Poznan is most beautiful and very comfortable city to live in Europe. I lived there for 3 years. Woow very nice to see and memorize the places after 11 years. I love Poland
I knew it, I have traveled through Poland, but to clarify, only through the internet I have never left my country, and the one I liked the most is Poznan, its transport system, which I love and am fascinated by, the trains, it is as a place you would love to explore and you always find something special, thank you very much for sharing and take care of yourself
Poznań is my hometown. This is the Wielkopolska region (Greater Poland Voivodeship). This is where Poland was born. The first rulers of the country are buried in Ostrów Tumski (Cathedral Island). In the dialect of this region is the word "pyra". 'Pyra' means potato. The rest of Poland calls this region "Pyrland" in slang. "Pyra with Gzik" is a traditional dish XD It's a large baked or boiled potato served with butter and curd. This curd is with a dash of onion, chives or dill. This is "Gzik". This dish is similar to jacket potatoes XD
@@martianwalker31 No. Ostrów Tumski in Poznań. "Ostrów" means an islet in Old Polish. "Tum" means cathedral, church. That is why the name Ostrów Tumski is in several cities.
Poznan really seems like a terrific place to see! Love the old buildings and architecture. Nice lake too. Museums were so interesting too! Brilliant! Thanks for sharing and for the entertainment! 🤪
Cool video! For a Polish guy who has lived in the UK for the past 15 years it always looks interesting (and surprising) to see how people react when they visit Poland. Love your commentary- I don't know why but I feel like I know you. Must be the way you talk to a camera. Anyway I hope you liked exploring the city. I love it. I used to go to college there :)
Next time you've got to try Poznan's traditional St Martin croissants! And I highly recommend going to the 'Rogalowe Muzeum' which is a museum with a live presentation of croissants making and a bit of history. They have shows in English as well, you'll love it!

Wroclaw is a great place for a couple of days, beautiful city centre, friendly locals and tons of great bars and restaurants. Was there in 2018 and would go back anytime.

I've never seen a video of yours before and loved this as off to Poznan next week just because I can. I do wish you'd told us, the viewer, what time of year...and even the year this was filmed in. I'm watching late September 2022. Cheers!
Hey Aly just thought I'd watch your Poznan video again because after 6 years of full-time travel (over it lol) I obtained Polish citizenship by descent earlier this year so I'm now planning to settle for a year in Poland (or perhaps longer). Poznan is on my list because of it being on the more affordable side so here we are!
Poznań is the capital of the Greater Poland region. You nicely explained the rules of driving on the streets. The fact is that when the traffic lights are red for pedestrians, Poles wait patiently because signalized crossings often have monitoring and Poles like to pay fines. At pedestrian crossings without signals, pedestrians always have priority as long as they do not step into the crossing abruptly. As for prices, it is actually very cheap for foreigners because the prices are adjusted to the earnings of Poles. But I haven't seen you taste a croissant typical of this region, which is traditionally eaten on St. Marcina - a croissant with almond flour. On a weekday, not all restaurants are open until noon because people are working, and on Sunday everything is closed except for confectioneries and a few cafes so that trade people can rest a little and be with their families.😄
I'm going to explore The whole country of POLAND. Considering it's really affordable , clean, etc. First on my list this Sunday is GDANSK. First week of December POZNAN . Filipino from Finland. 😀
Late to the party but flying into poznan cos it's cheaper than flying directly to Berlin from Edinburgh. Will spend a few days eating and drinking here. Looks good. 😊
