call this a win though the attraction is a major loss but hey love to see you back now I've missed these theme park videos of yours
Welcome Back! 🎉
I luckily got the perfect Star Tours sequence in January, though the transmission was from Yoda.
14:54 it definitely should have been just the queue

Doctor Doom’s Fearfall probably has the best queue for me. An absolute shame that the ride itself kinda sucks.
I’m such an uncultured swine. If Mickey’s the second most powerful rat in children’s entertainment, who’s the first?
Charles Entertainment Cheese
@@TheOneNamedMrLifehe at least has his name on the establishment…
Pikachu?
Closest I can personally think of is Frozen Ever After, but that’s a good ride (and overall WAY BETTER than the boring, weird, definitive definition of an overrated, underrated attraction that was Maelstrom, fight me).
YAAAAAAY

Out of all the people that got their own ride. Why Jimmy Fallon and also why with those anti-fat seats?
I wonder if Tiana's would qualify? I like the queue more than the ride from what I've seen.
I hate how nice supercharger’s Florida queue is for how bad the ride is. Like there’s some real cool stuff there. Same with Fallon
Also, just like the rides he mentioned in this, this video is disappointing.
@@gmanley1 Thanks for the engagement!
