First time grower and fellow FoCo resident. Thank you for your videos they have been really helpful. I think that my best investment other than the obvious (tent, lights, etc) is a thermostat plug for my heater - with the Colorado evenings getting cooler it keeps my garage tent at the right temperature 24/7. The worst - cheap moisture meters. They were telling me that my plant was fine but the poor lady was dying of thirst.

We run three tents. 2 3x3s and 4x4. The 3x3s have one with Mars TS 3000 and the other a no name 320 led. The 4x4 has an AC Infinity 720 With an 8 inch exhaust. That yielded 2 lbs without CO2. We use and re-use our coco perlite which we buffered ourselves from bricks, sold locally. The no name 3x3 gave me 12 oz and I had to pull one plant for being male. It’s performed flawlessly for numerous grows. We run 9l Hempy Buckets with Jacks run at 4-2-.5. There’s pictures in Real Grow Lab. Inexpensive, effective and foolproof. JM2¢
Scotty, always right on Point. My best advice is to join a group like DGC or Westport's Posse. Then as a new grower, your learning from other people's wins and losses
I began by watching lots of YT videos and feel I wasted time trying to mimic all those growers styles. I see the value in shared knowledge, but really started learning when I actually started growing, with both successes and many problems and even failures. I'm now growing my way from what I've experienced and although still a beginner have begun to grow some nice plants. I still watch videos, but there's nothing compared to actually growing your own. Plus, it's fun and I love the varying genetics you can grow.
I’m a first time grower and transplanting my plants into “dummy soil” has been one of my better decisions. BuildASoil 3.0 made here in Colorado isn’t cheap, but my plants seem to love it.
Im really close with the owners of my local dispo, and during 420 or harvest fest events they host they showcase their grow mediums. Id really like to see if they'd sell me a yard or two of their soil and mulch blend. Because they got some wonderful stuff, even if i get a handful just to use as an innoculant.
Wow, here I go again, Scotty. I just ordered 4x4 fully loaded . 2 in the morning, watching so much . Notes from the stash are cool also its hard, which way do I go . 😂😂😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 I have you recipie yes ill have a Scotty plant I'll try the white widow I'm in soil. Ok thanks dude I hope one day we 😅
Don't be like me. I spent $1,000 on 5 lights, close to $1,000 in different nutrients, 3 tents, a $400 PAR meter, an $250 pH kit, 5 different pot types, tried most mediums (3 different FoxFarm, HP Pro mix, coco, rockwool, clay pellets, even bought a hydro setup) I ended up using 2 $50 Earthboxes and making my own soil, using a $300 300-watt Maxsisun light in a $100 3x3 tent. With this cheap setup I grow 1 pound every three months. $500 +soil. The Earthboxes are SIPs so I don't need to worry about under or overwatering. I amend each box after a grow is done and I plant right back into it the day I chop if I want.
Here’s what I’ve been using to grow- organic soil from Walmart, peat moss, perlite, worm casting and bone meal and lime. Also for fertilizer I’m using hydro grow, flourish and bloom. I have buds the size of pop cans. Also if the fertilizer doesn’t come in a kit then you need to switch your fertilizer company for companies that sale it as a kit
Fox farms has been a pretty safe bet in my experience, plus they do have kits and great schedules too. I did my first ever grow this year with a bunch of stuff i already had on hand, but am gonna give their kit whirl next season (i currently only do outdoor). So far with one grow mostly under my belt at the moment, i cant necessarily complain about the results. In fact im quite happy.
Carbon filter helps, we use a mixture of 50% Coco with added cal mag to the water to rehydrate it, 25% fox farm ocean forest soil, 5% pro mix, 10% perlite, 10% Mother Nature soil…… but we use synthetics tho
After reading that pesticides were found in dispensaries bud that had been banned in the sixties convinced me to grow. Turns out weed is excellent at cleaning up the soil, proven at previous apple orchards now split up and leased to cannabis growers. Biggest advantage, mine was better!
