Animenz’s attention to detail is what makes his arrangement stands out ,highlight some of my favorite parts of this arrangement : At 0:15 you use alternative fingering to connect the melody line so you can have clean pedaling while the melody is still connected, this can be seen everywhere in your arrangement, which really shows your attention to details, btw, astonishing 1-3 fingering in the right hand to reach an octave (cool, big hand hum?) . Also the right hand finger legato at 1:35 adding a different layer of sound texture to the staccato bass line and melody line At 0:44 and 0:55 that rhythm is addicting, you do a very good job conserving the hand clapping vibe from the original song At 1:25 the cute ornament you add in the left hand At 1:44 that repetitive G# is similar to your great days arrangement (F#) , which really gives great vibe and bringing the hype to another level. And how can we not mentioning that fancy hand crossing moment at 2:08 lol At 2:20 that additional base melody line has different rhythm to those at 1:46, that’s why I never get bored of listening to your arrangement, there is always variation. At 3:22 it's just like an orchestra or band playing at this moment, THAT JUMPING LEFT HAND MELODY LINE IS GENIUS, and the following 3:28 section , all the sound just melt so well into each other, that bass, that middle melody line woven by both hand , that top decoration line, but I can still distinguish each of them !!! How are you able to play it so cleanly !? The clean pedal cutoff at 3:41 is a nice touch Finally that right hand jump at 3:49 seems risky Lastly, little complain about the arrangement, the octave in the chorus is a bit too much for me, wish there is more variation in the chorus, it seems that for popular songs in general , the most interesting part of the song is always be the verse ,it’s hard to make people feel ”WOW” in the chorus part, but of course there are exceptions , for instance, I really love the second chorus of your Tamashii no refrain arrangement , that staccato ,OMG, it’s simple, but that really takes the arrangement to a different level. ps. hey Kids next week?
Hey nice comment. Is the alternative fingering really necessary or just easier for him? And why is it hard to pedal .. I also dislike constant ovtave spamming in chorus.
If you listen to the instrumental track provided in the description of the original music video of Kaibutsu (the piapro link), Ayase san actually wrote a counter melody in the chorus, which gives the chorus another layer. Really a pity Animenz didn’t include it in his version.
My piano teacher once told me, "if you rely on the sustain pedal too much, you will forget to properly phrase the melodies". That's why I (almost subconsciously) connect as many melody lines as possible by finger legato - even using unusual fingerings such as 1-3 for an octave in 0:15 😅 I actually tried to make some variations in the chorus, but nothing really worked out. I just needed more punch in the Melody line, and chords / substitution melodies just didn't work out quite well to achieve a certain brilliance in the right hand. Octaves are indeed overused in pop music piano arrangements, but they simply offer the best option with our limited 2 hands. However, I did have the opportunity to add some fourths/thirds/sixths within the octave melody in the chorus. I will keep this in mind and try to do better in my next arrangement. Thanks for your comment! I enjoy reading analysis replies!

He's really good at piano, but I think his arranging skills and the effort and talent to compose the music are great..! As someone who learns and likes music, I think I should listen to and learn a lot of "Animenz"'s music..! Thank you for always uploading such great videos!
Thank you for your comment! I do spend a lot of time on each arrangement to find the best balance of piano technique, dynamic contrast, "surprise elements" and flow of the music. Basically, my goal is to create an anime piano arrangement, which never sounds "too much" but at the same time not "too empty" as well. And at the same time, replicate the most characteristic musical elements of the original song on the piano. (Most of the time, it's a characteristic rhythm in the left hand.) I hope I can still discover more musical ideas for my future arrangements as well!
Another incredible arrangement - I've listened to tons of covers for this song, and yours is definitely the best. I loved the introspective intro you added and your immaculate attention to detail (such as minimizing the vocal range of the first section to maximize the impact of the chorus). And of course, the bass for this arrangement was absolutely epic - that left hand at 1:46 was absolutely 🔥and I love how you included the hand-crossing technique during the part at 2:09! -Also, Legoshi is Animenz's stand confirmed- Speaking of key changes, G# minor has recently become one of the most iconic keys for popular anime songs - despite being a relatively "obscure" key, every year there has been a viral anime song that involves G# minor to some degree ("Traitor's Requiem" in 2019, "DADDY DADDY DO" in 2020, "Kaibutsu" in 2021, and almost certainly Aimer's Demon Slayer OP "Zankyosanka" next year). Not many hints for the next arrangement, so I guess we'll be in for a surprise! However, having read some of the suggestions this year, I have a slight hunch on what the next song will be - and if it is what I'm thinking it is, it's going to be absolutely incredible :) See you next time!
Speaking of it, you are right! G# minor just sounds "otherworldly" and immediately catches the attention of the listener. Zankyosanka is definitely on my to-do list, once the full single comes out!

