Great stuff as always! Appreciate the visual aids from the podcast commentary
Once again Bardi underused. Let the man preach.
Windy looks like a proper egg.
Only a slight subtitle typo around 8:10 with Romero 'bullwatching' Love the video guys 👍👍
I dont think people realise what a difficult pass that is to do too
Spurs players are always moving. That's the key. Even sitting deep Spurs will find away to get through.
Hahaha you guys won't finish in top 6
Helps that it's Man U, not a good team
Lads it's Man U.
I’ve been listening to you guys on podcast for ages - excellent - never miss one ! Great to actually put faces to your voices ! Keep up the great work 👍
Hmm arsenal did a decent job pressing them the other week
@@DaveTough-d4k No, they sat back

@@jamesperez8083 thing is there’s no point pressing if the opposition can’t do anything with it when they have the ball. Sadly I think the big chances metric tells that story
Arsenal did nothing lol They played like fussiesss
@@wishvakrish3583 I mean they scored a goal and won the game? Can’t really say they did nothing
Bro its united.... Chill.
This gives me a heart attack tbf. Little worried about the team, which is great at pressing like Bayern and City.
Bayern we already know the outcome after 2 games pre season
@@QuotidianStupidity VDV and Romero was missing an Benta. Think Bayern scored form a mistake by Vic miss placing a ball to Spence. Bayern didn't outplay Spurs.
United press one of the worst in the league no? Think most other coaches have this style figured out atp
Literally did everything right. The pass and touch was just too good...
Boys, completely agree re Son, however, where were you for the Everton match?? He was terrible there too, he scored 2 goals got MOM but it was bull. Repeatedly lost ball, attacks broke down, usual stuff. Drop Son: Spence as left forward... him and Udogie are perfect compliment. He's far better at hold-up than Son, bigger stronger, brave, has Deli like flicks. I had thought him for the right but tbh, it's 'out with the old' time. Son needs to be reassigned. Spence has X factor, need to nurture and enhance him toward pivotal role in first team.
Nathan this green screen set up and the general set up of the video is really excellent!
Recruitment? But isn't he the manager who has final say? Respectfully, how much did way pay for Johnson?
Punt Ange and bring a guy in who. can fix the defence...Son/Dom up front...3 at the back....Porro/doggie proper wingbacks NOT inverting and a midfield who attack and defend in numbers with madO with enough space to create. The players are good enough to do a lot better.Throw away the first ten from last season and TH were a mid table team.Throw away the Everton game(3 points to every team) and Spurs have scored one genuine goal and are in relegation territory...SORRY for the dose of reality but that the way we are Mates!
Is there any chance Ange is giving Johnson/Son that last chance to show they can carry out his plans, before moving on to the likes of Odobert and Moore? Unlikely with Son I guess, but possibly with Johnson. I would like to see an early Poch-style renewal with some of the younger players given minutes. Carabao and Europa give the chance to look at a few of these (though please no more than 3-4 changes per game!)
Wish I could like this video more than once
Jota did it for Ange at Celtic…
Personally I think Maddison is a massive issue for us. He is devoid of form since coming back from his injury and another playing on 'Name Value' over Bergwall.
Out of curiosity, what type of games would you start Son in? Would he be an impact sub only?
its nonsense anyways son always starts. i think he misspoke odobert should be starting over brennan johnson he can play RW he'd never start over son. Why did we not get a elite winger when the thing spurs most DESPERATELY NEEDED WAS A FUCKING RIGHT WINGER. It was obviously ourt weakest position and yet we did nothing to address it, HOW. Bergvall and Yang are useless players that are not ready for the premier league, archie gray isn't even getting game time and is a bench youngster not even a starter, we still have ZERO powerful DM's which is especially crucial given we play a high line and overall our defensive stats are fucking shit and porro is not a defensive minded player. Spurs transfer window was absolutely pathetic, the only thing we achieved was a new striker and that's the only smart transfer the rest are complete gambles. I'd start manor solomon over brennan.
Could the full backs not be the dribbly boys going down the outside? And the wingers tuck in? Is overlapping full backs too traditional and boring for Ange? I don't know if Udogie and Porro are up to the job, but Son and Johnson definitely aren't so we have to try something different.
odobert should be starting over brennan that's for starters. brennan johnson is a joke his end product is horreible, at least timo werner can put in a good cross. brennan should be an impact substituion late in the game only where he can use his great pace against tired legs. udogie is not good enough on the ball to do 1 on 1's but porro I'd say. inverted wingers is good but we have ZERO strong defensive mids. I'd rather recall manor solomon and start him over brennan johnson.