Caramelo here(1st strain i grew) and im growing inside an semi finished small room. We have low humidity here inside and I have the grow area covered in reflective foil. I have garden string holding the plant/buds up.(probably going to switch to bamboo rods) i do need to set up a seperate germinating/veging area. My 1st plant(i have grown and rooted a couple clones but not to maturity) is about ready to harvest at the end of September/beginning of October. In about 3 weeks at most I'll flush it out with tap water and when its ready 2 weeks after ill dry it in the same room. There's a cieling fan to help my regular fan circulate the air. I've pretty mutch gon as getto as i can with my grow and i have had some issues ive had to address like took mutch water/nutrients. Lots still to learn but its happening slow but sure. Good luck to all you fellow getto growers
recharge coco coir and grow dots round three on the system working great . next run in real buckets too to disabled to make them . thanks for making the system man
I love the AC Infinity tents but when it comes to lights, there really isn’t a better bang for your buck than Mars Hydro. Their 1,000w LM301H light is $100 cheaper than the same one from AC Infinity. Aside from that, I love AC Infinity’s products. I started my indoor grow journey with Vivosun’s products. Still love them, still have most of my old Vivosun gear but I agree that AC Infinity, for the most part, makes superior gear. My biggest gripe with AC Infinity is their absurd shipping prices. Most manufacturers or retailers offer free shipping, even if it only is after you spend x amount of dollars, but AC Infinity doesn’t and their shipping prices are bad. Real bad. So I only order from them whenever they have free shipping events going on, usually around holidays.
Free shipping on orders over $99 for items less than that I buy them through Amazon and bypass the shipping charges that way I’ve spent close to 3k and never paid a penny in shipping
Are you saying I can switch to canna coco. Use Canna A and Canna B, and as long as I keep my temp, humidity and lights as solid as they have been, I would be good to go? I ask because I have tried all sorts of stuff and I've seen what I spend. I'd like to be using less products. I've also seen issues getting gaia products from time to time. I am a standard gaia green. Hp promix grower. I run spiderfarmer lights with proper Ppd as well as a temp running between 70 and 78 between lights on and off. Humidity hovers 55 percent. I do make things chilly the last week or two for flowering Would the Canna Coco, Canna A and B, cover what I'm already doing with a simpler, cheaper process? I would also keep using the recharge as I do now.
I am not sure of the price of Gaia Green so I don't know which is cheaper but when I moved to Colorado I was setup with Coco and Canna A and B and I can tell you it is very easy to use.
I just bought a ‘refillable’ AC Infinity charcoal filter. But honestly, I have stuff from AC Infinity (filter and waffle fan), Spider Farmer (duct fan and oscillating fan) and Mars Hydro (light). My tent is a Phlizon and has lasted at least 10 cycles with no issues. I have had issues with cheap fans, not worth it. Anything I get from the big 3 above is good quality. You pay a good price but get decent quality. Scotty, I grow in Coco as well, use Advanced Nutrients. I fell for the ‘booster’ crap and that is what I got for results. Went back to just a single set of base nutrients (and Cal Mag of course) and my harvest was smaller but the quality was some of the best I’ve grown yet. The other thing is never to use as much as the nutrient company tells you to use. 1/2 label strength is a good starting point. Sometimes I use less.
Gambit Bud Bunker. Second time I’ve suggested them, if they are watching then I’d be happy to test a 4x4 Bud bunker lol. Giving AC Info out a run for their $$. Canvas is as thick, accessories and tents made by growers themselves. Just something to look at for sure.
So this past week I got a tent, light, vent system, controller, fan and your realgrow bucket system with the grow dots. I plan to make my first grow as non complicated and touch free as possible. Now with this video, I found my medium. Time to order canna coco. And a humidifier I think. It'll be in my air/heat controlled attachrd garage. I'll have to see if it's over or under and plug up accordingly.
What size package of recharge do I need for a 3 gallon pot? It’s my first grow ever and the initial set up broke my bank so I don’t have a lot of money. Is the smallest $9.95 one enough?
IDK... ACI is higher priced equipment. Hard to save money buying the most expensive brands... I've had cheap lights and tents last for years. IMO, if you're just getting into growing - stay small and stay cheap. Growing pot takes work and time. The first thing you want to learn is, are you willing to put in that work and time? Many are not and end up selling their equipment on FB marketplace at a loss. Once you know you like it and are ready to do the work - spend away.
I'd like to see a better zipper used and all zippers need to have a flaps over them, I've noticed the side doors do leak light through the zippers on side doors of the larger tents
AC Infinity tents are worth the money. They have quality zippers that will last and they are made thicker. Lights and fans can be bought cheaper. I personally do not have any AC Infinity equipment and nobody's complaining.