This re-arrangement is astonishing... I was waiting for this cover for such a long time. So many covers so far can be found around TH-cam, but this is no doubt the best one. The verse of the song is easily become boring while performing with piano, but Animenz definitely made some amazing touch to it. Not to mention the dazzling techniques used in the later part of the music. Thanks for your effort Animenz!
He actually played the bass line in the verses the way it was written by Ayase san, which is very syncopated. Many people play it as alternating two notes an octave apart, which is much easier to do, but it take the life out of the bassline.
Animenz, you always please me with your arrangements. As a pianist, I respect you. As a viewer, I enjoy watching your videos. So, thank you. Honestly, you are the best pianist on TH-cam. And that's why you have so many fans. I hope to be as good as you one day! Thank you for being an inspiration. -SwordGG

Masterpiece. The Animenz standards of immaculate technique and pedalling are always top tier, but damn, this arrangement really got the blood flowing and the goosebumps coming. Those modulation transitions were so damn clean man!
I LOVE how he arranged the section at 3:22. The control over those insane jumps is astounding. It’s great you did back to back uploads of crybaby and monster, I hope your arrangements skyrocket in popularity like those songs did

Really interested to see how you arrange this, need some help with stylistic choices from the piano God! hehe :D Edit: Goddamn, you did not disappoint, Animenz!!!! That 3-hand technique at 1.45 was sooooo good with such equal levels of pianism and accuracy wthh! I feel like you either repositioned your mics or gained JoJo-level forearms, because the bass was extra juicy today haha!
@@ActionAdam if you would have ton of time motivation and 20 years time then maybe lmao but we don't need to become animenz since everyone is special and has his own touch ,(god this sounds gay lol)
Some people said the chorus is not impressive compared with other parts. In my opinion, it's enough strong and well-balanced. Since the melody is rich enough. (Don't assume you already listened many times and expect to be more complex and complex) Keep the tension and brings the melody is good rather than adding too much to disperse the melody. Also, things come just right and smooth: Such as at 1:21, 3:18, and 3:37, the parallel octave helps strengthen the motion. Which the original music (vocal) is also doing so.
I love how animenz doesn’t fail to fully capture the style and essence of the music he’s playing. This covers genius. It’s as great as his my war from attack on Titan 😫🥰

Animenz’s attention to detail is what makes his arrangement stands out ,highlight some of my favorite parts of this arrangement :

At 1:44 that repetitive G# is similar to your great days arrangement (F#) , which really gives great vibe and bringing the hype to another level.

One absolute rule: if there’s an Animenz cover of it, it’s automatically the best version it can possibly be out there.
Agreed 👍
Animenz, you always please me with your arrangements. As a pianist, I respect you. As a viewer, I enjoy watching your videos. So, thank you. Honestly, you are the best pianist on TH-cam. And that's why you have so many fans. I hope to be as good as you one day! Thank you for being an inspiration.

Ehe
It is so cool to see a man playing piano like this
Desde el minuto 00:00 ya te das cuenta que este es el mejor cover en piano de esta cancion que podras encontrar con ese añadido.
This arrangement is damn good! I've listen to Beastars' OP many times but this is truly great!!!! Thanks, still amazing as usually, Animenz.

