I liked the way he casually kills the guys son. None of that dumb monologue shit where he holds the gun and gives a damn speech giving some chance for the kid to do something to escape or someone interupting. Just one shot to the knee, walks up and POW! Walks away like a badass.

I love John Wick because for a change; when villians hear the name of the "hero" they get scared. Normally they are making plans to rule the galaxy and underestimate the hero. But in John Wick it is just mafia and a old hitman who has bloodlust and revenge for his dog. So OTT, the constant feel of rage..is making me feel ecstatic. Love it when you are full of rage; makes you very powerful and others around you can feel it thus the feeling of respect you get. I think i just came. Do you think i have anger management issues?

Should have mentioned that most of John's shooting sequences were facilitated because of his real life weapon training. He's a firearm enthusiast so he used, mostly, actually shooting techniques. Look it up.

Sheesh - It's a reference to a BTS shot from an upcoming movie called a Dog's Purpose. it went viral when some tabloid posted it making it out to look like animal cruelty to dogs, when it was actually harmless and supervised by animal rights people. Since John Wick is largely about him taking revenge on his dog.. It's a loose reference, but it's there :p

Awesome. I cannot stand shaky cam. Just because the Bourne movies do it doesn't give anyone precedent to copy. Yeah, there are exceptions, but for most of the action genre it is an excuse for actors who cannot or are unwilling to do much of their own stunts. It is why I value actors like Keanu Reeves and Tom Cruise. Excellent actors, but can really do action well. We need more directors like the guys who did John Wick. But it is time Shaky cam takes a long needed break.

tom cruise does most of his own stunts as well. i think cruise does a larger variety of action, plane scene and free diving and climbing the burj khalifa in mission impossible, on top of the running, hand to hand combat, motorbike/car chases. keanu mainly sticks to gun action and martial arts only

I just finished watching 2 and i would say it has an even better build up to the third one than the first one did for this second one. I honestly feel like they didn't top the night club scene from the first one though, but it was close to in the first couple of parts. I r8 9.5/10

Honestly in my opinion John Wick is the best action saga of the last decade.
Compared to Jack Reacher 2 it's night and day. John Wick 2 is such a better sequel. I hated 2 scenes in Jack Reacher and should have left the theater. They brought a handgun to an ambush that they planned in Jack Reacher. John Wick has plans A-Z covered. One of them seems like someone who would actually be formidable. The Accountant was actually a good action movie as well though.

Madalin Grama The Raid 2 is much more focused on fight choreography. So if you're looking for brutal hand to hand combat, it's a good movie. The Raid makes you feel like each and every fight is a struggle for life while movies like John Wick have them taking out the majority of enemies in a few strikes/shots. Depends if you want your protagonist to feel overpowered or not.
Just about any action hero should die due to wounds over time. It's hard to find a movie where the protagonist seems to feel each and every blow. Usually they only feel stab wounds or bullet wounds for a bit. Just how many have taken a head blow after getting a concusion? Most likely dead if not at least unable to balance.

TodesKnecht that's the one thing I hate about movies these days "unlimited bullets" cheat codes and also especially when a character takes another enemies gun doesn't take an extra clip! I mean come on does your enemies going to have the cheat code too? he did shoot at you why would you pick up an extra clip! I commend this movie for making reloading a actually "live or die" situation for the character.