Running ac infinity 4x4 with 6 inch exhaust ,2 clip on fans, and migro's 5x5 array light with uvb, best setup Ive invested in,plus using fox farms happy frog with heavy dose of grow dots with recharge. Plants are in heaven.
You said the other day about Lady bugs I went on holidays for just over 3 weeks left a friend to water I mixed up my water before I left that was week 5 when I got back there was webbing everywhere not one leaf wasn't sucked dry I think they must of been there in small numbers but by week 9 flower they were really thick if I ordered lady bugs by the time I got them I would have a week at most to harvest but my buds were so thick with Web I just pulled my 22 plants out and buried them in my compost there was so many mites it was not worth it not one leaf left
Newer grower question… if you have a sealed environment do you need an intake fan to go with the exhaust fan? I keep hearing about the carbon filter exhaust but never really much about intake. I bought both but I’m unsure if I need the intake or not? I know the tents have the ports but I don’t usually see video of if they have an intake fan or just the open port.
@@wadeirwin7003 so say I had built a grow room by hand.. I’ve sealed it completely, should I just cut out a bottom “port” hole and cover it with a filter? The air will be pulling from directly outdoors.
Over watering is the biggest mistake in my opinion. I suggest new growers just get 2 pots one with soil that is totally dry and one that has the plant in it. To judge the weight easier.
Respect and good day to you. Using Gaia Green or dry amendments in general. Do i follow the method of watering when the pot is light when i lift it or do i keep the soul moist (not wet) for the microbial life???
Not equipment related but over vegging! Don't over veg. Newbies always veg too long! If you are new just grow your plants a foot tall and flip. You need xp to grow a proper bush.
I did hate Coco. Then I learned that it’s a dosage issue. There’s no denying the drainage and air capacity is great. But I like a little bit of peace up in that bitch. That’s why I like KINGS MIX. It has a good blend. I don’t find myself overwatering as much as when I used the fox farms forest mix
I am currently annoyed with AC infinity humidifier. I’m sure it’s my own fault somehow I guess. But I’ve never had this many problems with the humidifier as this little one. Very temperamental.
Reach out to them and have your manual handy. I read the manual multiple times, took someone pointing out some obvious stuff over the phone for mine to be my favorite humidifier.
I'm horrible using coco. I always over water and have a tendency to get my ph wrong with it. Frustrating to say the least. I'll stick to my hydro or super soil
@@kevinbaker2620 how is this possible? It’s nearly impossible to overwater in coco and it’s a natural PH buffer? You trolling? Try coco with GH 16ml bloom/ 8ml micro p/gl whole grow. DON’T adjust the PH. Doesn’t get easier and impossible to fuck up. You can adjust accordingly afterwards if you feel necessary.
I started in the ac infinity 2x2 compact grow, added the s16 bar lights and a vivosun high CFM kit and mounted the bars on them. first grow was a 6.5 ounce sour diesel autoflower. spent the next year growing other autos from a 3 pack I got from ilgm. now im growing another SD and holy crap its a monster! all I have to recommend is to not grow sativa in a 4foot high tent XD even with extreme LST and a trellis its more than half way up the tent now
scotty sounds snotty....you got the covids bro? 😁 serious question: how can you add Co2 to a tent with an exhaust fan?🤔 edit: shoulda waited to ask....
My old recharge station plastic tub is still growing strong, I just keep refilling with the bag, but that plastic pail is the shit!!!!! Label is faded af but what is inside is still fire
I hate to say this, but I think my biggest waste of money are always on beneficial insects. It actually makes anything worse because I can’t actually just treat my plants because I had put the insects on them. But how many of those inserts were even alive?
you don't need a light you don't need a tent the only things you need is a place, seeds and around 12 hours of light from the sun nothing else trust me
@@truthonly7699 too stoned to read? around 12 hours, damn. and who cares as long as it produces flower. also this only Applies to Photo sensitive plants so please Educate yourself :)
@@truthonly7699 not always true. my 3 autos flowered at different times and were put out in 13/11. I transplanted into 3 different pot sizes. Some autos also seem to want to get pot bound to trigger, or the biggest one was waiting for 12/12 like a photo (dinafem wwxxl auto).
Wasted money buying fans meant for a grow room, not a grow tent. Also wasted money on root stimulator and some other nutrients that plant didn’t really need as much as it needed to be transplanted into a bigger pot.

