    I feel like everyone that’s hating on this and saying things like”I can buy all those games for 50dollars” is missing the point or they wish they could have one but can’t afford one. It’s like those people that say Ferrari’s are ugly and dumb

    This would be great for multi session or day long table top games like Pandemic.

  • @ketowolf

    I actually love the idea of this! I just hate the way the legs look :(
    Yes, all these games are available on a switch or phone. But having it in a coffee table that’s sitting out and easy to access is much more inviting and convenient I think.
    It’s like a kitchen appliance: the one you leave sitting on the counter will naturally get used more than the appliance you stow away in a cupboard.
    The rubber edges are nice but it makes me worry about spills or dirt getting caught under the rubber edges.
    I hope A1UP support this table well!

    It be awesome if you can use it as a big Roku or fire stick remote. That way you can scroll and see what you want to watch hit play and the show or movie pops up on your TV.

    I've always wanted to make something like this. I wanted to make one geared towards games like risk, dungeons and dragons, Really any tabletop multiplayer strategy games. My son has autism and part Of his therapy has been games like dungeons and dragons. What that has done for him has been mind-blowing. We also live in a smaller house, so storing all of those games on top of all of his toys, anytime that could free that space up, is well worth it.
    If this ran on the Android platform I think it would be way more worth while. Dedicated/propriety app stores rarely work out and is EXTREMELY limiting. If there was a massive library across all game interests, then I'd be less hesitant. Still though, is a killer idea.
    The idea I had for mine, it could implement physical gaming pieces if one chooses to do so. It would include a set of say 8 generic game pieces to use as figures for strategy games, or what have you. That technology has already been in play for well over a decade, so I don't see why that could've be an option right? Maybe even a clear dice set where the touchscreen could read the position that the chip lands on? There's so many possibilities, that hopefully one day a fully fledged table top smart gaming apparatus will cover the gamut of tastes

    I've been thinking about this for the past week. Feels like I need to buy it soon. What I am worried about, though, is what happens if this doesn't sell the numbers Arcade 1up expects, and they discontinue it. Will I lose access to my games, or will I just lose out on future updates? I also really want individual player profiles for my household.

They are in NY while we are in SC. My son and his wife also enjoyed playing it when they were over for a visit. He also plans to pick one up.

    Can you make it water proof? Or like a regular table everyone or atleast 4 person can be comfortable having coffee at? I'll definitely buy this for my coffee shop. Only if its durable enough to go public. You can't always watch it. Hope it'll come with waterproof, dust/dirt/stain/coffeestain proof, breakproof etc. If it needs to go public it has to be durable to be worth the investment. Thanks!

    • @DavidKen878
      @DavidKen878 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is waterproof. Another guy who reviewed it made his video after having it for two months and said his family had spills on it and it was fine. He also spoke on how the table is a dust/dog hair magnet. But none of that affected the table. Also, they're past the investment stage. The table is currently being sold on stores!

    All these games are better on iPad pro, wished they brought Candy Land and the rest it's possible and you can be playing music in the background too. I bet this infinty tablet doesn't allow 80s rock music in the background but I like the idea just hella pricey, if I save a little more...the iPad pro makes more sense.

    It looks super laggy and impractical. I’d rather play the actual board game and touch the pieces instead of touching a monitor. It’s going to get very fingerprinted and sticky. Hopefully no one spills a drink on it. Very expensive compared to just buying each individual board game. Not to mention the fact that you will have to have a power cord running through the middle of your room.
