Personally, I use that ult mostly for area denial, which can still be quite useful since this game is focused on objective. I could, for example, use it to force the opponents to stay clear of the payload for a few moments.
i do this and even using it like this, still the worst ult ive ever seen. it is sad that one of the most fun characters ive played in any videogame has the worst ult too :(
@Imhellish what're you talking about he has one of the best ults, not the best of course when in comparison to others but his ult allows for area control and some pretty good damage just practice it 😊
@@liltomato1474 nah you are delusional. Getting value with MK's ult is so much harder than many other ults it is ridiculous. It doesnt even last long enough to count it as area control tbh
@@ImHellish I agree. MK's ult is rather underwhelming. IMO, the most potent part of his kit is the Anhk. That thing allowed for some crazy burst damage potential.
If this game does the same April Fools joke as Overwatch, with the switching ultimate lines, I think that would be the perfect place to put his most iconic line that he never actually said
Another good tip to cover the ults weakness against mobile characters - cast the ultimate over a group of squishes - and before the portal even opens up throw the ankh at the center of them start shooting. The pull from the ankh will slow them down just enough and with the damage ur putting out usually even one tick of the ult will land you the kill.
As a squishy myself I despise this ult especially now after the update. Every time I hear “The M…” and freeze the moon knight and kill him (Luna) I always die to it. Don’t think you can cancel this one
One thing worth mentioning is as you deploy an ankh, while traveling it has a pretty large hitbox of where it sticks so if you aim behind an edge it might stick to the edge in front of you.
For sure, not to mention that your projectiles get sucked up into it if it is at your feet on a ledge, basically denies a specific angle if you mess it up.
I never understood Loki until I went up against a great player….man Loki can be a real pain in the ass 😂😂. Seems really hard to play right. Is he that difficult?
@DissipativeAdaptation he can be amazing if played right but his ult is probably one of the hardest to use consistently since you have to know every characters ult and actually trying to pick out which character you copy can be a major pain
"-If you follow these tips, you'll be taking out bad guys and getting your money back from Dracula in no time." If i could give more than 1 like, i would've done it immediately XD
Here I thought I was playing him weakly or something dying to divers and assassins, but no, I'm just bad at cooldown management. Very informative. Love playing him, and it gives me relief knowing I'm playing him pretty correctly atleast xd
As a moonknight main the only thing you might have missed is the secondary fire stuff. It ignores all animations. So M1 M2 is huge burst, and if you press ankh M2 too fast the ankh gets cancelled, so it’s important to m1 m2 the ankh in the combo you mentioned for consistency. also the m1 burst does 75 if it all lands and the m2 does 80 so its main value is actually the cancel and that its pretty much a guaranteed 3 shot burst and then some.
Please make more! Your guide is so easily digestible and structured. Thank you for simply using the keybindings instead of the crazy skill names or 'Primary' or 'Action' like many of the other creators lol. I can't tell you how many times I had to redirect my attention to the bottom right just to see which skill they are actually talking about. I gave up after a while and now I'll wait for your version of the character guides.
I'm surprised you didn't mention that he's the only character that has a built in Melee combo with a final hit that acts as a knock up when it lands on enemies. Its come in clutch for me a few times and I recommend any new moon knight player find time to weave in a few melee attacks whenever you find yourself getting dived on.
I 100% recommend literally never using the melee unless a target is one HP when you have number advantage. His melee is so ass any competent dive hero player will instantly kill you
It doesn’t even do a quarter of a health bar even if you hit the full combo lmao?? I only recommend it if you’re fighting up close in a team battle and have to reload, get 1 or 2 hits prolly never have time for a 3rd then reposition
@@franktownsend3483I’ve had to use it a couple times because Captain America keeps pressing me. Any captain America I go against just dives at me all the time.
honestly, i feel like the ankh is really powerful against specific tanks. getting it in the frontline while they’re focused on somebody else spits out a TON of damage, forcing peel and disrupting. i agree with everything you said in the video besides that point. great guide!
Basically everytime you see a group of enemies always shoot your ankh first. Learn maps to find out what the best high ground areas are to get to because that is where you are most valuable. While moon knight is brilliant at crowd control, he’s not got the best durability and is a fairly quick kill for flanking dive characters. If you are up against a melee character, drop your ankh at your feet and fling everything you have at it.
Hey small thing that can help. You want to ult an area and IMMEDIATELY throw an Ankh in the middle of it, effectively pulling everyone back in who was trying to run away. This has worked consistently for me and has given me several multi kills, mostly 3KO's. I will solo ult a mfkr this way, as well.
The meme refrence at the end was awsome. But I'd beg to differ about flyers, eariler today I managed to get iron man by throwing my ankh at the ceiling of the cave in Ygdrassil path and going "random bs go"
I managed to take ironman out a few times with wolverine by getting to higher ground and then using that tackle ability to tackle him out of the sky lol. Brings him all the way down to the ground with me and then it gets this attack boost for a few seconds and I'll usually kill him before he gets back up in the air.
