The 'rainbow flag' represents special privileges for gays, criminalizing speech that contradicts radical leftist propaganda, surgical/drug mutilation of children without parental consent, and more. I grew up in the 80s. I never knew who my teachers voted for.
One of my high school teachers in the 80s would say something about President Reagan like about his age when he was talking about our past President's ages. I loved President Reagan. This teacher should be fired.

In all my years in school I never knew the politics of one High School teacher.

My son in second grade was anxious about the election because the teacher was asking who their parents might vote for ,my son asked me several times who I was voting for and said it is a private decision, me and him never talked about politics he’s only 7 years old , truly unprofessional and disgusting behavior for a second grade teacher

My father was a school principal for over 50 years and my mother was an english teacher including ESL for 40 years, Neither would EVER talk about their own politics in a school setting despite my Dad being a liberal and mom being conservative. I had an incident with a school bus driver. My son was getting on the bus to come home and a younger boy he played around with was sitting in the front seat. As my son entered the boy stood up and play kicked at my son. My son reached out and put his hand on top of the boys head and pushed him back down in his seat and walked on down the aisle. The driver got up and grabbed my son by the arm and shouted at him. My son jerked his arm away and told the driver to keep his hands off of him. He grabbed my son again and my son again jerked his arm clear and they had words. My son came home and told me what had happened. My son was 12 the other student was 6. I met the bus the next morning and told the driver if he put his hands on my son again he would have me to deal with. The driver reported our conversation and they transferred him to another route. The driver was also a preacher at a local church. Two months later the driver was yelling at some of the kids while driving and wrecked the bus. No one was injured but th driver was fired over the wreck.

Some teachers have been fired outright simply for refusing to use "pronouns" which is not even a serious ground for termination. But this teacher who treated the student like a criminal by calling security just because of a hat and he is just "facing some disciplinary actions". With that kind of behavior, he should not be allowed near children.

As long as the process involves creating wholly new State level education boards; every single teacher can be fired and forced to reapply with the new education boards. They will have no union contracts with the new boards and the new boards can simply refuse to hire any teacher for "reasons" - of course, each teacher being hired will have to go under a lengthy review process; teachers from known leftwing cult mills - I mean universities - can be black listed, etc.

Give him some slack. It’s in the nature of both parties to become unhinged when things don’t go their way. People are always very upset after elections. I say create a nationwide policy where no employees can be fired within a week of the elections. There has to be room for emotional reactions. It doesn’t mean that the teacher can’t be disciplined for treating kids badly, and he’s already lost his good standing with the students and faculty. Let him stew over that social outcasting and learn from it, but don’t attack his job. You guys are too bloodthirsty.

Really, and what would dissolving the Department of Education accomplish except make it that much harder to get any sort of public education in this country? I can confidently say that the entire school shooting phenomenon is the result of nihilist philosophy and the removal of Christianity as the cultural standard. It was way easier to get guns in every decade before the 90s, which is when school shootings became a regular occurrence. Don’t pretend to care if you contribute to the problem.

I’m a liberal teacher in CA. When Trump ran in the 2016 election, I had an 11th grader with a Trump bumper sticker on his folder. Many people were already bothered by Trump’s rhetoric at that point. Some students complained to me about it. Even though I didn’t love it, I said he had the right to have the sticker.
