No one is telling him to stand there. He can literally duck under after the trains are together. He chooses to do it that way because it saves 7.2 seconds
thats alot of time to be honest if you add it up...I mean definitely not worth the risk but as far as efficiency, I can see how enticing this is..

In Canada, there's no way any worker would be allowed in between them while they are moving 😜. Wait outside and then do it. Christ 🙄
That's a thing to learn and avoid risks like in this video
YOU AND YOUR FUCKIN COUNTRY🖕
Well with Canadian trains having Buckeye couplers then no need to "hook up". Inda uses practise derived from Britain so they still use screw link couplings. Still its still dangerous, but you know indians just don't care about health and safety. XD
@@JintySteam1 so what we are professional with our work
@@JintySteam1 India is adopting Janney/buckeye/cbc/knuckle couplers but it certainly ain’t no Scharfenberg coupler
Thomas ran off to find the coaches.
"Come along! Come along" he fussed.
"There's plenty of time! There's plenty of time!" The coaches grumbled.
The job is not dangerous. Its the employee working mindless. All he needs to do is stand outside the track, wait for the engine to attach with the cars and then do the coupling. But no, I am lazy to step out, and get back in. Hence the risk. Its your call.
Lmao
Yes this type of lazyness is one way to get your brains smashed..

It’s a stupid fucking risks. Safety measures in a lot of non-western countries are sadly pitiful and needlessly so many lose limbs and die every year. I’ve worked in several countries and have seen firsthand. It’s a shame.

No any job you need to risk as a man
India has so many people it doesn't matter if he gets crushed. Making the job more dangerous for no good reason is why stupid deaths occur.
You can also wait on the side and crawl under in 2 seconds, people have unnecessary death wishes...
Fr like you don't even have to crawl... A little duck and side step and their lives might be saved in the future 😅
2 seconds?
For how many years?
It is why, in developed countries, we train our staff about a month before to avoid dangerous situations

Follow my advice: knuckle couplers! They’re automatic, durable, safer, stronger, and don’t require anyone standing between the cars to couple them.

These coaches are old ICF coaches that's why Indian railways is retiring them very quickly almost all 90% of ICF coaches are scraped or using as fright carrier
This is why the US uses knuckle couplings so you don't have to risk getting killed by standing between equipment
India has knuckle coupling coaches too but those are used exclusively for intercity express or long distance running trains. This type of coupling system is a rare thing in India that's why the video was shot else nobody would have cared to capture.
Knuckle coupling knows cbc coupling in India center buffer coupling
Proud of our Indian railways employees 🙏🏻👍🏻
This way of doing it just seems like it's more dangerous than it needs to be, you could probably do half of it with a hook and pole and then step inside to tighten.
The seconds they may save by staying between the cars is not worth potential death.
