The ui on the website is no longer the ui in this video. 1) Is the "access key" defined by the "password" to the right of my GC serial number? 2) Is the "schthack password" the same as the "MyHL" password?
I got this figured out with a little help from Discord. fyi I'm on Wii U at 3:40 you talk about your password to you schtserver account, but apparently whatever you put in the "password" field doesn't matter at all the SN I invented was apparently too high a number, which I think resulted in the login failing and the saved serial number changing into something totally different. I fixed this by creating a new Hunter License with the reverted serial, but this took me a while to figure out.
Thank you ;) I didn't understand why I couldn't connect to the servers of Schthack but it was very simple : I just had to update some ISP information ^^
Thanks for the Video. I am not able to input the new hunter licence since I already used one in the past (and data seem to be unchangeble and remain also by deleting the files on the memory card). What can I do?
Im still very confused. For me when I to go to the network settings it tries to tell me that I need a phone number to enter although it doesnt pop up for you

Is there any way for this to work with the knowledge that my GameCube and router are two rooms apart, not to mention the router not being near any televisions in the house?
Head to Amazon or an Electronics Store, and check out WiFi extenders. You can get AC plugs which let you attach an Ethernet Cable, and it'll bounce the signal to a paired plug linked to your Router. Helpful?
I heard from spawn waves video that it's possible to use a real gamecube to play pso through dolphin. Do you have any info on how this works? My search has come up blank...
Even better! Thanks for those, PSO is one of those games that I intend to get around to playing, but haven't. Just subscribed to you; I'm surprised you don't have more subs!

Very helpful video :) thank you for posting this! I have one question though.... my GC is upstairs and my router is downstairs, do you know if I could set up an ICS on my laptop and have my ethernet cable connect to that from the GC? I read that some internet service providers may have trouble with this but its all a bit confusing to me.
If it were me, I would get some power socket WiFi adapters. It's an ether net port you plug into the power outlet and it let's you connect or expand your WiFi to other rooms. But I'm sure you can do it on a laptop, for free too. That's how we used to do it in 2002.
Are hacked/modded weapons banned? I think I still have some old school stuff from back in the day and would love to get in. I just don’t want to get banned for doing so...
I have so many questions... 1_ What's the difference between the modem adapter and BBA? When I search for either it all brings me to the same thing. 2_ Why does this tutorial look so simple, but everyone giving me advice makes it sound like legit japanese? 3_ Is there really a risk of losing all my gear while playing online? If there is, what's the deal with backing up my Gamecube memory card files, it requires specific gear?
1. Modem is for Dial Up Internet (obsolete) BBA is broadband (still works) 2. It is very easy if you have all the stuff listed. The Schtserv website has changed since this was made though. 3. I don't believe the risk is any higher than usual. Backing up saves requires homebrew apps. Easy to do with Swiss.
@@FossilArcade 1_ And I'm guessing they look exactly the same haha 3_ Swiss is what exactly? Because I'm pretty sure if I research Swiss it's going to take me a while finding what I need haha
@Samuel Poulin 1. The BBA is black and has a rainbow reflective sticker. Should also say Broadband on it pretty clearly. 3. Search 'Swiss Gamecube' and you'll find hundreds of tutorials on it. It is a multifunction homebrew software specifically for Gamecube. Requires an SD card to run.
Shit didn't know there were 2 adapters ah.. modem is dial up WOPS ah well broadband adapter hunting then sigh at least i didnt pay a lot for the modem one tho lol
Alright, found a pretty decent looking one and a decent price, luckily usd is pretty cheap here in sweden so didn't hurt too much, was under 100 usd lol
Great video. I play on the Dreamcast and stream it over on my channel (check it out if you're curious as well as anyone interested) and I have lots of fun with it. The DC requires a patched version, so you cannot actually use the original disc unless you run it alongside a patcher. I never played on the GC and I like that you can simply use the original disc as is without burning a patched copy. I have my BBA and GC, so I'm going to give this a go. Thanks for the information and hope to see you on Altimira!
If memory serves, to import the Japanese exclusive official keyboard would run you about £75 at the time, and I paid something like £90 for mine on ebay almost twenty years later. If you're low on cash, the best way to play is on Wii, and I believe you can even get it to work with any USB keyboard. But I do not know all the details, as I have the cube of course.
I personally haven't been active in the community for a few years, but it was never huge. You might make some friends but I got into it because I already knew people who played. You can try to get to know people in the various communities before spending any cash.
You can set up some key phrases for quick respond, of course. Most people won't mind if you don't have a keyboard as they're in the sane boat. Try discord if you need to chat 😉
