- As a five-time National Champion in Puerto Rico, Prichard was a rising star in the boxing world. In October 2015, Prichard sustained illegal hits during a boxing match and suffered a traumatic brain injury.
Prichard was unresponsive for a year and a half. He came to Brooks Rehabilitation Orange Park Outpatient Clinic in February 2018 for the Brooks Rehabilitation Alternative Voices (BRAV) Program.

referee was sleeping i guess. other than warnings, he was doing nothing until the player was seriously injured.

The referee who failed in this fight as well as the doctor at ringside should be banned for life in any sports capacity or involvement 😡💔

He is in Full rehab but still he can't get his memory back unfortunately so doctors say however it might be possible in the future. The future technology could possibly get his memory back.
However I watched a video about someone with the same condition that actually recovered fully somehow so all we can do is pray for him.
Really so sad. Terrell Williams hit him repeatedly behind the head. An illegal shot, yet has never been held accountable.

my heart goes out to this warrior. To have a soul, a power and will to fight the way he did, and have it be trapped up inside a body that no longer listens..... any fellow fighter can understand how frustrating and terrifying living like that would be.

So, an illegal hit is only in the back of the head? Ignorance is rampant. The most vulnerable spot in your head is the temple. The middle meningeal artery is located there and the skull is thinnest there. One blow can give you an epidural hematoma--fast arterial bleeding right above the brain that often kills you. Additionally, boxers are known for another type of bleeding: subdural hematomas. Boxing is not safe. He risked his life every time regardless of where his opponent punched him. The physician was paid to keep the fight going; he doesn't care about the boxer. Waiting for him to just "shake it off," shows his incompetence.

I was punched behind the head in a fight. I was subjected to two strong punches, so my head started burning and hurting, but I didn't feel dizzy or anything. It's been 5 days now and I'm confused. Brooks rehabilitation, you should consider changing this font to one that doesn’t blur out when it’s fading. It is uncomfortable to look at and you may be reaching other people with brain injuries. Not sure why you thought a font like this was a good idea.
