The way Brian Blade can react so instantaneously to such complex tunes always blows me away
Following Danilo is like trying to land on an asteroid traveling 55,000 mph .. He's got the best astronauts in the world right there
the synergy that these three brew up is pure magick of the highest order.
For those keeping score, that's Brian Blade making a $100 Pearl Sensitone sound like a $2000 Black Beauty.
Brian took a hit of acid when he was a kid, put some Train on the turn table, sat behind his kit and just NEVER CAME BACK...
Poeta, violinista y compositor
All of them are real monsters on scene....such humble guys live...eternal respect
I think at 13:20 Brian's bass pedal broke, he doesn't play it for the rest of the song, but man he barely even notices and just keeps on goin. What a legend
Brian B is such an instinctual, in-the-moment player, he just oozes that. Awesome stuff
@1:55 Do you hear that chord? Do you see the guy in the front row getting the chills?... That's what its about...
absolutely - that chord had that guy jumping out of his skin!!
One of the very rare instances in which a youtube video fells close to live music! The energy these guys have
When I watch them with eyes opened, I can only hear one at a time. But if I close my eyes then I can see all three playing together. I find closing my eyes opens my perception. But also, by just watching them I feel I learn how to play, the dynamics of it and how the body dances with the instrument.
Brian Blade is out of this world!! he is and ET!! AMAZING!!!
He is definitely from another planet.Masterful.
Love that one note on the ride at 4:30
perez is poetry
I applaud the the artist for their artistic work of art, but I also applaud the listing audience ,for their respectful grace and poses.
Thumbs up if u think these guys can come up with a Covid19 solution and be in charge of running the world.
Excellent! If only we could get more of our Millennial generation youth to listen to, enjoy, and keep this type of music going.
Love this. Love these guys. Rode-and-died with everything the Wayne quartet did. Also, somebody needs to do a shreds video of this :P
This is a remarkable performance; I especially love the fill at 8:53 and the way Brian seamlessly switches between solo sections and the absolute pocket of the melodic groove.
Definitely a gig you dont rehearse for. Those guys were so in the moment with each other. Not thinking, just having a conversation with each other. Very cool
Terrific. They really understand each other and it shows. Blade is unbelievable!
Killer trio. Wayne is in great company.
Friendships to Berclee College of Music ! I LOVE IT! from Didier D'Agostino /drummer (i played in France with RHODA SCOTT (organ ) in 1992 ,Etienne M'Bappe,Guy N'Sangue, Thierry Mineau and others musicians ).My teacher in 1975 was GUY HAYAT (of your house !).
Wow Danilo Perez and Brian blade together outstanding!!!!
loved the bass
I was at this clinic and played afterwards, the energy was unreal!
Who the fuck dislikes masterpieces like this?
Que alegria, se me saltan las lagrimas!!!
WOW!!! Amazing!!!!
Just dope!!
This was executed on such a high level I couldn’t even process it all.
Ultimate power trio! I thought that of the acoustic band too. But the virtuosity in this trio has gone one step further.
Fabulous musos Fabulous music , ethereal magic 👍
Awesome!
13:36 that kid in the background gets it
hahahaha yeah, he's like looking down thinking about what he's hearing
You know it's on when John removes his glasses
Epic.
Ah the Shorter College Graduates....phenomenal!
Wayne Shorter. I Love Wayne Shorter. Thanks.
In addition to being a journalist at the 'Daily Planet' Clark Kent (John Patitucci) is also a professional and an extraordinary bass player when he's not saving the world from monsters. ( ^ _ ^ )
Thanks for this
anyone else cry beside me
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
1 of the commenters hit the nail on the head , Brian to a bull#%@ drum-set and turned it into gold🥁👏👏🏼👏🏻✌🏽
Very good
Freedom!
GREAT STUF 👍
Love this great smooth jazz !
Brian is so organic.
whoa
oooooo super
Is.this a yamaha birch bop kit? Sounds great!
Fluidity, water moving, disappearing, emerges from somewhere underground, cascading, rushing white water, mist rises, mystery covers, a breeze blows, the fog parts, sun, running wild, fur and claw, free, up into flight, soar, float and fall again in storm, splash and sweep, roil, water, always water
@ Scott Robbins Beautifully said. You absolutely nailed it. Every unthirsty (space/note) word. Excellent.
What happened to that Jazz a Junas concert that was posted months ago that went away? It would be great if the band made that one available. I loved listening and watching the group create with amazing feel and grooves galore. Thanks!
HAAA so tight !
man, that straight turned my socks into milk 🦊🤙🥛
6:00 holding hand-in-hand while watching legends.
That was the most insane thing Ive seen awhile
Any ideas on the cymbals used? I’m thinking the left cymbal is a 20” constantinople. Anyone knows about the right one?
🙂💙🌻🌱
Donde está el botón de triple like?
Which are the heads that Brian is using?
I don't know how Brian plays so much without getting in the way or having his own agenda. That is what I would like to ask him.
this is trully what jazz is, there all completely lost in the moment
8:25
lester freamon on the drums?
8:21 Its the time to release the devil in bassist
That bassist came to PLAY
beauty!
#OdedMusic #OdedFriedGaon #Audioded
13:37 when music hits you so hard
Somebody know what cymbals he uses?
took me a while to hear that the tune is in 5.
JP is my favorite Italian
Blade plays the end of that tune with no bass drum... anyone notice?
They are brilliant. but what does it all mean?
How?
Phrygian-esque mood.
Madre mía!!
13:40 - 13:48 BRIAN
Jazz un two words:
Brian Blade
Have Mr. Blade ever fallen off his chair? omg!
I see...SO many friends there...lol
I lost it at 13:21
29 people disliked this ! Show me something better then.
Thumbs down? How dare you!
Sweet jesus
кайф!
Danylo performed in a Ukrainian shirt😊
Holy Shit! Definition
The tempo around 7:30 is UP. The the pianist starts tripletting...
At 5:30 I heard the same thing on drums Mr.Blade heard.
A drum’s concert
Does Patittucci dye his hair?
Is Danilo Perez half Ukrainian? Danilo is Ukrainian name and looks like he is wearing Ukrainian embroidered shirt here.
the overall sound of the mix is a bit piano-centric
