That’s really weird that USH doesn’t have a table service restaurant in the park when each of the Florida Universal parks have two. But hey, at least Citywalk is getting a Toothsome.
Great job as usual, Charlie. 3:32 - Dear Ra, the old raptor encounter suits looked *awful*, especially compared to Blue these days. 3:48 - Hey look, a knockoff! ... I'll show myself out. 4:14 - I mentioned this is the premiere chat, but... I don't care if it's "not in universe," ALL HAIL MEGATRON!!! May he insult guests for all time! ;)
I still very much miss Back to the Future. I like the Springfield area, but the ride still makes me feel motion sick, even when I never get motion sick on other simulation rides. I kinda wish they'd do something with BttF on the Studio Tour.
(dont know if chariles into wrestling, but savio's new outfit is giving me "Sinister Minister" Vibes....) Eh, Might be another reference. Oh well, good to see you again man!
Charlie, I just want to take the time here and say that I love your videos! I've been watching since around 2015 (I discovered you after watching Tony on Channel Awesome) but this is my first time commenting. Your videos are always informational while being entertaining, and it's easy to tell how much you love these theme parks. Your passion emanates throughout each and every single video you do, and your retrospectives are some of my favorite theme park history videos on the internet. Keep up the good work and I hope you and Hailey are staying safe and healthy.
These videos just keep getting better and better! Love seeing you give your insight on the park's history! And maybe I'll catch you at the park again whenever it reopens. c:
This video is fantastic!!! I’m so excited!! Also YES on the food being terrible. I really like the food at Three Broomsticks, and the Krusty Burger i had was way better than I expected, but I WOW was the food at Mel’s terrible and disappointing. At least TRY to compete in that area, Universal!
If we're being charitable, we could just assume that the somewhat bland and standard food options in Springfield are part of the "theming." Springfield on the show isn't exactly known for high quality. On a side note, I bought one of those big donuts once, and I was disappointed that it's more like a funnel cake than an actual donut.
I'll bet if they ever get rid of Springfield in USH they'll put the Diagon Alley expansion there without the Express train so they don't have to figure out travel between the two lots. That is, if they ever want to risk working with the Author Who Must Not Be Named again.
They’re still gonna work with her as I think Epic Universe will have stuff to do with Fantastic Beasts, but people like me are more interested in the land themed to the company who once tried to acquire the HP multimedia rights.
As someone who constantly visits the parks, I'm in full agreement that the food options at USH are mediocre at best (even the food at CityWalk can be meh). I do wholeheartedly agree that Universal needs to step up their game in terms of food, and the revised Jurassic Cafe was a step in the right direction. Hell, my former local park, California's Great America is also guilty of being a theme park with no table service restaurant (at least after the 80s), but even their quality of food is miles ahead of USH's. I would even appreciate it even more if they added more gluten and dairy free options as someone who has those allergies. I theorize that they only do this so that it doesn't detract customers from going to a CityWalk restaurant, but to bring up your point about Disney and Knott's, they have sit down restaurants, both in the parks and in their shopping districts (Hell, CGA was gonna get the same thing before the expansion was suspended). Other than that, this was a pretty nice video.
I will have to check out USH again when things get better! We really miss going up there. It's just a pain to get from the OC to that part of LA and back...
Actually brining back Back to the Future and reshaping Springfield into Hill Valley wouldn't be so hard all the buildings would remain and they would just have to make some cosmetic changes incorporate the old west, the 50's, the 80's and futuristic 2015 all at the same time and present it as Biff messing with time. That would actually be really cool.
21:40 oh boy it's look like it's almost his time to say the same rant every other park channel did 2 years ago (i get F&F supercharged wasn't good but i feel like the hate for it kinda spiraled out of control, i still take supercharged over extreme close up any day)
@@christheleavittman7080 Because if Universal was really serious about a new BTTF ride or even bringing back the original, we would've had BTTF Part IV a long time ago, and as long as Zemeckis and Gale are still around, that's not gonna happen.
Oh Charlie...complaining about the food quality at USH! You should venture down south, here in San Diego...where our two semi-mediocre “theme parks”, LEGOLAND and Sea World, have some of the most GOD AWFUL overpriced theme park food, cuisine reminiscent of your VERY BEST Municipal Little League Field Snack Bar!!
Once ate at Krusty burger a looong time ago (back when Springfield first opened), it was really bad. Although I feel bad because I feel I should give it another chance, might have been just a bad one.
That might be a tad difficult, as before this whole situation went down, the park retired Spongebob as a character due to (and this is 100% hearsay) the Viacom contract expiring.
@@ThemeSnark darn I thought that seemed pretty likely, who knows we still do supposedly have 8 more years to go alot can change by then and I doubt spongebob will stop being a hot ticket ip anytime soon
I haven’t, only seen clips and played Road Rage. I don’t own Hit & Run or any other game and I don’t own any seasons. I do own the movie, but haven’t actually watched it.
Part 3! th-cam.com/video/C6AEx6lrNZg/w-d-xo.html
It’s my old work area! Fun fact: The kitchen for Krusty, Cletus, and Lard Lads is in the same building of Three Broomsticks.
Latin translation at the start: “And the walls keep tumbling down in the city that we love.”
Charlie talking about theme park food is something I never knew I needed in my life. Thank you for this wonderful gift
11:39 Oh hey it’s my old buddy Chairscoot!
He’s my generation’s Geddup Noise!!

The ending!!! O-O

Brilliantly done, especially the intro!

If they ever make another Nickelodeon attraction, they need the Krusty Krab. And not that seafood restaurant with “C”s in the name down by the port.

Great! Now when will Universal build that Balto Ride I’ve been waiting for?

What if Dave Ganssle's MST3K ride idea took Springfield's place? And the surrounding area would be Moon 13/Gizmonic.

4:05 Megatron ordering Starscream to take down your channel will never not be funny to me.
"delicious creamed chipped beef"
Nobody could write that line with a straight face.
FINALLY!!!!!(in a good way)
8:40 Do they offer the Krust Deluxe yet?
This was good after a long bad day. Thank you...i o u
Heck yeah dude!
Edit: oh God not him.
7:18 - I can't believe they have a Simpsons-theme burger restaurant, and they don't have the "Good Morning Burger" as a menu option.
RIGHT??? Unfortunately, they can't make any changes to anything in the land without going through Disney. So we'll see what happens come 2028
I shouldn’t have watched this while hungry. Good vid though!
If Simpsons has to go Then we NEED a universal monsters land

While that is true, I personally find it to be a massive step down from even Kong 360.
Is there a secret menu item in Springfield? Like, a Krusty Burger patty served on a Lard Lad donut?
I don’t know, but it kinda makes up for the lack of Rip Ride Rockit. But then again, California also has In-N-Out.
Saevio returns!!!!!1!!!
Also, nice All Critics Must Die reference in the cold open.
Also, Also, why can't BTTF come back again? That was pretty vaguely told.
Chris the Leavittman because the attraction is dated. You’re essentially going to the past where there’s apparently flying cars everywhere.

Say what you will about Fast and Furious soup or Salad, it's MILES better than Extreme Close-up!

Plus are we going to acknowledge that one guy on the right at 15:33 who's wearing a certain hat at the wrong park? Just saying.
Is Megatron a guy in a suit or is it a robot with someone controlling it?
What are your thoughts on the VIP studio tour??
I'm pretty sure spongebob is coming to where the Simpsons are currently
