The CD rotation was a lot of punk/hardcore/pop-punk: Rancid, Against It All, Fishbone, Bad Religion, Blue Meanies, etc... but, I distinctly remember hearing Santa Monica- several of us kinda made eye contact and made the "huh? What's this?" face. 😏 Good times, better friends, and some of the best music, came outta that time period (93' - 98').

I don't think I have ever seen you so tight and in the pocket as with this song! Dang! I had to watch you three, times, on this cover! Love the almost instantaneous crash and muffle on your left crash!
The sound of those drums is aural poetry! Crisp yet richly resonating tonality. Like a fresh, creamy cheesecake on a crunchy biscuit base 😂. Beautiful!