"Name value" is not the reason Odobert doesn't start over Son. Dribbles are not the only thing required from a wide player, even in this system.
Agreed. Son didn't play great yesterday but I would back him to score a hat trick over any non-Solanke forward to score a single goal.
@@mvjbass9561 Agreed

Thing is unless he has space to work with Son is pretty useless atm. Hardly takes on his man, makes simple passes and rarely shoots. Still the best finisher in the squad by a mile so hard to drop him, but against teams that sit deep I genuinely think Odobert would be better for team balance on the left cos he can actually beat his man out wide. Like 80% of Son's goals last season came when he played as a striker anyway - he's always been pretty ineffective on the left under Ange.
@@skander5938 Except I haven't gone far, where have I exaggerated? Honestly. I'm also a little disturbed by the fact you don't know who Yang is but we bought him from the Korean league and he plays on the wing, he's a son "replacement" but mostly there to please our Korean fan base. You gotta know this bruv
Spurs hired a new coach who coached set pieces as well as other aspects on the pitch. Full stop.
Exclamation point!
Why isn't there more videos like this on youtube. Great video👍
Yes
Personally i think was sick of the same obvious question that why he responded the way he did. I think they were alway going to get a set pieces coach or specialist. Even corners has been a bit different too. Now they only need a scoring coach.
No
Is this the sort of content you're producing for your Patreons? It's very good.
Honestly, no. This polished stuff ends up here. The stuff on Patreon are the raw two hour streams of working through footage to gather the information.
I wasn’t ready for this production value. I feel overstimulated
Thank you Nathan, very cool
I’m not a patreon so no idea if this is what the content is like behind the paywall but really do appreciate the occasional TEI vid appearing here!
Set piece special, nice, nice
This is so different and unique than a majority of spurs content. Keep it up!
love the show! keep it up guys
Solid work...👍🏻
Great vid, love the graphics to add to your analysis
really appreciate this type of video that outlines what y'all are talking about with visuals
Hey Nathan, quick question for you. If you knew we'd be bringing in a replacement, would you be up for selling Brennan Johnson to Brentford or one of those lower mid-table Premier League clubs for 35-40 million quid?
He can be frustrating but he's a v useful profile to have. Werner only here on loan. Son getting old.
@@TheExtraInch"SELL SON AND KULUSEVSKI ...well Johnson is a handy profile to have, I'd be hesitant to sell him"
@@TheExtraInch I wonder if Johnson's future in the Ange system is backup number 9 after Richarlison inevitably leaves. He was more of a 9/RW hybrid in the past and he's clearly not got the necessary traits to be a touchline winger (dribbling, crossing, cutting inside to shoot or pass)
Brilliant work clipping these condensed tactics videos out. Easier to digest and can send to fellow Spurs I’m close with who may not be intrigued by longer form tactics discussion!
What headphones are these?
Philips Fidelio X2HR. I recommend.
@@TheExtraInch nice thanks. Open back? Just got a new closed back and in the market for a new open
@@LordOishi Yes opens. I don't like being so unaware of my surroundings haha.
Flat Cap Windy is the best Windy!
Excuse me for my stupidity if I’m wrong But Sarr and Udogie will be U21’s according to the bottom of that Prem article “ born on or after January 2002” Sarr is born September 2002… Udogie even younger right… someone please! Either tell me I’m wrong or that these guys made a mistake
That pronunciation of David Hancko was dreadful 😂 and he’s not balkan
Isn't Murillo the total dream cover LCB/LB/No6.
Lacks the athleticism, I think.
@@TheExtraInch Maybe so, I couldn't definitively say otherwise but he makes a good impression to me. Athletically I thought he'd be able, it's the spacial awareness as No6 which ofc is always the big question. Hope Biss gets a tag team buddy anyway.. No6 twice a week, every week! Yikes. Great stuff guys, thanks for reply.
Great effort though lads, I think Son should only be an emergency striker. Personally think we need to keep Richarlison and add another striker.
Feel selling Kulusevski weakens us and would be a massive mistake.
