The problem is that, next time I use the car, the knob is default dead. In order to activate the mirror function, the knob has to be turned to R every f… time.
Most vehicles that have this feature don't require that you first select the right side mirror before putting the vehicle in reverse. Answered my question before I even asked it.
I am driving a 2023 Pro S Plus from the dealership while my ID.4 is in for the recalls. I will see if I can make it work. Don't forget to activate it on the main Infotainment screen as well.
@@fastgolfr32 That’s great! You are actually getting 300 miles per full charge in eco drive mode. I got my iD.4 a week ago. A full charge consistently shows over 300 miles and I have been concerned about VW’s software reliability. Thank you for your feedback on real life experience. It’s a great EV overall.
@@victorthierry7153 My first two weeks also showed as much as 420 miles at 100% .. This happens until you drive your first 300 miles and recharge several times on fast chargers. This is normal practice in new cars of this plan. After that you will always see 80% - 204-215 miles and 100% about 260 miles.
Still relevant for my new ID3. Thank you 🙂
Many thanks. I wasn’t able to figure out how it works for a while
Thanks for the demo. I had this function in my Passat and glad to see it's here, too.
Great tip. Wondering if both side mirror can tilt down while backing up. Just got mine last Saturday 10/23. Still learning the tech in the car.

If this does not work the first time, check your mirrors settings to be sure the function is not turned off. Mine was.
How about the left mirror?
Awesome
Side view mirror.
I have a MUCH more important question - how the heck did you get to 331 miles of range, when I top out at 250 miles ??!!??
Asking the real question 👍
mine is 2023 Pro S but couldn’t make this work. US model

Why is the battery range showing 331 miles? The iD.4 is supposed to have a range of 250.
I have been averaging around 300 miles per 100% charge. Getting 3.6miles/kwh economy over 3600 miles so far. I see 4.0 a lot.

Id4 pro can’t do it right?
Been trying for a few minutes now on Pro. Doesn't seem to work...