@@racker6081 I noticed it kinda aims high because he jumps up with it. I usually use it right up in someone's face so it can't miss but in that instance it just took a little aim and he was slightly higher than me. But once you do that tackle a bunch you get used to the trajectory and how it kinda arches. Personally I just played him solely for like 50 matches straight and now it's pretty easy to aim it.
4:35 A tip for taking out fliers: if they’re in an enclosed space against a ceiling or wall you can place your ankh behind them and it will suck them in and make a them a way easier target
A tip I learned by going into practice mode: Moon Knight's left click is separated in 3, and since it has travel time you can flick your mouse quickly to any direction you want and the last boomerang will hit this last spot (you will lose a bit of damage if you hit only one, but you'll have more chance to hit). This helped me a lot to hit more boomerangs, even if it was just one. This also works with Luna Snow, but it is more difficult since her shots are way quicker, but it's still possible
You forgot to mention that to get most value from your ult you can throw ankh in the middle to pull enemies inside, and ofc instantly combo for even higher damage. Its very reliable way to get multikills even on tanks/through enemy healer ult, and without any ally setup ult
Just started playing this game and I really like Moon Knight. I definitely picked up some awesome tips from this video that I can't wait to try out. Thanks!
Two situational notes: You *can* handle some of the flying characters fairly easily, as long as they are flying close enough to a wall that you can get an ankh placed next to them. If you can aim and time it right (by rapid firing as explained in the video), you can take them out before they can move out of range. Your melee attack is a 3 chain swing combo. This can work extremely well when you have Duelist dive you, but it also highly dependent on which character it is and the other players proficiency with them.
Another thing I found for flying characters is to throw an ankh up on a high wall and bouncing it off that. Works really well on iron man and storm. Haven’t seen many do it but it seems to work well for me !
I got 2 things to say: 1. You said you can’t use any abilities while using your grappling hook, but you can counter that by using your double jump while in the air to get insane height. 2. I find it very easy to kill tanks using Moon Knight, especially when they’re all near other enemy targets.
This is a solid guide. Some good info here. Most "guides" just run through the abilities in the practice area, like were all illterate morons and can't do that already. Good job.
Tip: If you see the other team always behind the tank, dont shoot an ankh, just shoot the tank it will work just like it also you can use the loki clones like ankhs
Moon Knight is amazing. Here's a dope combo that will kill anything besides tanks. Drop an ankh at an enemies feet. YES! MY MAIN! Edit: While I do agree Moon Knight isn't as viable against flying characters, it isn't impossible to take them down. In one of my first games as Moon Knight, I was able to kill a Storm who was flying too close to a wall by placing my Ankh near them. Very situational, but it can still happen!
I've taken a few Iron Mans out the same way, too. I could also tell they weren't used to being shot at, because only one of them actually dashed away before I could kill him. 😂
I love how they designed Moon Knight in this game. He's very versatile with his kit & abilities, can either hold off the front lines against enemy pushes, help push with the team, & lurk/flank to catch enemies off guard, especially healers & those staying in the back lines like Hawkeye & Black Widow. Since he's an AoE kind of dualist based on his gameplay, he's pretty much the "crowd control" character who can really cause a lot of trouble to the enemy team & wear them off (even you aren't getting kills, you're dealing a lot of damage so you're other duelist & tanks can have an easier time finishing them off). With the way I play Moon Knight, I treat him like a "controller" (lol yeah I'm using Valorant terms) where I can control space for the team & limit the enemy team's space for push, especially with the ankhs & ult. Honestly, you can just make use of Moon Knight's ult as a way to shut enemies off from their push. Even if you don't get the kill, as long as you disrupt them, give time for the rest of the team to catch up & aid you in preventing enemy pushes as well as chip down enemies' health so a fellow duelist or tank can easily finish them off, you've already given a lot of value for the team. Moon Knight is looking to really be among the best in Marvel Rivals given how he plays & I love it.
Lot of people, even this guide, sleep on his unique melee. In close-range situations where you don't have your ankh, his batons can be more reliable since it's a faster hitting 3-hit combo with CC on the third attack. Most ranged duelists don't even have this luxury
I cant wait for wolverine guid and, a little request; could you do an additional section in your guides about like, skins or cosmetics. It would be a breif like 1 minute but i think it would be well recieved. Thank you!
Please do magneto!. I just started playing 3 days ago and he is my absolute favorite! Decent damage, sheilds, aoe, and a pretty dang decent ult. Bell notification is on!
If you have good aim then shooting at enemies near the ankh will make them take even more damage beacuse it will bounce off them to the ankh and back, while shooting the ankh will simply bounce once
Something you can do with ur ankh and ultimate is when u throw ur ult out use ur ankh to suck them into the ultimate.

For flick shots if u feel Hawkeye is hard then try black widow practice w black widow for flicks it'll really help out w Hawkeye too
If you have good aim then shooting at enemies near the ankh will make them take even more damage beacuse it will bounce off them to the ankh and back, while shooting the ankh will simply bounce once
