Trains at Westbury in the 1980s & 90s Part 2

The second installment in a trilogy of videos looking at freight and passenger services at Westbury in the late 1980s.
The 59s had recently appeared on the scene but there were still 56s and 33s around.
Sadly the quality of equipment available to non professionals is far removed from that of today.

Notice the Hercules banking overhead in the opening shot. Good spot for watching air activity associated with exercises on Salisbury Plain; i remember watching two A-10s practicing dogfighting right overhead. Most entertaining

Yep, it the only place I know that’s as good as now as 20 years ago…….tractions not as exciting tho
