- Here is an updated tutorial on how I do my perm rod set on dry, stretched hair! I let my hair air dry for 2 days once I put in the perm rods. When applying the rods, I make sure the rods are laying towards the front of my face for the full fro look.
The products I used are:
5 packs of the teal colored perm rods
rat tail comb
detangling brush
Texture ID foam
Prose hair oil

I’ve always tried it on wet hair, but I hate the shrinkage. I’m definitely going to try the stretched hair method. It came out really bomb. Thanks for sharing! You are gorgeous btw!

Maybe that’s what I need to do instead of doing it on wet hair. My hair slips off and won’t stay on the rod so i end up getting frustrated and just giving up

It certainly came out gorgeous. I’ve used perm rods before but on wet hair, as you said the shrinkage is real 🤣. I look forward to more tutorials such as this and open to makeup tutorials as well. Keep them coming I certainly appreciate it. You are the first natural I’ve found with low porosity.

this came out PERFECT 😍! I followed this to a T, i used Lotta Body Mouse. It was reverting my hair 😩 but i kept going! Hopefully it turns out as perfect as yours did! Thanks for the tutorial!

LOVE the results. This is one of my favorite styles but I promise I can’t pull it off. Getting perm rods this weekend and giving it a try. I think I may have to get the paper to go on the ends because my hair is super curly and slips out no matter how I try and get the ends to grab and stay on the rod
