The Yachats Agate Festival in Oregon was a great chance to see some cool rocks, meet some new people, and enjoy the Oregon Coast.

I look forward to the next Yachats Agate Festival and hope you enjoy the video.

Yachats! Where agate memories were made! I live in Florida now. Many of the Yachats’s agates came east with us. My husband died unexpectedly in 2013. Set in the cement behind his tombstone in Oregon are 5 of the larger agates he loved! I just subscribed. Thank you! Your presentation is excellent!

I've never been to Yachats but have eyeballed a couple vacation rental houses there...someday. I loved that black pumpkin with the skulls and those enhydro agates at the end, super cool stuff

I figured you'd dig that skull pumpkin thing. TBH I wanted to know more about it but I had to keep moving

Very well done. Love the video of all the surroundings and trip there. Love the show. Love the share. 😊❤ it is hard to believe there are so many beautiful stones and rocks and minerals waiting to be found.

Thanks for posting this for everyone that wanted to check it out and couldn't. Loved that giant quartz cluster slice! And all the sculptures and such made out of the minerals. Also, I rather enjoyed all the bits pieced together in editing the video, that was a cool touch. 👍

Thank you so much Andrew, for covering the agate festival! Everyone that was suppose to ho and get me some pictures of it, ended up not able to go! So thank you! It looked like it got pretty busy. Im glad somebody got to go! Lol! It looked awesome! Especially the waves crashing into the rocks, as seen from the bar! Awesome!

Thank you for this video. They kept Kent Gibson, and I so busy identifying their coastal fossils and rocks that we didn't get to see the show.

I'd have like to talk with Kent. I suspect I'd liked chatting with you as well.
      Maybe next time ^^

Thanks for sharing sir! Couldn't get myself motivated enough to drive down for that show but looked like it was well attended. I struggle cause there's always something that I want to add to my collection, but don't want to pay to do so~ haha Thanks again for bringing us along. Catch up again soon~

That wasn't really what I was expecting out of Agate Festival, I mean cutting boards are cool and all but there was more international materials there then agates it seemed like.
I think your video was good here and I'm jealous of your nice weather down there.

I guess the last few years have made things rough on the event and they are just getting back going. I expect to see growth in the coming years as everything returns to normal. It was pretty small though and there was not enough seating for the speaker...not even close to enough seating. Shame too b/c I wanted to get some video of the lectures. Maybe next time.

Cool video. What were those big blue rocks in the middle of the frame at 3.24 ?

I showed up a couples hours after it opened on the second day. I'm not wasting my time doing that again. Wasn't anything festive about it. It was an overcrowded rock flea market.

@@TheRogueRockhound I went last year, probably got there just after you stopped filming. We left after about 15 minutes and went to Thor's Well, so it wasn't a wasted trip.

I've had the most luck with agates around lincoln city, and a little down near Bandon but I probably miss all the times when the cobbles are exposed. I've been watching your videos quite a bit. I like your laid back attitude. Keep up the good work.