I felt like He has a lot of talent because Composers that can also be musicians is really impressive, first is his skills at arranging and second is his amazing piano skills! As is so amazing! Love ur videos
Masterpiece. The Animenz standards of immaculate technique and pedalling are always top tier, but damn, this arrangement
really got the blood flowing and the goosebumps coming. Those modulation transitions were so damn clean man!
あなたのピアノを聞いて、昔頑張ったピアノをまた弾きたいと思うようになりました。最高にかっこいい。
This cover made this banger 10x better.
I LOVE how he arranged the section at 3:22. The control over those insane jumps is astounding. It’s great you did back to back uploads of crybaby and monster, I hope your arrangements skyrocket in popularity like those songs did
今まで聞いてきた中で一番アレンジが気持ちいいです!無限に聴けます😭
ホントに好きなアレンジで毎回楽しみです。
これからも楽しみにしています。
圧巻の演奏とアレンジに聴き入りました 最高です!
Would love to see Yoru ni Kakeru arranged!!!! It’s not an anime OP but it’s arguably YOASAOBI’s most iconic track!!!!
Im second that
Every kaibtsu piano version i've heard is purely gold, but yours tops it. Well done Animenz, i hope i will be amazed by your other works in the future as much as I was with this one. Keep it up and may your channel grow.👍
Even the lights match with the different tunes.
I have NEVER been close to being disappointed by any of animenz videos. They are one of the few things I look forward to.

I love how the moon-lamb changes the colour well-timed
My dude, I can only imagine the hardwork and all this practices you've did, to become in this level, goddamn.
For real, this was amazing, please dont leave this world without making someone passionate about piano, playing piano better than you.
Holy jesus that was freaking insane to watch... You earned my instant like and subsciption!
これは完璧です!!!あなたは小さなメモでも非常に繊細です。アニメンズ様、お疲れ様でした。
This is perfect! !! !! You are very delicate even with small notes. Animenz, thank you for your hard work.
Have tried arranging this for over 6 months and still don't have a final version I'm happy with. Really interested to see how you arrange this, need some help with stylistic choices from the piano God! hehe :D
Edit: Goddamn, you did not disappoint, Animenz!!!! That 3-hand technique at 1.45 was sooooo good with such equal levels of pianism and accuracy wthh! I feel like you either repositioned your mics or gained JoJo-level forearms, because the bass was extra juicy today haha!
You can be a future Animenz
With the talent that you have
@@Fanthomaster11 Yeah not sure about that one m7
@@ActionAdam if you would have ton of time motivation and 20 years time then maybe lmao but we don't need to become animenz since everyone is special and has his own touch ,(god this sounds gay lol)
Animenz delivers!
Some people said the chorus is not impressive compared with other parts.
In my opinion, it's enough strong and well-balanced. Since the melody is rich enough.
(Don't assume you already listened many times and expect to be more complex and complex)
Keep the tension and brings the melody is good rather than adding too much to disperse the melody.
Also, things come just right and smooth:
Such as at 1:21, 3:18, and 3:37, the parallel octave helps strengthen the motion.
Which the original music (vocal) is also doing so.
I really like the melody line in 1:21 etc. as well! It really stands out in the chorus melody and I wanted to emphasize it on the piano
以前からそうですが、ライトアップが美しいし組合せも良いなと改めて思いました。
I love how animenz doesn’t fail to fully capture the style and essence of the music he’s playing. This covers genius. It’s as great as his my war from attack on Titan 😫🥰
jesus christ, you never cease to amaze me Animenz
The beginning is so TASTY
It gives off a really magical, sentimental feel and I LOVE IT!!!!!
He's so talented both in composition and executing his masterpiece.
Sometimes I'm thinking if his hands had brains too.
the paws at the end is so cuteeee
I knews must be this!!! I love both YOASOBI and Animenz
3:57 ANIMENZ IN FUR SUIT?! man this was amazing, I feel as if Im being showered by shots of happy hormones at every note especially at the instrumental part
I like this camera angle 😊 Now we can see a bit more of our favorit pianist!
ピアノの怪物! What a "Piano Beast"!
I just want to say that all the people who suscribed a long time ago and didnt came when you have restarted your ascension, they are really missing something, Thanks you Animenz for all your works
2020's anime ops/eds cover list is marvellous but this one sounds on a complete different level, it'son a league of its own.... it's sounds amazingly good on the piano with this particular arrangement.. it's by far my most favourite
Always astounding as usual Animenz. You make those key changes look like it's nothing, great job!
🎵 🎹 th-cam.com/video/chRJaN6_7uc/w-d-xo.html
This is seriously a incredible arrangement and on top of a song i must say is one of my absolute favorite songs ever!
Daamn great arrangement!
The lh jumps over the right hand looked sick 2:08 and all the voices you played with the lh are insane lol
i would also love to see Yoru ni Kakeru one day xD
0:11 - 0:22 absolutely beautiful from here
Actually insane a person like this exists, being able to create such amazing arrangements. Incrediable

