Trivium has a little problem with holding on to drummers. And alex, the latest one, is superb! Loved by the fans and everyone's hoping he does not leave the band (or got disbanded).
Some bands uses (for example) orchestras for their new albums or such things to keep evolving their style.
Trivium just keeps their (actual/new) drummer. And they're doing good with this! Cause the albums getting better and better! :)

No idea why Trivium get the hate they do. This song (and album by extension) are just fantastic. For me they hit the sweet spot on the last album but this is still just as great. If any of the band read this I hope you know you're crushing it. Thanks for staying metal \m/
If someone didn't dig Sin and the Sentence, then they don't dig Trivium and probably won't dig this record. They get hate for attitudes they used to have back in 2006, yet people never cared to listen their best stuff

It’s Trivium
Trivium is one of the few metal bands I've liked since their inception (of the end). Somehow they've balanced trying new things without selling out. Not an easy tightrope to walk.
And upkeep on a drummer supply I'm mean they power through them this is the first they've kept a drummer for two albums in almost six years

I'm seeing some comments saying "I don't understand the hate Trivium gets." What hate? The vast majority of places you'll see praise for Trivium and that's mostly been like that for the last twelve years. I guess maybe some D-rate bands who troll other bands on Twitter hate them, but they've been slaying hard in the Metal category for years. And this takes them back to the Shogun days.

Metal elitist hate them for the quick rise from Ascendancy and then the disappointment follow up of The Crusade. After Crusade, the elitists labeled Trivium a shitty band and never gave them a second chance, even after their masterpiece album, Shogun.

@@blakerogers9600 gotta disagree. I feel like I hear a little bit of Crusade in the prechorus. The backing vocals sound a similar style to Anthem's chorus. And the In Waves sound definitely hits you in the face, but I don't feel Shogun is as prominent as others. A lot of this song sounds like a similar style to When All Light Dies

To all my fellow guitar players, the song is played on a 6 string. you dont need a 7 string to play this song all the way through! First song so far thats exclusively a 6 string played song.
