@@TheRogueRockhound I was living in a house in ND and we had a severe storm come through and the wind really picked up and I went to get the kids and the wife in the basement when one of the storm widows blew off and smashed against the side of the house, then the wind just stopped like someone turned the switch off and I looked out the window above the trap door to the basement and watched leaves falling to the ground and then the wind slammed the house just as fast as when it stopped and then it slowed down to what it was before the storm. I found out a couple days later that a mile and a half to the south east the storm (tornado) had pick up fourteen hundred pound hay bales and set them down on the other side of a four strand barb wire fence and didn't brake a stand and the farmer couldn't believe it until I told him what the wind had done. We were in the eye of the tornado as it was forming. I no longer live in that state but have seen a couple of horizontal tornadoes come off lake Superior and that was a trip.
I also live in the Rogue Valley. You know about Josephinite too. Odd stuff. Hey if your in G.P. well tell rock stories. I don't collect much. Found Jasper and petrified Wood, etc.
Just found some josephinite (Awaruite) the other day, but it was only about the size of a dime. I got a new magnet and will be heading back to see if I can find a nice piece. Thanks for watching and if I find a good piece I'll make sure to post ^^
If your ever by the All Sports Park let me know I'll bring my Tumbled Josephineite, Do you ever find meteorites? Lastly do you tumble stones. Always looking for palm stones for my collection.
I like to cut them to see if I can use them and to show people who dont know whats inside. I dont do much cutting anymore unless it's a large, quality chunk. Thanks Eva!!