That first part is really satisfying, and the rest is very amazing. Animenz really have high imagination, the arrangement never fails the audience. Thank you Animenz for your very beautiful work
What an arrangement! The voicings in this one are absolutely insane
I only recently discovered Yoasobi through The First and Home Takes and which finally got me to try Beastars. Phenomenal anime, music and now an Animenz piano arrangement that I can also listen to on loop. 🔥
I absolutely LOVE that tonal change in the very beginning from the chorus to the actual beginning of the song! The contrast from lyrical to the abrupt sounding beginning matches the actual song's start SO WELL. Absolutely well done once again Animenz!
Animenz doing an opening of one of the best ops I ever heard, Amazing!!!
animez u made me addicted to this song and piano thank you 😂
This gives me life. More YOASOBI anytime please.
Wow Just insane and the colors changed when he started to play at this part 0:28 - 1:54 - 2:27 - 3:40
Learning this now, and all I have to say is MAN this is hard, BUT STILL A BANGER.
So how have u finished learning this?
@@supremeleader5224 I stopped abt 3 months ago (I started too earlie in my piano journey) BUT I have started a new song, and once I am done with this one I'll consider trying this one again.

2:42 - 4:00 IS THE BEST PART I THINK
imma be honest, I don't know shit about playing piano, but dang I can not get enough of your videos! I can only imagine the blood, sweat and tears that went into getting to the point where this seems to be a casual song for you!
I knew a day would come where we'd see Animenz playing a YOASOBI song. Hope this is the beginning hehe
Your playstyle is absolutely sick!
Your arrangement level raised over 9000 the last months.... Insane, keep going!
woooooo, amazing as always
I've always hoped for a Yoasobi arrangement by you, and with Kaibutsu being probably my favourite Yoasobi song, this was an absolutely wonderful surprise. Thank you for your thoughtful arrangement and amazing performance of this song!
He really amazes me everytime I watch his videos because of how amazing it looks and how elegant he's playing
素敵すぎる演奏……好きぃ
Solo animenz puede hacer un arreglo tan completo sobre una canción en piano
Increíble tus arreglos, son muy folletos, complejos y precisos.
The best version I’ve ever heard!
I have been waiting for this
2:43 is my favorite part of the song
Oh my god! This is so far the best piano cover of Kaibutsu!
I am so surprised with the begining!
Thanks animenz for this masterpiece!
Gonna repeat this song endlessly.
I really like how the moon on your piano turned into a blood moon once you were done with your melancholic intro
I just finished to watch the premiere i am so happy and looking forward to hearing OP1 of BEASTARS probably everyone is looking for that one. Keep it up master we all love you !
2:42 planet mood match - smooth af
"YOASOBI has become one of the biggest music sensations in Japan since their debut release in 2019 with “Yoru ni Kakeru” and I decided to arrange “Kaibutsu” this week as my first YOASOBI piano cover!" - that means Yoru ni Kakeru cover is also coming! OMG!
It made me shed a tear, a tear of happiness. Thank you, kind sir
your arrange always on different levels, bro.
This is so god damn good. I've been super obsessed with this song recently, and this arrangement is no joke. Seriously, it's like you created a modern-esque classical piece.
Wow Animenz I've really loved that one!!!
Thankyou so much for your arrangements and interpretations. I can't wait for more videos! 🎼💜💚
"A very catchy song, where the chorus melody is played in four different keys*
A 3-4 hand technique coming?
Animenz: *Always has been*
I was wishing for this Yoasabi song (along with Racing Into The Night), Animenz truly delivers :D
What have I saw since 3:24??? So gooooddddd!!!!