Just go organic too many issues and mind boggling stuff growing synthetic !! It’s more work keeping it consistent, ph, ec, ect , living soil I’ve found and much easier to get it right first time just water it , temp and humidity and airflow and light next then co2 if you want more from the grow , less things to worry about for a new grower , dry amendments and recharge and your winning ,
I have a $60 tent and a $80 light and my stuff is turning out pretty good

Only thing i cant seem to ever afford, is the fuckin exhaust system for the tent.
I dont worry about smell...enclosed room
Not equipment related but over vegging! Don't over veg. Newbies always veg too long! If you are new just grow your plants a foot tall and flip. You need xp to grow a proper bush.
Agree! Of course the caveat is pot size! ✌🏻
If you want bigger fruits you need bigger roots tarts why 100% need supercharge :) Finally I can buy in europa and I wait to see results :)
@@MotoZom-B Yeah, maybe I’ll do that! Thanks. I would like it to be my favorite.
what problem are you having?
I'm horrible using coco. I always over water and have a tendency to get my ph wrong with it. Frustrating to say the least. I'll stick to my hydro or super soil
@@kevinbaker2620 how is this possible? It’s nearly impossible to overwater in coco and it’s a natural PH buffer? You trolling? Try coco with GH 16ml bloom/ 8ml micro p/gl whole grow. DON’T adjust the PH. Doesn’t get easier and impossible to fuck up. You can adjust accordingly afterwards if you feel necessary.
I started in the ac infinity 2x2 compact grow, added the s16 bar lights and a vivosun high CFM kit and mounted the bars on them. first grow was a 6.5 ounce sour diesel autoflower. spent the next year growing other autos from a 3 pack I got from ilgm. now im growing another SD and holy crap its a monster! all I have to recommend is to not grow sativa in a 4foot high tent XD even with extreme LST and a trellis its more than half way up the tent now
I wish my tent would sag. I gotta fight my dry tent . It seems like it’s always 10 pounds of shit in a 5 pound bag
scotty sounds snotty....you got the covids bro? 😁
serious question: how can you add Co2 to a tent with an exhaust fan?🤔
edit: shoulda waited to ask....
My old recharge station plastic tub is still growing strong, I just keep refilling with the bag, but that plastic pail is the shit!!!!! Label is faded af but what is inside is still fire
Those were great, but not great to ship and store. 😂
I hate to say this, but I think my biggest waste of money are always on beneficial insects. It actually makes anything worse because I can’t actually just treat my plants because I had put the insects on them. But how many of those inserts were even alive?
you don't need a light you don't need a tent the only things you need is a place, seeds and around 12 hours of light from the sun nothing else trust me
with only 12 hours of sun your plants go to flower right away leaving you with a one foot tall plant.
The smallest one was ready 2 months ago, the medium one has just finished drying and the largest one still has a few weeks. Some autos also seem to want to get pot bound to trigger, or the biggest one was waiting for 12/12 like a photo (dinafem wwxxl auto).
Survived another hurricane that makes about 40 of them lmao. ❤ ✌ 👍 .keep it simple .
Wasted money buying fans meant for a grow room, not a grow tent. Also wasted money on root stimulator and some other nutrients that plant didn’t really need as much as it needed to be transplanted into a bigger pot.
Indoors straight coco with Lucas. Easy peasy. Impossible to fuck up. Outside straight TLO with teas.
My equipment has lasted for God knows how long. You can repair most things.
i think new growers pussy there plants lol after the 3rd week of veg i push hard till the girls are at 2 1/2 feet tall 5 gallon organic then leaf strip trimming the legs 🦵3erd day filp 12 12 let the stretching begin and then go hard for 6 weeks then 7 8 9 i chill 😎 for them to tell me lol.. thanks to all at the DGC 🎉 and the growing community
Just go organic too many issues and mind boggling stuff growing synthetic !! It’s more work keeping it consistent, ph, ec, ect , living soil I’ve found and much easier to get it right first time just water it , temp and humidity and airflow and light next then co2 if you want more from the grow , less things to worry about for a new grower , dry amendments and recharge and your winning ,
You ever top dress with that stuff??,, oh man!!
Are you ruining your last 3weeks of flowers with Co2?
Climate control..being able to control light, temperature, and humidity through the cycle.
buying tools at harbor freight is like going to mcdonalds to eat
You forgot a flat brimmed fitted hat! How can you grow weed without the right costume? Jeez
