i gotta argue this one. Cease all your fire was kinda best, matt heard it in his dream in japanese language before he wrote it. It also sounds mega japanese with those guitars. I don't remember right now tho all of them, but surely it was one of best. i do like this one too :)

Ascendency sound too like bfmv beacuse genre are metalcore,bfmv is too metalcore,sound it's similar like bfmv and like ascendency album :D
It is overall very much like early to mid 2000s metalcore, in which both BFMV and Ascendancy fit the bill. My first thought was The Poison by BFMV, definitely also a throwback to the Ascendancy style.

Trivium is the 21st century band that is awesome to the point that they totally deserve to bear the torch passed by the old titans of metal, like Metallica.

My favorite song of the (AMAZING) new album along with Amongst the shadows and the stones. Trivium is so outrageously talented, inspired and consistent, what a band. This album is a journey, so many feelings, so many styles and yet the quality is through the roof. Alex Bent is GODSEND.

I think this is an outstanding song. I think “The Revanchist” is my favorite on the new LP. It’s transcendent, and watching the drum playthrough with Alex is amazing.

I still cannot get over how good this album is and its been almost 3 months. They have been one of my favorite bands since ember to inferno but them with Alex really seems to have opened them up. Unbelievably great album.

I had been waiting 15 years for this track. The whole album is 10/10.
Won't lie listened to this song loads and every time gives me goosebumps and something strange happens in my eyes a clear liquid forms,outstanding song.
You can really hear how Trivium has matured as a band since Ember to Inferno. Been a fan since the beginning and continue to love everything these guys put out!

If that salty dude didn't make that "boat, rudder.." video all those years ago I might not even be here now checking out the new stuff from my favorite band while I wait for the signed copy of it to hit my mailbox. I'm not saying anything new here, this song is straight up teenage Matt working Ascendancy riffage and nearly every other track on this album either has it's lineage in another era of the band or pays homage to it with a riff or two. Alex lights this shit on fire. I know Matt tried to make peace with the Boat Rudder dude but I'd like to shake his hand someday for giving me over a decade of sore necks and ringing ears

The Best Song on the whole cd.
Always impressed with Trivium. I really like this one though. They've accompanied me and motivated me on many of long runs. This is on the "Life" and "Run" playlist. I'm just in awe of each and every one of their talents on their instruments and what they are doing as a band. True professionals, doing what they want but also bringing us fans what we want. Great melodies, screams, jams and in your face metal. Love it.
