He's one of my all-time favorites he's dynamic and never heard someone go from so graceful and soft to alarming loud he really is incredible and distinct
I just realized. I’ve always liked Brian on a bigger bass drum. He really uses all the depth and diameter of that kick. And he uses the length of the note so much differently then a Non Jazz drummer. It always seems like he’s playing on some crappy back line kit when he’s in a 22”. Lol. But damn. It’s just different then when he plays a bop kit.

You are doing a great service to the community with all these compilations! Thank you so much.
Agree!
BB is one of the most tasteful, joyous players out there!
I love that he always has a big smile when playing drums
Blade is a lesson in feel.
Dude is a fricken legend haha so much energy behind the kit!

I'm not normally a 'fan' of compilations but ths is fantastic- thank you! \wow it must be a joy to play with Brian Blade on drums!
Really appreciate these compilations
Was about to ask for this, thank you!
Discovered this dude recently - KIller! One of the Greatest!
I rewatch this video so many times
his dynamics are so extreme that he almost misses a lot of notes, but in a musical setting it's just a trough in the natural flow
This is great! My favorite musician of all time. The first clip is one of my most watched videos
What is the first clip. I assume there's a longer clip or smth
wow great compilation thank you!!!
GOAT!
I like when he drops those bombs!
The first video snare was amazing Canopus Zelkova 6.5"
I had it and sold it, Gretsch snares are better (expecially the '50 one)
Yes!
Great
Genius.

Chick 🙈👍 I still can’t believe he’s gone RIP Armando
I love his playing and musicality. I’m assuming these different drum sets are mainly backline kits. Does anyone know what cymbal models he’s using?
So so nice and sweet
Totally
That's Jamison Ross from Snarky Puppy vibin' behind him at 1:50

I watched him at wc post hit his kick drum so hard it was moving away from him lol
There’s a cat who loves his job
Hi, great compilation!
Would have been cool if you linked the original videos, or gave a list so we can fully enjoy each one of them.
Cheers :)
I'll try to work on that. Thanks :)
