Exactly he is speaking on unconditional love. That's what marriage is supposed to be about. Verses it being transactional and keeping score.
Why do people have such a problem with reciprocity? Unconditional love isn’t necessarily the most ideal or healthy kind of love. Unconditional love is actually the reason many people stay in abusive situations. It’s ok to love someone as long as they love you back.

I perfectly understand what the last guy said. I had a partner who thought the same. One day i didn’t text her all morning coz i’d had a car accident on my way to work, and was feeling sick in bed. She said she didn’t text coz why should she, when i hadn’t messaged her too. I think that mindset was fucked up. From then on i knew she wasn’t it.
