    We should teach everyone to say NO to plastic chainsaws.

    Did you find you had to tune the carb afterwards?
    How much more torque do you feel it may have gained?

    I have a 271 I do want to do a muffler mod to mine but not as much as you did lol but did you have to re adjust the carb after this. And can it mess the saw up just wondering.

      Yes you do it will not hurt to do that you don't want it to run lean

    If you done 1 hole on top and didn’t do the other 3 on the bottom it would have been a lot better

    What is that orange part under the saw? A case/gas tank saver?

    Yes the sound comes across the audio it sounds good, although i feel you almost certainly lost power from that.

    Did you stick with the modded muffler? I wonder if it affected the exhaust scavenging that the 2-stroke needs, it is possible that the mod has reduced your power.

      No I ordered a stock one, it was way to loud

      It was just too loud, I really didn’t notice a big gain. Went back with a stock muffler a couple weeks later.

    Why don't you just cut the muffler in half that way you can see the piston moving up and down when it's running. There's a good saw gone to waste because of stupidity

    • @larryreno8293
      @larryreno8293 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kelly Ronaghan nothing like a lean burn down of the piston!

    • @larryreno8293
      @larryreno8293 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kelly Ronaghan The engine tends to run lean with a open exhaust port/ mod muffler. Sometimes it will just melt the piston... Like you said, good saw gone to waste.

    • @kylebrown8891
      @kylebrown8891 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      This is redundant. By opening up the muffler and tuning you have less of a chance of melting the piston down. From the factory these mufflers are designed to meet emissions. To do that they need heat. By opening up the muffler you are letting the heat out. A simple muffler mod and re tune can make a saw twice the saw it was.
