Good tips but one question genuinely : other good fitness influencers encourage keeping core engaged and posterior pelvic tilt, can you tell why the difference here…. Thanks in advance
Because it works on them, but not all of us can achieve the results like the one fitness influencers have. You have to find the way that suits your training preference (but doesn't mean you don't have to follow fitness influencers, you can still use them for your guide on how to push up correctly)
Yeah. Keep a slight hunch throughout the entire movement. The most important thing is to not arch when you retract, not hunch more when you protract, and keep the elbows completely straight.
What I never seen nor heard on push up techniques anywhere is the hand position. I'm not really sure if this is true for others, but this is the best position for me, the hands positioned right below the shoulder level or pecs level, not shoulder level.
From my own perspective i get less shoulder pain from a forward bent position. But i use rings for push ups. Also in my case i have scoliosis so i get a more negative effect from a neutral position.
After figuring out how to do pushups properly, I started to incrementally see an increase of how many I can do before failure. A month ago it was 9, now I’m at 16.
bro i litteraly just had this problem with a certain push up variation just now, thanks but not fully sure this applies to every kind of push up varation effectively.
not sure but i know targeting the shoulders does anyone good so instead something i would recommend from personal experience and etcetera is bicep/supinated push ups as they really hit the shoulders aswell despite the/their name
There is no wrong form, there is easier and hard. Flared is harder, but if its pain free you can do them like that. Its better to have variety than always press the same way(always warm up before whatever you do)

Is a proud posture cheating or it's acceptable
What to do if you have wrist pain in push-ups?

It’s my elbows that keep popping 💀
Bro same 💀
Mine pops cause i got in an accident
@@smolltaco5667dont do that
Your arms should have 45 angle, in simple words your arms should be placed in arrow shape, closer to body ...
Yea me too, whats wrong with my elbow? 🤔
Good tips but one question genuinely : other good fitness influencers encourage keeping core engaged and posterior pelvic tilt, can you tell why the difference here…. Thanks in advance
I too would like to know
Me too
same.... and I actually feel stronger when my core is engaged than arched.
Strange …

I am always looking for ways to improve my pushups
Hows ur progress
@@thazkithasleem3958 I am doing okay. I am focusing more on quantity versus quantity.

But isn’t arched back/natural lumbar curve contradict posterior pelvic tilt which is recommended in a lot of videos?
Yes, I also see @calimove do push-ups with arche back. I consider this a real full range push-up.
Yea this part is wrong, lumbar should be hollowed as gymnasts do...
You are a saviooor. Thanks a lot man
Make sure to look down when doing push-ups, looking up can cause neck pain
Natural lumbar arch the point i missed 5 years before in your video that caused an injury and 2 years rest 😢 now I'm back again with 2x careful 😊
Love ur tips
what about scapula pushups? do we hunch?
no, he meant in uncontrolled hunching, if its controlled like in a spacula pushup or a protracted pushup ur fine
@@hamin. what about any kind of supinated/bicep push up
@@hamin. Sorry mate I'm still confused if my form is wrong😥

Leaning forward while doing the pushup gives me the best chest pump it's so nice 👌
First video I've seen where the push-ups have full range of motion.
I do experience shoulder pain. I found this helpful.
Thank you for this! I’ve begun body weight exercising and am always looking to tweak the form for best results. 💪🏼
I'm 65 years old and my shoulders hurt when doing push ups so I tried your technique and low and behold it worked.
What I never seen nor heard on push up techniques anywhere is the hand position. I'm not really sure if this is true for others, but this is the best position for me, the hands positioned right below the shoulder level or pecs level, not shoulder level.
I needed this !
If its right, it looks powerful and strong

Nicely done! You're Always on Target.
Thats really awesome dude. I hope to get there soon.
Sir I am not able to do the push ups
I am ashamed of myself 😢😢
Disagreed about flared elbows. Obviously 90 degrees flared is not right. But a natural flare is best. Tucking elbows in isn't a natural position.
But Cali Move Recommends Hollow Body posture means full range of motion.
❤
I already do it like that and it still feels wrong
I feel ot in my wrists, any tips?
I do all of that except for the lumbar arching. It does work.

i did the hollow movement since i want to engage more of my shoulders is that okay?

@@Guizeuoiq aight I'll give it a try thanks !!
Nice
my inside palms keep going up when i push
I always struggle with push up by over bending my back.😅 idk how to stop

you'd be surprised the number of people who've been training for years and still lack proper push-up form (I'm probably one of them)
my wrists hurt every time I
Bro turned my 5 pushups to 40
Bro turn my 30 pushups to 10
What about if your wrists are what's getting sore? 🤔
Hey. Do your hands/arms hurt when doing push-ups? Mine hurt a lot.
Try closed fist or using dumbbells.
What if my lower back is hurting ?
In the armed forces we had to keep our backs 100% straight - we also did 20 push ups with a buddy sitting on your back wearing his full kit.
Always given by right advice doesn't wrong advice, please
My elbow keeps hurting when i do more than 40 to 50 😢
My right tricep always huts doing pushups, why???
My elbow
What to do when you feel pain in your hand?
warm up your wrist.
Do workouts for your wrist
So it's more like a bench press?
Try it off of your knuckles rather than your palms
I feel pain in the wrists more than anything
Do you have to look up?
Can I lay underneath you while you do push ups so I can tell you if you are doing them right?
these are totally different techniques of push ups. I heard the other techniques from all the fitness youtubers that are totally different from this🤔🤔
There is no wrong form, there is easier and hard. Flared is harder, but if its pain free you can do them like that. Its better to have variety than always press the same way(always warm up before whatever you do)
Tucked push-ups are more difficult. I can't do more than 10 pushups.
why is very different
😂
No, but they do when doin' dips(more than 10 at once). 😢😢😢
