Thank you for tunning in and starting your week with me. Here's a 101 video - I like to throw these in 1-2x a year to be a good reference point. Don't forget to LET PEOPLE ENJOY THANGS! Even if extensions aren't for you.

I've been wearing beaded extentions for 4 years :)
I've done clips and a halo and it's by far my favorite. I have small kids so it's so much easier than having to clip hair in everyday and I've had my halo wire break on me at embarrassing times 😳

I've been debating about getting tape extensions just recently. One of my hair stylists said she's getting the tape extensions and was needing models. After watching this video, I'm not so sure I want to go that route anymore lol I'm with you when it comes to patience and laziness. I have naturally wavy/curly, thick, coarse hair. Some days when I wash my hair, I don't even straighten it when it's dried. I just leave it alone lol this video was PERFECT for the information to help me decide which type of hair extensions I should go for. THANK YOU SO MUCH for this informative video! Keep up the great work!

Thank you for making this video! I feel like so naive because so many beautiful people with beautiful hair turned out to achieve the look using hair extensions. I’ve never really used them before but I’ve always wanted that beautiful full wavy look. Girl I would definitely advise you to stay away from the full head of beaded individuals-they ripped out at least 50% of my hair - my hair was paper thin after I had them out it was honestly traumatic- and I went to a really nice salon to get them installed and removed. I’ve worn halos for five years. I started off with halo couture and have switched to hidden crown. Hidden crown has been amazing for me and is less expensive than halo couture. The halo is completely secure the only way it’ll fall out is if you completely flip your head over. Ive had clip ins fall out but never my halo. Each halo has always lasted me a year if not a year and a half. So $150-400 a year for thick long ass hair is amazing to me.

Also a con to clip-ins for people with BABY THIN hair -
They will put bald spots on your head if you wear them everyday for a long time. I wore clip-ins for a couple years & started noticing over time I had bald spots. But my hair is REALLY baby thin hair. 👩🏻‍🦲 I’ve worn tape-ins now for 3 years now & haven’t had any problems. You can wear a high pony when they grown out after a couple weeks & just wear a headband or a bandana. If you place them correctly you can tease your hair to cover the tape & ive mastered it. I do mine my own, It just takes practice & experience.

I have fine hair and tried a halo to add a tiny bit of length but mostly some oomph and I really didn't like how easily it moved on me (small head) or the fact you could see the wire in front because I like you have a part that shows skin cuz we have such thin or fine hair! So, question. When I was little I had really thick, long hair. I now have PCOS and my hair takes years and years to grow, and it's thinning significantly due to the hair loss PCOS causes. I want to get permanent hair extensions to replace the volume I've lost in my hair, but I don't want to be doing it every few months. If my hair doesn't grow, can they stay in longer? Can you keep them in for like a year? What is recommended for me? Getting desperate from the hair loss and not growing hair fast enough to replace it...

I think everything depends in your needs and how much your whiling to take care of your hair (which is a lot) remember it’s basically “dead hair “ and recommend to take care if it twice so the hair can last. To me the must affordable easy and natural looking. i pay 100$ for the install and it takes 2 hr to get it done and i have thick medium hair :) dont be afraid girl change your look !

It's unbelievable to me that people think that everyone can just take vitamins to get the hair they want.
Anyway clip ins all the way! Been saving me for many years.

There’s a brush I used when I had tape ins in that had elongated loops as the “bristles” and it was a great brush because it didn’t get stuck under the tape ins. Not sure what it’s called but it was an extension saver! If anyone knows what I’m talking about maybe you could share for the newbies? Fabulous info vid!!

i wanted to get extensions because the hairdressers did a really bad job with cutting layers and i lost my thickness :( Now is quite thin.. especially that I use heat on it
is it a good idea to get hair extensions in my case? and if what kind?

Using i tip extensions does damage your hair.. I've used them for a few years and being that its only a tiny bit of hair in a bead it can shed and it does pull on your own hair which causes a bit of loss of your own hair..

But u have to realize you shed hair everyday. But you don't really notice it until you actually see it when you take out the micro rings. I use the rings with silicon rings inside.

Great video and lots of info. I cannot do clip-ins, too much time to put them in and the parting and sectioning was a pain for me. Tape- ins just seem too damaging. I went to an extension hair dresser and she has hand- tied sewn in wefts, with the beads and thats what I have now. They take getting used to, and are a little irritating at first. I broke a string on a weft already and she fixed it. I do like the sewn in and my hairdresser insists theyre less damaging on hair. I bought my wefts from a local hair and wig place, stuff is expensive. I have 3 rows ( wefts) too. I put it in a loose ponytail at night to keep my hair from tangling and I am careful brushing. It takes getting used to but I love my 20" long hair. Extensions are kind of a pain unfortunately!

I know this sounds dumb, but I have very curly hair and curly hair is naturally more dry and some frizz, , so when you say make sure to get Remy hair when the shaft are all same direction with someone like me who has curls and that means more frizz and dry wouldn't it better to get hair that isn't treated with the hair shafts all one direction? I have looked at extensions before and they always seem to be "too" perfect. Hope this makes sense

I know this is a year old but hoping u can help. What extensions would u recommend of all u showed, for us short hair girls that are lets say less than financially blessed? Could prolly do the installation price 1 time but heard the maintenance afterwards is much cheaper than the initial install..
