What are your thoughts on the best 4-player classic arcade beat 'em up? Tough choice between *X-Men* , *The Simpsons* and *TMNT* , but I gotta say, cowabunga dudes. 🐢🐢

I have researched A LOT about DIY arcade tables and this project ist clearly one of the best out there. Using quick release levers for the joysticks may be a good idea for saving another two inches of height, but height does not seem to be an issue with your setup. One question: What games are out there that really require eight buttons? I am thinking about using only six buttons, but I would bite myself in the butt if I later find out that it is not enough for that one game.
Oh man, thanks for the high praise! Quick release levers actually is a great idea. Height actually WAS an issue as I had to change my design a bit from the original concept. As is, there's literally just a few millimeters of clearance when closed. Sorry for the super late reply but regarding 8 button games, honestly I can't think of one lol. Google searching shows a small list but people mainly add the additional button(s) for flexibility, or to have 4 buttons in a row for a traditional NEO GEO setup. Hope your project went well!
brilliant but the time and energy it demands to be ready is a no go for improvised short times sessions, and at the same time, position is not good for long term sessions.
OH Hey! @ 10:30 I might actually have a useless piece of knowledge that might actually be useful. With many power cords / extension cords, you can tell which one is positive by looking at the sheath or the cord itself. One side of the cord should have some grooves. That is the side that is positive!
Seems awesome 👍! About how long do the batteries last before needing to charge them? I thought about just taking an old laptop apart to get the same results. You could even do some mouse and keyboard gaming 😁
That sounds like a great project! 👍 The screen is the biggest power suck so a smaller screen would definitely last longer. If I'm using 2 6ah batteries (i.e., 12ah total), I should get around 5 hours give or take.
Need to take them out to charge. Felt that was the best and safest choice rather than trying to figure out the charging situation without blowing up my table (and/or more) in the process 😅
I hope you see this. So I am one who is having the hardest damn time finding out every piece of information on how to get ROMS. But I think you might’ve given me a hint so when you say look up batocera 128gb is that gonna lead me to how to get robs I still don’t know what to do with the files
If the joystick was flush mount the screen would need to be recessed further back making the table higher. Not really suitable for a coffee table but maybe a bar top or similar.
I hope I get a message back from you, you are inspiration, I create game tables too, your videos are so helpful, @11:58 in this video at montage time who is the artist rapping please..?
You could because it takes a normal hdmi input. Only thing is that in this config the consoles would still need to be plugged into the wall because it's not set up to power them.
Back ache and poor ergonomics. the monitor is stretched also. A true konami cab has great ergonomics for long play sessions and a real 25" or larger size RGB CRT monitor is superior to an LCD.
Going beyond 90 degrees would definitely have been better for viewing angle, but with the top being 28 lbs, this would've introduced a whole bunch of physics and stability problems that I'm not equipped to deal with. That said, the current position isn't making me move my head in an awkward position enough to get a stiff neck. Besides let's be real, there are plenty more ergonomic issues with this set up and I'm definitely not passing a workplace ergonomic assessment lol.

X-Men!
Orrrr lesser known "ninja baseball Batman" really good.
Oh man, that looks amazing! Definitely going to check it out, especially since it's made by Irem and I loved Super R-Type.
@@fp_awesome it's definitely a strange game it's like an acid trip lol but super fun.
TMNT, hands down! Still play it to this day on Wii U Retroarch 👌

That means a lot, thanks!

Excellent build, even with all the Hadoukens, it turned out alright. 👍
That damn Ryu...
Great job this was well done and entertaining to watch! Keep up the good work
Thank Benito, I appreciate it!
Great build! You've earned yourself another subscriber. Looking forward to seeing more cool vids!
Thanks! Been on a bit of a hiatus but just posted one and have more coming!
Very cool project!
Wicked awesome!!! Good job! 👌

Great setup!
Thanks Mike!

That's the complete opposite of "useless"! Thanks for the tip!

@@fp_awesome cool, and can you charge the batteries from this unit or need to take them out?

Can someone please explain why all these type of things pplayers 3 and 4 only have 3 buttons ? Kinda ruins it

I cant imaging removing that control and set it up every time. SHould of just flush mount in the table where open lid and play.

How long on battery time do you get
Around 5 hrs give or take with 2 6ah batteries. Could lower the screen brightness to get more but that would mean lowering the screen brightness 🥴
where did u get the art work from the controllers?
The characters are just random images from searching. I matched them up with a background then finished off the design myself.

Thanks for the kind words and sorry for my super late response! The song is called "That's Just Me" by The Red Collective feat. King Trife and erloom.
can u play ps5...x box series x?

that is a horrible screen position. it need to be tilted back a bit further there mate, or else you'll get a bad case of a stiff neck.
