That was great, it answered most of the questions I had about our recent performance issue.

Nathan is the tactical genius, Bardi masters the pathos, but this pod wouldn't be the same without the presence and calmness of Windy 💘

    Brilliant analysis Nathan.
The need for at least one 1v1 specialist has been apparent for a pretty long time now.
I also think this profile of player would help us sustain pressure in the final third longer and help us when teams try and press us too.
I think sustaining pressure in the final third will help us reduce the amount of counter attacks teams have against us and help us defensively.
We should go for it and sign both Nico Williams and Pedro Neto in the summer imo. We should have the funds especially if we make a few sales.

If we were prepared to spend the money, Kvarva and Mitoma.

Good analysis. However in this game, Udogie and Porto being out severely hamper our ability to stretch teams, since both can stay wide even though they tend to underlap more often that not.
Solomon being out is also potentially hurting us, as a player who can beat his man. But we haven’t seen enough of him to know exactly what his quality could be for us.
We’ve lacked a truly dribbly boi going all the way back to the Poch era… I know they’re at a premium in world football at the moment, but it feels like that’s the last position to making us world class.

This is why losing Manor Solomon and Ivan Perisic to injury was such a huge blow to Ange.
